That little hide a way space is perfect for a "HOME DEFENSE" tool. You can never be to safe. Glad you took us along on this trip and gave us a tour of your new rig.
We have a tankless water heater. My wife and I can go almost two weeks on 70 gallons of water Boondocking. We keep a bucket in the shower and a small tub in the kitchen sink, when we are waiting for the water to warm up we fill the bucket and tub, we then use that water to go #2 in the toilet. Also when we shower we wet down and shut the water off, lather and then rinse.
We don't have a tankless water heater but we do the dishes the old fashioned way by filling a collapsible basin with water and soap and wash all our dishes that way. Then any cold water that comes out first before filling the basin, we collect in a large jug then put that in the basin after emptying the soapy water and rinse the dishes. For the shower, again we collect the cold water and use it for something else - eg. flushing the toilet. It works well to preserve water. Went to see a Brinkley in person this weekend and yeah, can totally understand why everyone is raving about them. Feels very homey and solid.
I think we might have to start doing things the old fashion way! We like our two week boondocking stays and so we’ll have to figure out something for sure
Very beautiful RV. Would love to have your remote job. I was an otr truck driver. I miss being out there. And having an rv and a remote job like you have. I could do it. You both look so happy and having fun enjoying life. God bless you both. Love the videos. Looking forward for next week's video. Enjoy you week.❤❤❤
Just found your channel. What a lovely RV and what a lovely couple you are. Your dogs are beautiful too. It is so good that you are really enjoying life and living your dream. You are right - life is too short. I agree with someone else who has written you are living a lot of people's dreams. Thank you for a lovely video.
Hi guys... Congratulations on your new rig... It is beautiful... Love those electric dump Valves... A lot of nice features... Enjoy watching you guys slide down to sand dunes.... We have said it before but you guys are the cutest couple... always looking forward to your next video... Stay safe...J&A
Two tips for you: for the shower head, get an Oxygenics shower head. Great pressure with low consumption. As for the tankless issues, your not alone on that one. Tankless is not a good idea for boondocking. Friends in our group have one and hate it. They aren't great for that type of camping unfortunately. Love the look of everything though! The new rig looks like it'll work great for you.
I love the white interior! It's like a blank canvas to create your own color. Yes, a low profile AC with the thermostat in the unit. I hate those. Would rather have more control over the AC in the bedroom. And yes, I absolutely love peeling off the tape and plastic. So satisfying!
@@wildrvlifeI'm new to you and this popped up. This is 8-7-24. I didn't have audio for almost all of your talking. If I turned it up a lot, I could faintly hear some music but not voice at all. Hate I missed so much good stuff!
@@paulab984 so sorry about that but we did get it figured out (it’s particularly a problem if you’re using headphones or something that uses Left/right speaker), but every video after and before this one should be fine!
Very nice. Love the electric dump valves and the water siphon feature. Also the swing out windows. My 5th wheel has sliding windows so you can't keep them open if it rains. The whole layout just seems to bright and airy! And I'm sure Craig really doesn't miss pushing that slideout back in!
Ahhh I didn’t think about that with the windows but that is a great benefit of the swing out type ones! And lol yes!! We talk about that slide every time we go to pack up and how nice it is to just push a button now 😆
Congrats on the new rig and another fun video! Your Brinkley looks super nice. And just as important is the follow up customer support. Now, us RV nerds would really appreciate a tour around the exterior of your Brinkley. Safe Travels!
Our 2023 Thor KW29 Class C has a “Water Miser” water diverter in the shower. When the valve is turned, water stops flowing through the shower head, and is diverted back into the fresh water tank. The result is the water temp doesn’t change when the valve is turned back to the shower position. This valve could be added to any RV, but a return water line would have to be run to the top of the fresh water tank.
Congratulations on your trailer. You know That you can get Teflon disk to go on your pinbox. That way you do not have grease your 5th wheel plate. An no more Grease in bed of truck. Be safe in your travels.
When hooking up to the 5th wheel from the truck, I suggest keeping your truck tailgate up, just in case you're way off on lining up the pin, this gives you an extra fudge factor of another 2 feet before colliding with the trailer. May as well give yourself as much margin of error as possible.
We’ve seen some people who have tailgates that get real close to the fifth wheel (sometimes only inches to spare!) but ours actually has a lot of space - probably because it’s a short bed. Our pin box would actually hit the tailgate in most cases if we left it up 😳
The. Silverware drawer is in the perfect place. Of if u put the plates and napkins on the little side table and your food on the island.. the silver is with the plates and cups.
We usually run the hot water to fill up our zero water pitcher too. Generally by the time the pitcher is full the water is hot. We’re still scratching our heads on how to make it more efficient
Trust me the leather type seats will start to peal in about 6 years. I know mine has and a friend's chairs did. I've heard many people complain of this. Good luck and your rv is beautiful
We’ve been fulltimers for 16 years and are new to Starlink and You Tube and I’m loving it! I’ve just found y’all and am trying to figure out the accents! We’re from Louisiana and I’m thinking Kentucky or Tennessee! Always being in church on Sundays has always been so important to us and we’ve gotten so many blessings where ever we’ve been!!
She’s a hoot, he’s alittle drawn out, lol! Nice rev good tour of it thanks! Can’t wait to see more. Tip, you fill fresh water tank at water station and use baltter for spare and time your showers.
Craig/Victoria, thankless water heater doesn't store hot water, it will take a minute or two, maybe three, then you will have hot water. The theory behind it is, you're not using electric power to store hot water. ( like a house thankless water heater). You won't run out of hot water once it starts. Enjoy....
Just started watching your videos last night. San Luis Lake is less than 20 miles from my childhood home. Looking forward to to the next stops throughout southern Colorado as I catch up
Nice 5 wheel. Lots of women put jewelry in the drawer over the dresser. I had a manual air conditioner in my old camper in the bedroom also. But the important thing is that you have a air conditioner in the bedroom.
Yes! I do actually have some necklaces that I could probably move to that spot and it’d be better than where I have them now 😅 and agree!! The manual A/C is totally fine, as long as we have one!
Yeah they have Dunes all over the place out west you got some in Oregon you got some in Idaho you got some in Nevada down there by falling off Highway 50 some real good Dunes out there and some tall ones
Interestingly did they talk about the dealer experience as compared to the last? Would've liked to hear how the process transpired and whether or not a third party inspection was requested.
Electric Power Jacks to stabilize the RV No Thanks especially for the price of the RV. Other than that the Hideous color on the furniture ... I think You all made the right choice for the fit and finish and quality of the RV its amazing...
Such a refreshing and down to earth couple. What do you guys do for work? We’re trying to navigate our way to full timers and are interested in how things work
I'm looking at replacing my Montana with a Brinkley. How do you deal with the lack of a factory entertainment system? What about an FM radio? USB input for MP3 music? DVD or Blu-ray player? Where are the house speakers, just the tiny ones in the TV, or are they hidden (not the woofer)? Is there surround sound? Is there a cushion for the bench, or this is like a church pew?
I met a guy that used a front storage area (weight on the truck) for a second water tank tied into the primary tank for boondocking. He didn’t travel too far with it full. Sacrificed some storage for extra water.
The newest units with thermostat in bedroom also have the windows next to the bed that dont open like yours. No idea why but I'd rather have them open myself
Congratulations on your beautiful new rig!!! A couple of suggestions for your water use- Look at installing an Aquaview Showermiser. It’s a freshwater return valve so instead of water running into your grey tank while waiting for hot water in the shower, it returns to your fresh tank. You’ll also be able to avoid wasting water and temperature blasts/fluctuations when taking a Navy shower by using the Showermiser valve. 👍🏻 The very best tankless gas water heater is the Truma Aqua-go Comfort. It has a small mixing chamber that holds hot water and really helps supply instant hot water when doing dishes, etc. It also has an eco mode when you don’t need instant hot water. It functions just like home hot water where you can mix in as much cold as you like. No preset temperature to adjust. We had the Truma installed in our last two rigs and it was well worth the money!
In the HVAC industry we call it the tankless “cold water sandwich.” The Showermiser sounds like a recirculating system. It’s like a bypass the keeps hot water present at the fixtures. Did you try it? If so, how did it work?
Looking forward to following your adventures in your new Brinkley! We are retiring in a couple years and doing our research to go full time. Brinkley is one that has caught our eye! Can’t wait to follow and see how you like it!
I’ve watched a few accidents with connecting up to the car, if the front tow bit doesn’t click properly, and you drive forward it makes a real mess of your truck. The other one I’ve seen is a small toy getting stuck under the slide and it tore a big hole in the flooring, the couple had to have toe floor redone.
I think u should take me with you. I am a nurse and you can always use a nurse in vase something happens… AND I used to own a hair salon and did hair… you two would always have “coiffed “ hair. Lol. For real ..plus I am fun 🎉
Huge thanks to Victoria pointing out the plastic to peel on the microwave. We were wondering why we got a plastic smell when we ran the microwave, lol.
I bought a truck camper that had a tankless water heater and I fixed it by replacing it with a regular one with a tank. It fixed the problem. Nice rig otherwise!!

If your border collies have dry skin issues, try giving them fish oil on their food. You can just poke a fish oil capsule and squeeze it onto their food. On one meal a day. Once their skin gets better you can drop it down to one capsule every other day.
We loved our time at San Luis Lakes Campground and the Great Sand Dunes last October! Cool to see some familiar campgrounds in the video. Nice job! P.S The sandboards don't run out quite as quickly in October and the sand is a bit cooler to walk on :)
