BPS are great handmade quality blades…I’ve got almost all of their knife models here in 🇨🇦 … Beavercraft are a Ukrainian competitor and very similar…
I enjoy your videos, short simple straight to the point… not too long, not too short…informative
    Keep up the good work.

Ive had people say.. that in a " survival" knife... its better to break than bend. Because it represents a better heat treat...their words... Like, really?... you got some wackey survival priorities. but if I was in a survival situation. I would much rather my blade bend so I can bend it back and still have a functional tool. So the tip bending. I personally feel is much better than a broken tip.

I own that one and two others. Good knives for the price for those who use knives as knives. I don't use my under 7" knives like axes.

BPS makes great knives! However, PLEASE CONSIDER that their tactical series are the well known favorite of a certain Ukrainian "battalion". (It's why nobody in Europe buys them.) So if you're ever forced into a self defense situation, the prosecution will use that association against you. They'll present all the photos of these blades carried next to Asov sw@stika arm bands. And your entire character will be called into question... I'm NOT saying dont buy one. Just be aware of the implications if you use one for self defense.

I have two BPS knives. One is some what small. But, I also have the BPS Savage, its a very good knife. Extremely sharp, and comes with a good leather sheath. And now I may soon have a third BPS knife :) I have to wonder, if the Raven is being issued to Ukrainian troops. It does look like a good knife, and built to take some rough use. I will have to think on this one.

A heads up on the Cold Steel SRK-C in CPM-3V on sale at Midway USA. I picked up the orange model for $64. Great addition to my hunting/ camping gear.

I'm looking forward to you reviewing the bushcraft model. I've carried the BPS Bushmate off and on for a few months now and I'm not impressed. The 1066 steel is too soft, the sheath has a bad retention design, grind marks on the spine which is uncomfortable unless wearing gloves. Actually looking to sell it.

Is that the one from DBK bro? I got the Adventurer. Loved it!

@@411Outdoors it is. I've heard that the Adventurer is a better blade. I'm mostly not satisfied with the steel choice. Rolled the edge the first time using it and have had to sharpen it after each romp in the woods. The spine feels sharp but doesn't throw sparks and it has rolled as well.

Just ordered one. What sold me is the tek-lock on the sheath arrangement. I already own over 100 knives.

Another great video review. I have been wanting to purchase a BPS Knife. I’m just not sure which model and whether I want the stainless or Carbon Steel. Awesome content you put out. Two Blades way up!

I have the Adventurer. I bought is as just the blank ($23 amazon), and made my own handle scales. It's a nice lightweight knife.

While it's nice to have a lanyard on the handle I don't care for that metal sticking out on the end of the handle and as soon as you said 5cr I was turned off if I was considering that knife I would only buy it for cutting food. My minimum steal is an 8CR 13 mov. I'm generally open-minded but I don't think that a softer steel is really worth having or paying the same for as a better Steel

I have 2 BPS knives I've had for a couple of years. I don't really care for the one you reviewed. On the website, people complain it is extra hard to get out of the sheath, as you mentioned. Also, the two I have have the leather sheathes which are an excellent feature. Also, they both have the wooden handles, which give them a "warm" grip as compared to the plastic handles of the Raven. Both of mine had VERY sharp blades and spines. So, I prefer mine over the more tactical looking Raven and are less expensive too!

Simple, no frills knife, that doesn't scream, "Hey! Look at me! I'm a fighting knife!", which is good. Even though I could walk down the sidewalk with a 5.5 foot, two-handed sword, legally, where I live, I still think it's good to not attract too much attention, with your defensive capabilities. Too many meatheads see that as some kind of personal threat, to them. The one obviously tactical type knife I have, at the moment, is quite concealable, so no one knows it's there, in spite of its 9 inch length. The Raven looks like a work knife, for the most part, so I don't think it would cause too much fuss. Especially considering all the bowies, and even machetes, guys walk around with, open carry. I've been looking at BPS, lately, so this review is much appreciated.

Yes, I have the Raven and several others from BPS. It's got a great feel, fits the Bushcraft aspects and is well worth the price. I like BPS, especially those that come with the top grade leather sheaths. They all come razor sharp and have superb functionality...thumbs UP for BPS. 👍

Is this knife basically the same blade design and size as the BPS Adventurer?
