I give a demonstration how to recover data using R-Studio (which is available for Linux!) Here is the link to the website: www.r-studio.com/data-recover...
I am using Linux Kubuntu. I am not sure if it will be able to read or recover data from an Android phone. I know it can recover data from a micro SD card.
Just downloaded the demo for a test drive. I'm trying to recover a Samsung NVME that was used as a D drive (something weird regarding no volumes shown). Seems to work having grabbed some files in demo mode but my question is can I recover folders/contents or is just the files? Got a 450gb worth of stuff in separate folders and to sort through all that would be a headache.
If I remember correctly, I think the demo mode has limitations on what you can recover. I believe it will only let you recover a certain megabyte limit (5MB??) of files before you need to pay for a license.
Use ddrescue in Linux first by creating an image file or one-one drive clone. And don't use the same drive for recovery. The clone keeps the bad drive separated. Then r-studio or recoupa, or testdisk, or photorec.
If you work for a company you should buy the Corporate or technician version. If you are buying it to use for personal home use, the standard version will be fine.
If you are getting an error like this it probably means that the data is encrypted with bitlocker. If you dont't have the bitlocker decryption key you will not be able to recover any data.
hi, could you please tell me where do I install the program if I have only one drive from where I would like to recover the files from
As far as I know, that will not be possible. You will need to install the program on a completely separate storage device.
What liniux OS are you using sir? Thahnks for the video, can this recover from old android phone? Can it read the internal phone storage?

If you're harddrive is corrupted, would you recommend to "create image" first? Or it's ok to just scan?
It is best practice to always create an image first. That way if the original hard drive fails you can still perform analysis on the image.

can it recover those file which were deleted while changing os
Yes it should be able to. As long as the files weren't overwritten by a wiping program like DBAN.
do i really need to buy the pro version?

can you do a tutorial of how to instal r studio on linux
Sure no problem. It is pretty easy but I can make a quick video on the process.
cant to recover previously bitlocker deleted files...

@commtechengineer612 if full formatted bit locker locked drive to a new empty drive?
Could you please post the activation key
The activation keys are unique, you will need to purchase a license in order to get your own activation key.
