      @Mat Salvatore I don't get how Rivera or any of the other one inning wonders are held in such high regard. Relief pitchers today have it easy compared to Fingers or Sutter or any of the guys who came in the game in the 6th or 7th inning and threw 40 or 50 pitches to close games.

    • @Cincinnatus1869
      @Cincinnatus1869 3 года назад

      @Mat Salvatore I don't take anything away from him, he did his job and did it better than anyone, but the job of a relief pitcher is definitely an entirely different gig than it was in past decades. It always seemed to me that a closer today would just be starting to get stretched out and warm when the game ended ! It seems like it would be frustrating to throw only one inning at a time. It takes a different mindset to do it, that is for sure

    How can you have prejudice/racism in your heart against a child? How sour does your soul have to be to do that? I know things aren't perfect today, but me, I'm proud of how far people/humanity has come in the last 20 years. On the INDIVIDUAL level things are MUCH much better.
    There has been a SHIFT in "conscious identifying." Meaning, people are largely defined by WHAT THEY DO (their actions) as opposed to some surface category they fit into.
