Jorge B. Canchola the prefixes hyper, giga, and strata just describe the height. The type of ride is said after. So Valravn is called a hyper dive. The same goes for steel vengeance being a hyper hybrid.

Well I've ridden both, and you are correct. I haven't rode a coaster since Fahrenheit came out whenever that was. I didn't even know candymonium was there when I visited last week. B&M built a coaster in Hershey under strict tight rules before in Great Bear. The structure of that ride is incredible, they were not allowed to build into the water.
My biggest gripe with Skyrush is that Hershey HAS to know that the restraints are absolutely terrible. They could easily boost the reputation of the ride by switching them out, which Intamin has shown they are able to do with the hard over-the-shoulder restraints. This especially should be true now that Hyperion has opened with the same train design and revised restraints.
this is what kings dominion needs to do. they need to open themselves up a crowd pleaser B&M hyper to make up for intimidator and to fill the gap between their mega coasters and giga coaster.

Just got on Skyrush yesterday and the first time I sat in the middle and it was okay. Then I sat on the back and I’m still feeling the thigh pain. I even thought I fractured my femur with how bad it was hurting.
Admittedly I'm not exactly what I'd call a full blown roller coaster enthusiast per say, but as someone that has been to Hershey Park quite a few times, I think that this was a good move on their part. Skyrush is definitely a well designed coaster, but even disregarding the intensity of the ride, which I'll fully admit to being something others would consider a perk, my other biggest gripe about it is how *short* the ride is, especially compared to the lines it tends to attract. Because of that, I've always liked Great Bear and Fahrenheit a lot more. Candymonium at least seems to be a lot more like what I'm looking for in a coaster.
They built one because Kennywood just got Steel Curtain. Hershey has always been classified as a family park. Not too many thrill rides for teen/adults. This new addition should give them something cool to ride.

Ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one that hates the restraints on Skyrush. I love the ride's dynamics, but the restraints are so painful that it ruins the experience, and it's all I can think about when riding. Because of this, I don't ride it often.

edit: they also need something really marketable (especially if they're gonna rmc a woodie) cause the last major attraction they've had was skyrush in 2012
Krista I know!! Sky Rush has insane ejector throughout, Storm Runner has a really good pop of ejector at the top hat and Fahrenheit has the mini ejector hill at the end.
If there's any ride in Hershey that needs an RMC it's Wildcat. That ride is a piece of shit. Riding that followed by Lightning Racer is like night and day.
@@MakBot I agree I would’ve preferred RMC wildcat but a b&m is fine too
Also Canada's Wonderland has both Behemoth and Leviathan.
Mako minus the mid course seems like there's a good chance this could be even better.
There are also zoning issues that explain why they didn’t build a giga.
awesome video
Bro knew that a ranch was coming
And we thought steel curtain was a bad name
Candy is the whole reason this park exists. No factory=no town=no park.
Skyrush is a BADASS coaster.
I think these 6 car trains better not ruin this puppy
I believe the ride will actually run 7 car trains! The park confirmed over social media that the animation is incorrect!
ElToroRyan oh this is wonderful news
I am excited to get this credit when I go on a field trip here next season
two thing. One the triple tower was opened in 2017. And the point where skyrush and candymonium intermingle is called CandyRush not candy crush
Although CandyCrush fits better... you know, because of the thigh crushing that happens in Skyrush 😂.
How’s Texas? I’m in Cancun
The Texas trip starts this weekend! I’m still chilling in NJ. Enjoyed Cancun!
Song name?
It is obviously because a lot of people do not like skyrush because of the layout, intensity, and restraints
I'm not a coaster enthusiast. I went on skyrush, I thought I was gonna die
