This video was super helpful. #1 I also used the wrong size lock washer.
#2 using the paracord to get the backing plate into place might have saved my marriage (just kidding - maybe). Appreciate the content.

The boondox landing gear looks nice. How much extra weight does it add? I use Hobie Cart. Load it in out my truck bed. I've been doing that with both my pa12s almost 10 yrs now. I modified my cart. Replaced the top plugs with Hobie thread in black tie down plugs. They fit tight & perfect & I can drop a bungee through my kayak scupler holes, hook the Bungie clips to top of new plugs in the cart. Then I just lift back of my pro angler & bungie pulls cart up into holes perfect every time. Don't need anyone's help & never tip your kayak over again. You do have to get small double side carabineer clips to attach to bungee so they fit through the scupler holes. Home Depot & Lowe's carry them. I leave my kayak rigged at all times I haven't had roll it on its side to load my cart in 8+years. I also built a kayak stand on casters that sits level with my truck bed. So I can pull my kayak into my bed from the stand, or from my bed onto the stand. I only lift my kayak 1 time per trip when I load it back into my truck when I'm leaving. I wouldn't use a trailer if someone gave one to me. I wouldn't be able to go alot of remote areas I do if I had a trailer & if you don't have a trailer at the big lake in my area you don't have to pay to park & fish. If you have a trailer you gotta pay to park!

We have a few steep ramps around here that launch and load without a trailer a huge pain in the ass. But I agree, I would much rather manage with a load in and out of my truck bed.

I would like to know the installation weight as well? Are there other wheels options?
And how is the solid wheel in deep sand? THX

The Sand Trax wheel is a good upgrade if you are using them in rough terrain or sand.

What are the 2 small metal clips used for? Directions are unclear. Thanks

I wonder if magnets would help with the installation...

This is not what an install video should be. It should be short, concise and in a format that someone can follow along with.
