"Happy chicks are quite chicks" haha so true. All critters need things to keep their minds occupied and out of mischief. Names are so cute, bet your granddaughter got a kick out of helping name them. Thanks for sharing and proving once again you don't need a whole lot of money to do well and be happy.:)

A 20$ four man tent from Facebook marketplace, plenty of room they can’t fly out, mesh all the way around the top. There’s one in my living room right now they love it.

Hello DD Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate the mesh around the top idea. I have used window screens in the past as well and those worked perfect. I really like the idea of using a tent BEST because then you can sit inside with them and you don’t have to worry about them flying too high. LOVE IT!!!! 👍👍👍😃😃😃 I would sincerely LOVE to see a picture of yours! Thank you for your great tips! Liz

Hi Liz, You are really thinking 👍
    I love their little apartment.
The older Worm shavings can be used for your Worm bin 🪱🪱🪱
Your granddaughter is really going to love visiting ❤

Hi Peggy and thank you! These little chicks Re growing so fast and now they have full feathered wings!!! Im gonna have to add yet another room to their hone! Hahaha And yes I agree about the shavings! The pine makes a great “brown” addition to the compost bucket. Quick little question for you… is fresh raw chicken poop ( from my older girls) to strong for worms? Wasn’t sure if I should let that dry out first before adding to my compost buckets. Thanks Peggy I appreciate your friendship! 👍😇👍😇 Liz

@@GardenHappy Personally, I would allow it a few months to age before giving it to a Worm bin. Of course, you could add it to a compost pile to get it to heat up 🔥

Thanks Peggy thats what I was thinking too! Im told chicken poop is the most acidic and hot of all animal manure, but the best fertilizer as well Thanks for the tip! 👍👍👍
