thank you for the video! i saw that they added the capital ships but there were no videos or images to show how it looks like, so i am glad that i was able to find this video.
It's amazing what this developer is doing with this game compared to, for example, what Elite Dangerous would call an update and considering what resources that developer has in comparison.
@jrfirefiher1977 idk. The 500 concurrent players down from 10+ thousand 3 years ago. The company hasn't put a single dev dollar into the game since oddesy. Almost all of the dev crew has been put on other projects. The roadmap has been completely abandoned. There is no update planned for the foreseeable future other than "fixes". Console port was murdered. Don't you read the dev logs lol? If you look at the old roadmap that game should have had 5 major updates to oddesy by now. You have got 0. Unless you count a cutscene.
Whoops, I forgot to put the text to clarify that footage was from the dev version! Still, the price can vary a lot, and I'm pretty sure ship prices will be revised as they are a bit all over the place right now. Thanks for watching! :D
If a capital can't dock at a guild station can you use an away ship or something to still board it? Sorry for question, i haven't bought the game yet i've been on the fence over a couple features.
is there random "space chatter" in this game like Freelancer had? that was one of the coolest things i loved about Freelancer it made the game feel more alive
For now, it does have some chatter when flying close to stations. I would like to see it further expanded though, but it already shows either some influence or that the dev got eye for detail. :)
@@stoves5877 its more at the simple ability to produce content. CIG literally takes 9-12 months to make a feature at all unless they're repurposing stuff theyve already made. They're not destroying the game, tehy're destroying CIG's premise that making games is uber hard and takes forever.

There is one important feature I did not hear was covered. When you purchase a capital Ship. That station becomes your new ship's (Home Port). What that means is you can only dock at this station. If you wish to change to your Capital Ship or switch to another ship. Like your fighter or mining ship. You can dock at many stations, but not swap ships to or from your capital Ship.
They need carrier style capital ships. Its a fun game but one of the things I noticed is the size scaling is off. The thing that makes this game good is the fact that it doesn't have many games like it.
I'm seeing a lot of good stuff from this game on yb recently but I dislike playing whatever 2 game before checking the first. What I mean is first game worth or skipble?
Hi! The first game is pretty different from this one, as this is intended to be more open world/sandbox, dynamic, and just bigger. First one is skippable if you are mostly interested on the second one's features. But if you like space sims, chances are you will enjoy the first one - which can be played while the second is still in development. :) Thanks for watching!!
So this is literally a indie version of elite dangerous that is actually good and doesn't depends directly on its community to be playable, ill probably buy it
the economics of structures and occupied systems are not properly implemented, and only loot from battles is counted. I don't know if it makes sense to add another trading system when the basic economic system is not currently implemented Warp bug makes the game almost unplayable. In the second or third warp, the system crashes with a 100% chance I think the priority is to get the already released contents working properly than adding new contents
Are those crashes on 1.6.0? I've played the update for about 10 hours and only had 3 crashes on the dev version prior to release. Would be really good to have those crash reports on Steam forum / Discord bug report sections. :) Regarding the developer priorities, each dev has their development philosophy. Some prefer polishing to the max before releasing, some prefer fast-firing new things. To me, what matters the most is where the game will be in 1 year from now, and the end result can be achieved by any number of ways. Of course, providing feedback on this to the developer will often (on indie games) influence the way the game is made, so it's a good idea to bring that up on the games' channels too! Thanks for watching and for the comment!

the problem with warp most likely due to system configuration, since I never had a problem with warp. Which is harder to fix since it entirely depends on feedback from users with the same setup.

Hey there! Unfortunately I forgot a note to clarify that was DevBuild footage. The release version added the crew member requirement, so I imagine 20million+ would be the price for Capitals. Sorry!
Hi! That footage was from the devbuild - I forgot to mention it in the video :(. On devbuild there was no crew restrictions, so you could buy the Capital right at the start of the game. The price would be cheap due to low level/tier of the ship. With the crew requirement, I would think player will be at around level 20+ when they get 3 crew, so the ship will be more expensive by then. There's a clear issue/bug with ship prices atm, so I wouldn't be surprised if they get heavily revised in the future. Thanks for watching :)
for a capital its to small. I would mean its look more as a destroyer in another games. capital ships for me is big and need a lot more as 3 people to fly it with multiple turrent slots thats like a flying fortress
I for one really, *really* hate the blue circle below the ship when in free-aim mode. Just... why? Why add that circle? Doesn't do anything from what I can tell.
Its much more of a flight sim than X4. Though you do have allied ships in major battles, you script their actions beforehand and can't control them during the battle. Except for 1 squad of personal fighters as bodyguard. Those you can control anytime.
Hello there. All different types of warp shouldn't be much different from each other. I have a "Warp Travel" tutorial in the channel, but not sure if that would help. It would be good to report the bug with F10 in-game, or on Steam forums, or on the game's Discord. Thanks for watching - hope you can warp! :)
I love SC and ive had a small play with this game, while i do love SC features and depth.
