A large part of her apology was about feeling sorry towards the support group and the affected survivor and then generally towards the police and others. The tone of her apology shows that her interest and commitment is mostly in advocacy work than that of an elected MP.

Before you think about being a leader in Singapore, know that it is not an easy job and not everyone can do it. They sacrifice a lot and also go through a lot as a leader. Worker's party should pick this up from the PAP. If they can be like the PAP but offer an alternative view that make sense, more people will vote for them. They also make sacrifices and go through challenges to represent their supporters but I hope they learn to be careful and responsible about the things they say like the PAP. As a leader, you have to be careful with what you say. You cannot say whatever you feel like saying especially in parliament or on camera. This is why not everybody can do this job.

In this case the competition refers to the 2020 General elections and she clearly was and is not a qualified individual when she stirred controversy with her racial remarks years to prior her standing in the election. Before you think about being a leader in Singapore, know that it is not an easy job and not everyone can do it. They sacrifice a lot and also go through a lot as a leader. Worker's party should pick this up from the PAP. If they can be like the PAP but offer an alternative view that make sense, more people will vote for them. They also make sacrifices and go through challenges to represent their supporters but I hope they learn to be careful and responsible about the things they say like the PAP. As a leader, you have to be careful with what you say. You cannot say whatever you feel like saying especially in parliament or on camera. This is why not everybody can do this job.

I believe we have better candidates to be a MP. Lying in Parliament is unacceptable. Singaporeans look upon Parliament with great dignity, respect and faith. What she did could have caused wide spread distrust in the police and caused job losses. She's in a position of power and yet she misuses it to further her own distorted narrative. As a MP, she has the appriopriate "air-time" and opportunities to highlight this issue in parliament without lying about herself accompanying along for the police report. My guess on her motive for doing so: she wants to glorify herself and score some political brownie points. Sadly, she has failed badly in her plans. For now, it is inevitable that citizens may wonder if her story on the sexual assault case itself is truthful or not.

In this case the competition refers to the 2020 General elections and she clearly was and is not a qualified individual when she stirred controversy with her racial remarks years to prior her standing in the election. SG politics is especially one of high standards and when she treaded recklessly on racial issues, it should have been a big red flag that she was not as sensitive to delicate issues such as race or women empowerment as she had originally portrayed herself to be. The only reason I dare say WP won SK GRC was because of Pritam Singh's and Sylvia lim's leadership banner. The only thing they can and should do is to release her from the party. She lets emotions get in the way of objectivity.
