Nice video. I am getting ready to install the same terminator X Max in my 71 Chevelle. I thought the instructions said to NOT connect the trans and ECU switch wire on the same switched power because of fed back power from the trans switch line when the car is turned off...something about not shutting off the injectors. Please correct me if I am wrong just want to hook this thing up right the first time.
Build is looking good boss. Now how did you integrate your stock harness with all of this. What did you leave( for lights, turn signals and windows etc.)and cut? I have an 88 I’m working on and I’m at a standstill with that.
All I have is all lights work so I left all of that alone I still have abs I left that alone and ac wiring I left alone and very important I left the body harness that goes inside the cab on the passenger side firewall leave it alone everything from the engine came off with the exception of oil sending unit, coolant sending unit, sarter trigger wire everything else got cut out which made my harness much smaller and thin but it looks good
@@antonioayala2046 the starter trigger wire did become independent after I took out most of the engine sensors but I ran it with the body harness to the passenger side and put heat tape since it goes under the header on the passenger side
@@antonioayala2046 no sorry bro I don’t but I will tell you I went to the junkyard and got a complete stock harness and I fucked that 1 up it was a learning process for me since I hate wiring after learning from my mistakes I had to try again and just took my time and it came out perfect
@@cesartorres7976 no I didn’t my truck was originally a 5 speed and it was already replaced with a drive by cable 700r4 so the only wire you need is for the 1 going to the brake switch so it can unlock the converter when u hit the brakes
Thanks for the help bro! I’m also having a bigger problem. I can not get my fuel pump to prime! I wired it the same way you did and not getting anything. The pump was fresh before I did the swap. Is there anything else you did that you may have not shown? Even if you think it’s common sense it would help me out a ton! Thanks again
@@cesartorres7976 I was having a problem with the pump as well I was using the stock truck relay and it had a bad ground so in my video you can see a white wire on the hood hinge I just ran it behind the relay and it powered up since I have the old engine harness unplugged it had no ground
Yea I’m running ac I did get a complete wire harness from the junkyard from a v8 2wd truck that I tried to use and yea I fucked that 1 up so I had enough practice and then I went at my original v6 stick shift harness there’s a few things that are different but similar but it’s in and working how it should
Super helpful prob one of the better explained videos
Thank you for watching I appreciate it
I bought the holley connector for alternator, how would you wire it…

You wouldn’t happen to have a video on what you left untouched on your stock harness. Looking to trim mine down and wet to he sure not to mess it up.

Thanks bro how did you run the starter wire?
Yes I did from the original wire harness that’s why I didn’t show it
What is the grey wire for I have one but doesn’t say where it goes….
It goes to the brake switch to unlock the converter when u hit the brakes

What did you end up using for the tach ?
Nothing right now saving up money for a new cluster
Starter and alternator?
The starter trigger is the original 1 for the old harness nothing changed there and the alternator watch at 17:31
How did you get the fuel gauge to work?
I replaced the air core motor in the gage cluster and installed a new sending unit and it works
