Randy Griffin Hey Randy the gauges are pretty awesome. No regrets. Just drove the Jeep for the first time today. Got some minor issues to work through but wow it was fun to drive. Still only have headers on it so I’m sure I pissed all my neighbors off!! Video to follow!!
You won't regret the purchase. I have another video on how to wire them up on my channel if you want to check that out. Very nice gauges. Thanks for the comment. JD
I purchased mine today just a question re: wiring these up i have the painless wiring harness as well were they fairly a straight forward installation cant wait for our ours
Thanks. The glove box is not a cover. I paid a local airbrush guy to paint it. It’s a photo I found and he did an amazing job for actually a reasonable price. Nothing wrong w advance adapters at all just went with Novak as I spent a lot of time with their tech support understanding what I needed to do the motor swap. They also customize a parts package that helped make it easier and included nearly everything I needed for the swap.
@@JDOffline i have stickers of all the mountain passes in southern Colorado from Telluride to Ouray ive done covering my glove box. i pick up my trans and transfer case friday. Motor mnts, headers, and a fan and i can mock it all up. I spoke to Woodys today. after that i can start saving for my Sniper efi then ill be able to start finishing up.
JD I just put in my speedo from speedhut and I have a gap around 3/4 of the gauge. Do you have a gap on the front side on yours? Mine is about 1/8" . I have the stainless dash as well.
The gauges look awesome, but I was wondering if you could help me out with an issue I’m having with my engine swap. I would love to ask you a few questions about your setup if you wouldn’t mind
Glad you asked! So I was looking at pictures of Jeeps and saw a guy who painted a Texas flag on his glove box. That inspired me to want to do the something similar. I found an American Flag picture I really liked and I took it to a local airbrush guy along with a new glove box cover and paid him to paint it. I wasn't sure what to expect but this guy did an amazing job on it and used automotive quality paints, clear coat, etc. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the results and I get a ton of questions about it. Thanks for the interest and comment.
Osmel I don't think this gauge comes with a mechanical speedo option. It's a GPS speedometer which is better in my opinion because you don't have to calibrate for tire size or gear ratio. I've had zero issues with mine. Best bet would be to call Speed Hut tech support and talk through this with them. Thanks for the question.
Dang it!!! I was convinced to stay with my original gauges, but you keep showing these and they are growing on me! Pondering the change... Cheers!
They are really sharp and add a lot to the Jeep. I have no regrets. Look forward to your next video on your Jeep!
Great gauges I love how you can change from light to dark good going jd great to see the Jeep again be safe brother

Yes very simple, you won't have any issues. JD
Guages look cool. I really like the glove box cover also.... Question for ya.... why the Novak mounts over the Advanced Adpt mounts?

No sir no gap at all on mine. Is the cut out too large?

Sure, how can I help?
They look terrific. Really impressive. Did you fabricate the dashboard?
Jim
Jim the dash is a stainless steel sold from Morris 4x4. It's pretty dirty in this video but looks really sharp cleaned up. Love it and the gauges!
Are the lights for you temp and wiper controls the old school ones or are there an led upgrade type?
They are new but old school.
Where did you get the glove box door (American flag)
