    Hi, your videos are really wonderful and relaxing and has a meditating effect while knitting the piece. One small request would be to mention the number of stitches at the end of each row just to make sure that we are doing the right number of increases and decreases. Thanks again.

    Great sweater, my first ever knit from the top pattern and I have done 3 so far. Wonderful explanation and demonstration, thank you so much! I have adjusted the pattern a little bit by using a crochet cast-on instead of a long tail cast on. I found a good you tube video for this, which makes the cast on row a bit more stretchy and nicer I think. Also, instead of casting on 42 stitches, I added two more and cast on 44 (place the first marker after the 4th stitch, and the last one 4 stitches from the end), Then for the buttonhole row number 11, knit 2 together, yarn over, then knit stitches 3 and 4. It makes for a nicer button hole, and then you don't have to do any cast on stitch on the next row number 12 (purl row).

    Thank you for these videos. I’m a crocheter and struggled with knitting but I’ve taught myself to knit continental style which I find much easier. By following your instructions and rewatching several bits many times, I have made a cardigan. It's not brilliant and not fit to give anyone but I’ve learnt the technique and am confident to try another one. I worked the second sleeve in a different colour so I could see how the stitches work when you're picking them up which helped me understand the structure. Your technique and voice over is very easy to follow, you've helped me a great deal, thank you.

    Great videos! Thank you for sharing your time and energy. Quick question, what stitch are you picking up before knitting in the round on the sleeves? I don't see it on the written pattern, but I see you picking up two on the video. Thank you!

    • @sowoolly
      @sowoolly  5 лет назад

      Thank you! When you pick up the stitches for knitting the sleeves, you'll see a hole just where the underarm starts. There are 2 ways of solving this: either, you pick up the stitches from the scratch yarn, knit the sleeve, and then close the hole using your darning needle to sew it...or you pick up a couple stitches from each side of the sleeve, as I did this time, to avoid the hole. Later, knitting the sleeve, those stitches will be decreased. Cheers!

    I don't understand how the armpit side of the sleeve is shorter then the shoulder side but you didn't change anything. You just kept knitting the same rows. I also don't understand how you just knit the sleeve, you don't do any purl rows but the pattern is the same on the sleeve as the rest of the sweater.
