Nothing major so far. Lightroom and FCP work great. There a little glitches connected to widgets and wallpapers I’ve noticed. Another user reported some syncing issues with OneDrive, which I can’t report about.

Apple is so annoying releasing these useless OS versions every second. I’m a music dude and Apple garbage os updates keep requiring music equipment manufacturers to keep up and sometimes it becomes obsolete. Some of the useless updates Apple did on my iPhone crashed my phone and some of my photos and videos got erased forever!! APPLE, STOP IT!!! 😡… or I will switch back to windows and tell my music buddies too.
I absolutely LOVE that "Click wallpaper to reveal desktop". That and the desktop widgets are the best 2 features. Now the desktop is my productivity starting point with shortcuts, notes folders view for quick access to my important and recent notes etc.
@@ThisIsE when you minimise or click to desktop, you can see the apps swooshing away to the sides of the desktop, and it is very visible overlapping my desktop side panels, can it be less visible?

It appears that you can no longer assign apps to particular desktops on Sonoma i.e. Control click on app in Dock does not bring up the options to assign to all desktops, etc. Did that function get moved in Sonoma?

@@ThisIsE After about 3 weeks, so far, so good. However, I have pushed the 8GB of RAM to the limit and would recommend anyone beyond a casual user to pay for the step up to 16GB of RAM. Other than that, it has been great, and I can easily recommend it to anyone. Because others trust my recommendations, I purposefully got the base model so that I would know how well it performed under my daily rigger, and I'm a geek who pushes the limits :-) Accordingly, if it has worked this well for me, the average user should never break a sweat. There´s a toggle for it if you don't switch off "Click wallpaper to reveal desktop". You can hide both items and widgets on the desktop, and then click it to reveal it.
That's either a bug or very pure UI choice - language change is now almost hidden. Previously it showed a large squared window in the middle of the screen, just like with voulme or brightness, but now it's either hidden or ppear next to the text that's being written. Any idea how to fix that?

I hope this channel starts doing some videos about iOS gaming! Some amazing aaa console games coming now which is going to open the floodgates for quality gaming on an iPad/iphone. There really are such few channels that include iOS gaming which is deep, so many games for everyone.

Also it’s a very exciting time right now as in the next 4 months we have resident evil village, death stranding, Little nightmares and resident evil 4 all coming to iPhone and iPad which has never happened before on this scope. Gaming analysts are already betting on apple finally going serious on the gaming front as the market is already huge but very few people cover it which is a shame since in reality it’s one of the few entertainment mediums that’s actually used by absolutely everybody, young, old, wives, grandparents etc as there’s something for everybody.
I hope to see in the new operating system a customized touch keyboard where I can type from two languages at the same time without the need to switch between the two languages all the time. this will be good for math scripts and dual language scripts..
So I feel this update is mainly just wallpapers and apple iPhone and mac integration. I use a Samsung phone so not a great update for me in terms of features.
I'm just glad Sonoma didn't break anything. A bunch of apps like BBedit and Bartender (both are great!) had updates to fix issues with Sonoma but everything was very smooth.

Probably wipe your entire system and reinstall everything. It’s notoriously difficult to get rid of these programs. Get Daisy Disk and Onyx instead.

You can use the battery widget to keep track of the charge on all of your iCloud devices.

You can use hot corners to set a corner to push all the apps to the corners which reveals the items when hidden.

Gaming is shocking on the mac in terms of availability. The spec however is more than capable of handling them. Please give us COD Warzone!
