I've been on Negros Island 9 years now. I'm still getting to know these magical islands. The neon green scenery, the beautiful weather, the warmth of its people, the miles of untouched tropical coastline, the pervasive vibe of deep peace. In my working career in the United States I used to travel to Hawaii on business frequently. The Philippines is fully the equal of those U.S islands. Best move of my adult life was ditching Los Angeles and retiring here.
It's so easy to ditch California! Crazy high cost of living. I live next door in Arizona, and u cross state line into California or Nevada, and prices of everything doubles.

great video, now after living here in the PI for 12 years now, let me caution you, there is a big difference in how you are treated, you will be treated the best if seen as a tourists. People go out of their way for you, but if they know you are a resident, big change and it isn’t a positive one. But overall much better than most places I have lived in Asia and the US.

It’s nice to live vicariously through all the things that you’re enjoying and someday I would like to experience a journey like this if I get to come there. Southern leyte is a gem. The mountains are so beautiful too. Water sooo clear in the south. A 125 enduro style bike will cost around P 100000. The smaller bikes you can put on the bankas like kuja here did. Makes your possibilities for adventure even greater. Great video thanks!

Very cool video, I lived in Sothern California a while ago and I had a friend who was a Sea Urchin diver in Santa Barbara and he would go out with 2-3 other guys on boats early in the morning, out in the ocean far from the shore and they had these huge net-bags and a hand tool and they collect these big Sera urchins and fill out two three bags each and sell them at the pier. I went out with them a couple of times, this brought back good memories. Thank you

My health doesn’t allow me to do the things you do so I love watching your adventures! I also don’t eat much food while there either. I lost 20 pounds on this trip. I’m in a little different situation than you, but I definitely see how having your own motorcycle would be a game changer. Renting a scooter is always one of the highlights of going to one of the smaller islands (I’ve never tried riding in big cities like Cebu)
