Idk mine was not finding any WiFi signals not mine not my neighbors (I live in a town home and share my right and left walls with my neighbor) my Xbox was in the room directly above the room my WiFi box so I in plugged it and moved it down stairs and now it sees all the WiFi signals in the area 😐 meanwhile my ps 4 PS3 360 Wii U my phone tablet laptop where all picking up my WiFi and my neighbors

All you gotta do is buy a $5 Ethernet cable you can get a new console if you want. Its something messed up in the interior of the xbox so if you get a ethernet cable (wired connection) it fixes perfectly

Greg Morton theres something in your xbox that makes it connect wireless internet and its messed up so you can get a new console, console repair, or ethernet cable
Ok guys so before you do this!!! I was trying to connect my Xbox through wifi, it kept saying CAN'T CONNECT (of course) then it said "Your router modem may be set up to filter out some devices" and showed your Mac ID. long story short, I tried a bunch of things to see if it was filtering it out and couldn't freaken find anything!! so just by luck I went to 1- Settings 2-All Settings 3-Network, Network Settings 4-advanced Settings "'5-Alternative MAC Address"' it reset my Xbox then when I retried connecting wirelessly PRESTO!! :D back to Xbox Live and all it's glory!! hope this helps. :)

After I tried lots of things, what actually worked for my Xbox One S was simply disconnect the power cord from the back after I had the console fully turned off and after 2 hours I tried connecting it back to the internet, and this time it worked just fine
Can u make a better step by step video and show every detail. So we dont miss any steps. After i hold the 2 buttons & hit hold power button it just shuts off & nothing happens.

Tried unplugging it for 2 hours, hard reset (holding power button for 10 seconds) and then factory reseting everything again and it still takes me to the screen with the controller and after i set up the language i type in the wifi password and it says checking connection and then ultimatley says "can't connect to wireless network" 😥

All i did was to unplug it from electricity... and when i turned it on it was booting up a little longer than usual but it worked fantastic after it

@@yinzer2231 If you reset the xbox you will need to sign in on your profile again. Don't worry about xbox live because when you re-connect the profile it will be there. It follows the profile not the console.

Clawed 14 Also, did your controller stop connecting. I have to have mine plugged in and apparently when the controller doesn't sync, it's a sign of a damaged wifi card so maybe it is broken. Oh well, it's only like $20 to buy a replacement one and it's fairly easy to install. Also, I tried it about 8 times and nothing has happened.
Thanks for the video! I done exactly what someone suggested in the video first and it worked! I simply unplugged my xbox one from the wall, waited 30 seconds, plugged back into wall. The console took longer to start up, once it started up i was able to find my internet connection! And I did not have to erase a thing!

I got to the troubleshooting menu and reset it everything like you said but my wifi network still won't show up and it still says there's a hardware issue so now I can't even get to the home menu or anything. Basically stuck now. Any fix?

Almighty Cl0ut if you didn't then you need to erase your content that's what mine did and you just have to do the process to get to the troubleshoot screen and erase content nos
Yes, I erased everything. Reset to factory and everything. I bought it on Ebay and it said it was in almost new condition so I'm returning it. However, when I first started using it was working fine but then the WiFi disconnected. I got disconnected from Xbox Live and every time I tried to connect, it'll say that I was using a wired network connection when I wasn't. Now, I tried your method but when I got to the Network connections part, no networks would be shown and whenever I typed my network name, it'll just say it's a hardware problem.

All these videos are amazing. Hard reset. Incredible advice. Geesh, might as well just reboot the system once a day. This is a MICROSOFT problem, they need to solve for this.

TRY THIS FIRST;
(Especially if your system has made any reference to your "Mac ID")
1) Go to settings
2) go to network, then network settings
3) go to advanced settings
4) go to alternate MAC address
5) press clear and agree to it.
When your system is done restarting you will have to connect to the internet. If wireless and you need strength because of distance then you want 2.4 ghz, if you're close enough and want faster speeds then you want 5 ghz.
I refuse, absolutely REFUSE to use the data to redownload my ENTIRE LIBRARY, internet isn't a free flowing stream, it comes in blocks and you WILL get charged more if you exceed your plan. My Xbone worked FINE last night and today it said "oh, you wanna watch something while you paint models? P'shaw!" And thus I spent the last hour figuring this out. Time is money, let's not waste either here.

So my Xbox 360 connects just fine to my IP address but for some reason my Xbox one says that it can’t find my IP address. I was just online about 4 days ago. Turned my Xbox off, plugged my Xbox 360 in to get a game out of it, then turned it off and plugged my Xbox one back in but didn’t turn it on. Earlier today I turned it on for the first time in 4 days and it won’t connect to the internet, but my Xbox 360 will just fine. What do I need to do?
Just a heads up.. I tried almost everything (other than the full console reset) and the only thing that worked for me is to unplug the USB port I had in... I know it sounds weird but if it’s not in it works...

Edit: Fix all I had to do was set up anew wireless network, lol.

brother I need help😭😭, I also made the same mistake, I thought that when I prescribed the Xbox it was going to be fixed, it won't let me connect to Xbox live it tells me YOU CANNOT CONNECT WITH YOUR DHCP SERVER. 2:25 once your in that screen? when your in that screen the xbox is on and a few seconds later you said to turn on the xbox by holding the 2 buttons, but isn’t it already on than?

i hard reset it on the troubleshoot menu, removing everything and it put me on the A,B screen and it still says i need to connect to the internet saying "Sorry, the wireless network hardware on this console is not working. It will need to be sent in for repair." it's still not working and it's fucked up even more

Dude You saved me money Thanks I presssed the two buttons and power and it wouldn't do anything for few minutes but could hear it running then it stopped unplugged it then i pressed them again and i didn't have to do any thing it booted up and went to the xbox logo and was good to go thanks again for the tip didn't know about the pressing the two.

I heard about this, and I never experi it. Till recently, I got a new router the Athena rta2600 r2. So o installed it and play the first two days and it work just fine. But after that my xbox keeps getting disconnected and reconnecting every 1 to 2 min. Idk if this because xbox live started acting up this week. But I trun my 5ghz connection off and connected the xbox to the 2.4ghz and it seems to solve the problem. Any ideas?
When you hold the eject button and the sync button and press the Xbox button do you have to keep your fingers on the buttons for the whole 15 mins
I clicked remove everything and still gives me the same start up menu, and i still have to setup my internet connection which I can't. I pressed removed everything twice and I still cant get to the home screen!!!!

I have a problem where I’m playing fortnite it will log me out and tell me there was a party error and it does this every 5 to 10 minutes sometimes boots me offline but when I test network and multiplayer connection it tells me it’s all good

What my Xbox does is it would let me connect to wireless WiFi but every 10 minutes it disconnects and reconnected and disconnects over and over and over and I don't know how to fix it and I have good internet. My router says all the time that the internet is connected but on my Xbox it's a different story.

Didn't work
After trying all the solutions above, nothing was working. I actually downloaded the OSU update from Xbox website and installed it on the console with a USB stick. Now I was able to move forward until the Home menu, and my Ethernet connection is working. Still trying to fix the WiFi now.
The problem I have is my xb1x randomly drops the wireless wifi connection and I have to renter the modem password to get online. This works for a while. A few days or a week but it will drop it again and once again I'm forced to enter the modem password. It doesn't save my modem password.

What I did was I went to network, then hit advance settings... For IP settings and DNS settings put automatic. And for alternate MAC address press clear. It should restart your console and after that it should work.
i did the hard reset and it didn't work , im constantly trying and trying , last time i did this i reset it it didn't work so i turned it off den da next morning turned my router off and it had work , not sure if turning my router off worked but i dont think so cuz i did that this time n it's not working

There's no way Im willing to lose everything, nor saves, and I dont have any way to back them up. I can still connect using a wire, but wi-fi keeps getting disconnected so its not a big deal for me to just use an eithernet cable.

This works, if you haven't damaged the internal hardwear. After this happened the first time I tried all forms of troubleshooting including this. It hasn't worked this time; but I learned my actual wireless transmissions were unlodged from the housing.
If this doesn't work...you have a broken Xbox.

My xbox one was hard reset as there was network hardware problem. That didnt fix it. Now when i try to start xbox so i can play offline i have to do a set up like its new.i xant get past the Internet set up now.. I cant access home screen. Just stops at failed set up. I dont care at moment having no internet but would like to play single player. It was a day one console

so I turn it off and press the both button and then turn it on with the button still hold
Unplug it for 30 seconds plug back in and it will reboot the WiFi board.
