All, if your experiencing the start up noise, the light comes on and goes off right away do the following. 1. Unplug the power brick to 30 seconds, both to the wall and xbox. 2. Reconnect power supply, and press the power button. 3. Tap eject button 1 time. It's another way to "hard start" the xbox. If nothing then, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, and then add the above 1 through 3 steps.
@@BrianBattles these bricks have all sorts of weird anomalies to them. Sometimes they get hot, or dirty, and sometimes a complete power down of the brick helps kick it back in cycle.

What happens was my power turned off during a storm, and it won’t turn on at all. I am repeatedly tapping the on button and it makes no since because the tv and other things are able to turn on. Help😭

If you cant see anything on your screen there really isn't to much you can do. I would try replacing the hdmi cord. If it is not the hdmi cord then the next step would be to do a power cycle. To do a power cycle: You will need to press and HOLD the power button on your CONSOLE until the LIGHT turns OFF. Next you will need to unplug your console from the wall and wait 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes are up restart the console. If that doesn't work here is a link with instructions on how to do a factory reset on your console. support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/reset-factory-defaults-using-usb-flash-drive You should be able to do this even though you cant see the screen. Please let me know how this goes.
I think a mistake sellers make when it comes to selling a Xbox One that doesn't power on is they didn't 1. Clean the inside of the console. 2. Clean all plug in parts with Isopropyl Alcohol 3. Try another Outlet. 4. Use the controller to try to turn on the console. 5. Replace the Power Supply. I may have listed something he already said in the video. I got a Xbox One for parts for $25 and before plugging everything in I cleaned off all the ports with Isopropyl Alcohol and hooked it all up, Boom! It worked. Then I cleaned inside the console and replaced the thermal paste.

For those who need a real fix listen here!!! Unplug except the power. Then turn on your xbox and when you see the light come on unplug it quickly before the light goes of and repeat a few times. Then plug everything back in and if it doesn't work do it again trust me it will work. Xbox one has surge protection so never plug your xbox one in a power bar with surge protection.

pro tip: it can also die instantly due to heat protection. I blew once inisde the holes of the power brick and then it worked again and displayed a message that the holes should not be covered and that it had been overheating

You could still have a faulty power supply. Orange light means it is asleep and doesn't read the Xbox. Mine did this, swapped power supplies and worked
That's not true mine is a constant orange but yet it still turned out to be my power supply fan since it stopped working it would send a signal to my Xbox then my Xbox would turn off

I know that this is much later but, as long as you get your old account on, you can redownload your games
Either that or take both consoles apart and switch her the hard drives them youll get all your saves and etc

You could still have a faulty power supply. Orange light means it is asleep and doesn't read the Xbox. Mine did this, swapped power supplies and worked
That's not true mine is a constant orange but yet it still turned out to be my power supply fan since it stopped working it would send a signal to my Xbox then my Xbox would turn off

If the step in this video didn't work I would suggest calling Xbox customer support and speak with someone in that hardware department. That way they can go over any option you might have.

That didn't work I got a new power brick and it still doesn't work I went to a repair shop and they couldn't fix it I think it's the Xbox one its self
OK what I suggest to do now is call Xbox customer support and speak with someone in the hardware department. They should be able to see if your console is still under warranty and if it's not then they can give you a quote on how much repair costs would be.
