    Greg traveled about two miles north, up Old River and is fishing the edge of Little Mandeville Island, which is actually a lake.. like Franks Tract.
    Surprised that after catching three in a row, Greg didn't retie @ 7:10 ..especially since he broke off a really good fish on the blade... just a few videos ago.

    You should try throwing some glide baits. They make more reasonably sized glides. I love the Westin Hypo-Teez Glide Bait. It has helped me tons by weeding out the smaller fish.

    The Delta is just amazing in my opinion. It's the kind of place you could spend your life trying to learn and you'd still need more time. It must be terrifying to be a Frog in the Delta! A nice sunny day! Missus Frog has been very receptive lately so you've bought a bouquet of flowers in hopes she still is!! Then all of a sudden the weeds part and all you see is the end coming! They might find his bouquet of swamp flowers but that's about it! Poor Mr. Frog! 😁

    • @GregBlanchardFishing
      @GregBlanchardFishing  Год назад +1

      for sure! delta is probably the trickiest place to find a consistent bite unless you fish here year round

    Been hot here so I went out early this morning to get the first couple hours in. I fished the whole time with the same 3 setups!! Frog ,punch rig and war eagle finesse spinnerbait for the openings and the spinnerbait did all the damage with some post spawn largemouth. 1 was between 7 and 8 lbs. The old obsolete spinnerbait is still my favorite call me old fashioned 😂

    Hey Greg, again I really enjoyed another of your well made videos! The flooded islands that you fished are my old fishing holes back in the 70s and 80s. Caught many black bass and striped bass inside Franks Tract & Mildred island around. Best of luck on your upcoming delta tournament!

    • @GregBlanchardFishing
      @GregBlanchardFishing  Год назад +1

      nice, franks and mildred are fun to kayak fish. lots of places to tuck into

    • @AlmadenJeff
      @AlmadenJeff Год назад +1

      He's fishing on connection slough just off old river. Did he make it to Mildred island? I couldn't tell. Use to rent a slip at Holland for many years. The berth cover you see when Greg comes back up to Holland Tract Rd to launch is where I first rented a side berth. Switch over to a hydrohoist slip on the original berths, opposite side of the office and launch ramp. That was fast water as it's just off old river.
      I watched this video to see if Greg got a Titan X. Apparently not, or not yet.
      What's funny if you follow Greg's links to the lures he's using, theres a Prop 65 warning on some of them. Is that for the fish? Lol.

It seemed to me the smaller fish are feeding in the early morning and the bigger fish move up later in the day. Thanks for another great video Greg ,can't wait to see the tournament videos.

    Well all I got to say is Greg love your vids but I’m sitting here yelling at you through the screen I fill like you need to either let them drop it or not catch as much fish in them spot the you catch 3 with in 5 minutes that’s all you need to know as they are there and stop sore mouthing them but just my opinion but yes I agree that some times to it don’t matter but a lot of the time it will effect it

    • @GregBlanchardFishing
