The meter is of a high quality and works really well. Not only is it great for helping to find perfect balance in stiff mounts but it is a fantastic aid to fine tuning your mount for the best guiding. It will assist you in adjusting your worm drive/gear mesh to the optimum setting and giving you great smooth tracking and excellent guiding numbers.

    Great capture in Suffolk.
I've taken a photo of the Suffolk sky on the darkest winter night for 23 years. Its so sad as the Milky Way just fades away.
The startrax is like the custom software a Japanese photographer used to turn high speed video frames of a twirling dancer into ice creams.
The night sky is now 'grey' as compared to the orange, LED lighting makes filtering even more essential but results must be affected. Thing is we didn't know then in 1970's because an imaging chip was made by hand and cost £300,000 each.

Hi Mark and thank you for watching and commenting. wouldn’t it be amazing to take this tech back in time where light pollution was not so bad. I feel so sad that we are losing the beauty of the nightsky to artificial lights and more satellites by the day. Filters are getting better but nothing beats just looking up at a sky full of stars. Where in Suffolk are you?

I haven't done any star trails in ages very nicely done, I see you've used Starstax Glenn a great program that, I've also used it for Solar ISS transits to.

Superb, what software did you use to get the effect of the star trails growing, I have done stacked trail images but not a video like that…👍🏻

Hi. Its a free program called starstax. It takes your timelapsed images and builds the startrail image, You can then take these and make a timelapse that gives that effect. I am planning a video on how to do all this once I have my new obsy built (fingers crossed in next 2 weeks)
