Thank you for this outstanding resource for our Veterans & their families. My husband's a Vietnam veteran with 100% permenate disabled. He was on a tracker team with his canine "Nickademus".He was exposed to Agent Orange & in country for 18 months. He had 2 episode's of lung collapse's in 1984, and was working at the time as a Foreman for a Hunting Ranch in Texas. He lost his job from that & we had a new baby at the same time. If you think you could help us in Any way we would appreciate your input. Thanks🙏👍🇺🇸
Great videos. Very informative. Just to be clear, I'm at 90% w/IU and P&T, understanding rental income is considered passive income, does that still apply when the income is way over the poverty line and it is being manage by a managing team? Thinking about moving to a smaller place and renting my larger home.
I am currently 90% Service Connected. In my original claim for issues through my AM Legion VSO (2013), I had listed 2 active duty incidents where I had 3 TIA strokes, total and after my 3rd TIA (2nd TIA that night) I was told the doctor had found a PFO that eventually was determined to have caused blood clots to go to my brain. What I got was a 'Not service connected' determination. My thinking is that the govt allowed me to join the military after an induction physical and when I had multiple TIA's while on active duty wouldn't that be considered 'aggravation of an existing medical condition'? I have had a TIA since the operation and I have all documentation and would love to pursue it if you folks would like to discuss it?
I've had ACL reconstruction, 3 foot surgeries, left shoulder surgery, and only got 60% I also have sleep apnea done at a VA hospital but got turned down, and recently diagnosed with severe asthma
I have been at Camp Lejune. in 2010 i sent in a letter about Camp Lejune about the ground was sort & 55 gallon druns with no label & no one told us we needed gloves. The radio plus wire shaft was small. We had to go out side to air. After that A super fund came out.
I’m 100%IU P&T. I also heard IU with P&T is uncommon but does happen from time to time. I was told if I make the minimum I could make at the poverty level that the VA would see I was working and take my rating away. It’s a rock and a hard place. Can they do that? I believe the poverty level is around 14k a year. I’m also receiving social security which also follows that same poverty level. I’m so scared to even try working a day or two just to keep me busy because if I lose my benefits my family will suffer. Any advice? I’d rather be 100% P&T but scared to even go back to the VA for anything ratings wise. I don’t trust them. They also rated my TBI under PTSD. I don’t get it.
Once you are 100% P&T with IU you can’t work. With the 100 P&T Scheduler rating you can work. But here’s the thing to remember. Once the VA determines that you are 100%P&T you are said to have total social and occupational impairment. If you do decide to work the VA may use that fact as evidence that your condition has improved and could decide to reduce you. Hope this helps answer your question. Check out a guy named Combat Craig on RUclips. He knows a lot about the VA claims process and procedures. And yes, your TBI should have been rated separately, and having TBI would qualify you for special monthly compensation. Talk to a VSO but remember: Anytime you file a claim it opens the VA up to possibly reduce you.

I received a 100% P&T rating, and am considering filing a secondary claim for ED (secondary to anxiety disorder, which was service connected). Would I be at risk of rating reduction if the medical file diagnosing my ED also indicated improvement of my anxiety disorder? Thank you.
@MichaelFry, You may be subject to a rating reduction generally VA can order a re-examination at any time if there is new, relevant medical evidence that your disability has improved.

I am a 57 year old Desert Storm vet with a 40% rating for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and 50% for mood disorder with depression and anxiety. I drank over my issues for 22 before going to the va for help after receiving a felony 3rd dui. With a 70% combined rating I am contemplating filing for tdiu. I have been unemployed for 2 years. My career was outside sales and which enabled me to work from my home since no one was looking over my shoulders. Between the 2 disabilities I can no longer keep full time employment. Can not do physical work due to cfs and my mental disabilities enables me from performing a full time job. What’s my chances?
Barry Bedells hi are u still there? Did u file for tdiu yet? I'm asking because I just got approved and would like to offer some insight and/or hear how your claim is going?
Barry Bedells Thank you Barry...with what you explained here, it sounds like you're in a really good position for tdiu...when were u awarded that 70% and do u go to the va regularly for your SC disabilities?
Barry Bedells also call the VA hotline 800 827 1000 first thing Monday and follow the prompts to file a claim and tell the va rep on the phone that you want to file an intent to file - this protects your award back pay date and it's valid for a year as long as you put the claim in prior to that year expiration
lo ca I went to 70% a little over 2 years ago when my mental health rate went to 50%. And yes, I go every 2 weeks to see a mental health social worker. He is really great. I go see my mental health Doc every 4-6 weeks. As far as the cfs, I have been to the pain doctor twice and he set me up with a tens unit, high doses of Tylenol and voltarian gel. After 2 visits he said he does not need to see me anymore unless things take a huge turn for the worse. I see my general physician every 6 months for updates.

I'm asking because I just got approved and would like to offer some insight and/or hear how your claim is going?
lo ca Have not field yet but YES, I’m definitely looking for any advice you can offer. Congratulations on getting the benefits you deserve.
10 year disability rating
Hello,
Can yall please do a short video or a video along with more information about back pay and how they do it such as if I filed a claim December 6th and then was awarded February 15th say I went from 60 to 70% what would the back pay be? It seems the VA only does full months of back such as you needed to file on December 1st and be awarded at the end of February in order to get full 3 months of back pay. Ya know what im saying. its confusing. Thank you
@TylisticFerril, thanks for reaching out. We currently have a video on back pay that you may find helpful. cck-law.com/video/va-back-pay-or-retroactive-benefits/

If you're 60% Service connected and have been on 100% unavailability for 28 years, why can the service connected not be moved up to 100% total & permanent?
I'm a 51yr old female 100% disabled veteran. I'm wondering if I can also get SSI or social security. I was told that I make to much in benefits that I can't get either. Is this fact?
@@NicePudding I guess I should get my money back from the attorney who told me I make to much. Thanks a million brother.
In advance thanks
