- John and Stephen find themselves with two mysteries to investigate-the possibility that Stephen's new teacher Elizabeth M'Boah is a Tomorrow Person and some worryingly accurate paintings of alien planets.
I consist of living fluids and I’m capable of thought, so naturally I approve of this.

I remember reading that Nicholas Young and Elizabeth Adare were really good friends. This comes out in the relaxed way they interact.
Nicholas Young and Elizabeth Adare were together from episode 1 of this story to episode 4 of "War of the Empires" (which was pretty much the rest of the run of the series). I noticed that in the classroom scene at the end of episode 1 very relaxed around one another.
I don't remember it being this bad when I first watched it, but you see things through different eyes as a young kid.

For anyone who's interested, Chris is played by Chris Chittell who you may know better as Eric Pollard in Emmerdale.
He had been in an `Avengers` episode "Invasion of the Earthmen" and in the 1967 film "To Sir With Love"
I love John's over exposition.
Kid: You see, you are some kind of mutant, think of X-Men without fancy outfits and way less budget Teacher: Noooooooooo (runs away histerically and ends up teleporting herself into a heavy acid trip)
Kid and friend: lets find her before she overdo... gets killed in hyperspace.
(They find her but she teleports back to classroom)
A taxy ride later:
Teacher. Ok this is a nice biological talking machine, what else is there to learn? Trauma? Fear? Oh my, that was so 30 seconds ago!
Audience: Yep, perfectly reasonable reaction.

Why is Elizabeth permanently sleeping at the lab?
I remember camping out in my back yard of my house in 1983, and my sister joined me in the tent. We lay in our sleeping bags, (she watched The Tomorrow People with me at 1:30 Pacific time ) but for some reason I can't remember why she missed Episode one of this story. She asked me what happened and I told her about the cast change from John, Carol, Kenny, and Stephen to John, Stephen, and Elizabeth. I explained that I didn't know why the cast changed but I was just remembering that while watching parts 1 and 2 of 9 of The Blue and The Green tonight.

The crazy thing I've noticed is that She is wearing two wigs and you can see them switch durring the same scene at points (bad continutity), one worn out and darker than the other which is lighter and very new -the pig tails being the giveaway-. I don't find her wig bad at all it's how I remembered her best and heck, in highschool I donned a similar look.

Lol Tim does Stephen's homework? His teacher shouldn't be hearing that! I'm glad they said what happened to Carol, falling in love off camera. I was wowed to hear that Kenny's mother was totally accepting of his abilities and moved with him into space, so Dr. Who-like.
Sammie Winmill (Carol) did not want to do anymore of "The Tomorrow People", and left after episode 4 of "The Vanishing Earth". Kenny (Stephen Solomon) was fired after the same story's conclusion. I liked this and the next 6 seasons because of Elizabeth, Tyso(Season 3), Mike (Season 4) Hsui Tai (season 6) and Andrew. (seasons 7& 8)

Sorry to have 2 comments so close together, but I just noticed that the apartment building that Elizabeth visits to talk to Seth's mother looks like the same apartment that Michael Bell (Michael Holoway) lives in in the season 4 story "One Law"

It really is too bad Ginge got written out of the series He and Lefty were my two favorite characters on this show.
Ginge (Michael Standing) was supposed to appear in this story, and (I think) this season . He was injured in a motorcycle accident, so that is why Christopher Chittell (Chris Harding, Ginge's brother) was replacing him. I don't know if Derek Crewe (Lefty) was to appear or not.
