    My 1st trip to the Philippines was Sept 2001 to meet my soon to be wife. We were chatmates about 6 months prior. A short time in the Philippines and I too yes decided if and when I retire I will retire to the Philippines. I was here 3 times three wks each time in a span of 9 months. Yes I loved it in the Philippines. My wife came to the US 2002 and we had a daughter Sept 12 , 2002. 8 years later I found myself laid off from a 26 1/2 yr job at 57 years old. I found a part time job and that got me my full 99 weeks of unemployment. As my unemployment was about to run out I told my wife I think we need to move to the Philippines. She seemed to been happy to hear that. There we were moving to the Philippines on the 9th anniversary of my 1st trip. Our daughter is 3rd yr college at UPLB and been President's List of Scholars all semesters. Life is good. We were spending on food one week in the US what we spent for a month in the Philippines. Great video Chad thank you for posting.

    I’m 53 and have an Army retirement and a 9-5 job. I just work, workout, go home repeat. I have tried dating, but I have not been successful at all. I think I should just give all my possessions away and sell my house and go live in the Philippines. Even if I don’t meet someone in the Philippines, at least I would be in a tropical place with beaches and different cultures to experience. I mean hell if I’m gonna be alone, I might as well be alone in Paradise!

I left Vancouver in 2011 for Japan. I’ve never returned. I sure could never afford to return and live in Vancouver now. The only place I could comfortably afford is in the subarctic 12 hours north of Vancouver with 6 months of winter. I finally decided forget it. Now my future plan is to relocate to the Philippines.

Can I keep my U.S. bank and credit card accounts? Will I be locked out of my accounts after 6 months? Will I have to get a Philippine bank account? All of these videos show the usual things, like how great it is, beautiful women, cost of living. But no one gets much info the details when you’re getting started.

You can keep extend your visa for first month then for 3 months and so on until 3 years before you go out from the PH and return back you do the same until you can apply for permanent resident visa....Just keep researching for the details...

If you haven't yet, make sure you visit a place called Cogan's Beach. It is in the northern part of Biliran. The ride on a motorbike from the main road is around 12-15 mins. Very nice ride. Cogan Beach is situated in a cove facing north. You will truly enjoy it. I highly recommend you do a video of it. As you full well know. The culture there is quite different from the West. I was stationed at the former U.S. Navy base in Subic Bay with the U.S. Marine Corps during the 1980s (84-89). I'm a doppelganger of Christian Bale, pretty much all my adulthood and I didn't even Realize that until my early 30s when I started being called Batman, a movie I'd never seen. I'd never seen any of his movies except Terminator Salvation and I was watching that because I used to Go to movies back then and the Terminator series was one I wouldn't miss. Well, even I...had great difficult dealin with women all through my 20s, 30s, 40s. I'd witnessed my older brother and my father on their 3rd wives so of course I was Way less blue-pilled (than they were - I mean, in addition, they believe we landed on the moon! can't convince someone they've been fooled so you give up).
      My teens were GREAT as far as girls Pursuing ME because when you're young you're not jaded, the love is more pure, so That is what I found to be the factor of the Philippines - they're Young (not just technically but spiritually/emotionally/mentally), so your Relationship is much Simpler. You know they say, "The Devil Loves Complexity." THAT is what's wrong with the West - the Devil has PURE control and has had it since at least 1965 (if any of you know what that year signifies).

    Thanks for the videos Chad. As more and more people come what are you seeing happening to Filipinos? Are prices increasing for them due to supply and demand? Do you see Filipinos turning on Westerners because of bad behavior like what’s happening in Thailand? I grow concerned with the Asian culture deteriorating due to Western influence.

    Hi Chad a tip for your subs ,Ive been there done all that, Its not the fix all for most , Some things will also wear on you very hard there and after awhile you have to do something about it. I have a home there and a home here in calif. My wife and i both choose to live in ca. and only vacation there. Reason #1 our kids, they have almost 0 oportunity to start a career and make money there. #2 Same for my wife im retired but she works here in a hospital and would make pennys there. My #1 personal issue with pi is NOISE, Noisy People, dogs, roosters, motorcycles make noise all day all night! Here in ca. its very quiet. #2 all my medical care is in ca. So plan well you might want to come back.

    Times are changing rapidly in the Philippines. Real-estate is going through the roof. It's more expensive now in Phillipines to buy land or a home than the US. Unless you live far away from hospitals, shopping, or restaurants. It's just a matter of time the cost will bleed over to rentals. You can't buy a $200000 home and rent it for $1000 a month.

    • @DestinationJapan95
      @DestinationJapan95 2 месяца назад

      That’s not the real market though. I agree everything is expensive, but for literally no reason. There are excess homes available all over the country, more supply makes them less valuable
      The problem is, Filipinos are brain dead and think a 500sqm parcel of land with no road, utilities, survey or anything 5 hours away from a city with all amenities is worth $100k

    Can’t imagine just starting a family in Canada today, my older brother just had his first kid 2 years ago and a second one on the way this summer, he’s 45. I asked him if he thought about the future at all lol, he will be 65 by the time they are finished schooling 😂 he’s now looking for a bigger place to rent and he can’t find anything for less then $2500 a month plus utilities, to me that’s just crazy to think about. I’m 43 and my kids are about to graduate high school and go on to university and my wife and I are looking at the Philippines for our retirement for sure. We spent a month in Feb travelling around and both can’t wait to get back again to start looking for a small lot so we can build a simple house .

There are challenges here that limit what you can do and I look forward to your future videos where I assume you'll be discussing those as well. Yes..should have motorcycle endorsement on your license but can probably get by without it if a short trip and you plan to avoid the big cities on scooter....if from USA or Canada your foreign drivers license with mc endorsement is good for 3 months each time you arrive from another country.....rental place won't likely require it, but if stopped could get a ticket...most police, traffic enforcement are polite and kind..not looking to bust you for anything extra.. I think he has a Suzuki burgman 125 scooter...
