This was a game changer for me for I was having trouble lifting my big heavy kayaks and I went the same way you did and I can have my kayak off the water in 2min so I'm out of the way from other boaters and like you I do not have the room for a trailer so it was like a no win thing, I lov mine being able to pull it out of the water with my truck was so awesome and I store the dolly in my truck till the next trip mine is for the p27
I use a bed extender when transporting. I can do it a couple of ways: 1- unload from truck to ground, lift front end and slide it in from the front while pulling it onto the dolly, or 2- (still experimenting with this) slide it directly from the truck onto the sling and let it slide back as the kayak slides out. The cart/trailer is really light and maneuverable. I'll get some video this week of launching and retrieving so everyone can see it in action!

How do you get it from the truck to the dolly when launching for the day?
