Just FYI, someone figured out that the slow down is not caused by the number of enemies or amount of action on screen, but is instead caused by the loading of new areas of the levels as you play through them.
Yeah that also makes sense, figured it could be that too, with that issue I think it’s a safer to put something in the corner that shows it’s loading but there’s no way that there should be level loading mid combat!
First off new channel name! Welcome to SwitchCorner! What do we all think of the switch from 3rd person to isometric? Will you be picking it up? And did anyone get the crazy collectors edition?
1 - For the name, which corner it is ? 2 - Like the isometric view game, but last fond memories of this type of gameplay is both Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance games which Diablo III did not surpassed. 3 - Just picked DS Genesis, I liked the first game, but did not went crazy and passionate about it. Genesis is ok. I'm having fun, but I'm not flabbergasted. The minute I have to grind to much an have to redo chapters, I'm leaving the room as I'm coming out of Salt and Sanctuary, Metro 2033 Redux and Chasm. I don't want brain freeze for the next game or two. 4 - No collector edition for me. I rather, buy 3 games or more off my wishlist and a collector edition of any game.
@@SwitchCorner being a huge fan of games like Diablo 1 2 and 3 and torch light sometimes you don't need something super-deep to be very entertained and being that I am a vision-impaired the gamer games like this are very appealing
A lot better than Diablo actually. When I was playing Diablo 3, I found myself sorely missing the puzzles that Genesis offers. I can't tell you how beneficial it is to break up the monotonous combat with a brain teaser here and there. Genesis levels also have more verticality than Diablo levels. So much so that the horsemen actually have jumping and gliding abilities.
This is my Diablo substitute until Diablo 3 goes on sale again. I had a $10 coupon at my local game shop so I was able to pick this up for $5 I have all of the dark siders games on Switch except for number 3, but you can be sure I’ll buy that as soon as I can. My friend got me into this series, and I love it. The story is so cool.

D3 is a big disappointment and still continues to disappoint with it's washed up season system. Btw i would have never brought genesis for the switch. Xbox,PS4 and PC are a much better experience. I only ever buy 1st party titles on nintendo switch for obvious reasons.
Game is trash on the switch. Clunky controls, the map is basically useless because it doesn't show your location, dialogue is lame, and the local co op is frustrating as you can't just drop in or out but need to find a stone throughout each level. Diablo 3 is vastly superior
I think there’s no question that Diablo 3 is better and would be my first choice. I really did enjoy the story with this one, the cheesy jokes and stuff worked for me! Hopefully they patch a few of your issues tho!
How is the map useless just because of that? Just pay attention to your location and you'll know where you're at. Would it be better if it pinpointed where you're at? sure, but it's not like it's "basically useless." Secondly, it's not trash lol. You act as if the dialogue in Diablo is decent or even good. The dialogue has always been super cringy. And Co-op in DS:G isn't frustrating. The stones are clearly marked on your map. Other games have steps to co-op also. For example, Bloodborne and Dark Souls. It's not a big deal. Diablo isn't "vastly" superior. It's only really superior if you don't care at all about combat. This game actually makes you pay attention to movement, evasion, parries, combos, etc. Diablo just gives you abilities and cooldowns to them. Your character moves around like it's on skates and even when you get hit, there's no impact to it. It's almost like watching Age of Empires. Just two character hitting each other till one loses it's lifebar. Considering Diablo's budget, it should be muuuuuuch better than it is. This is coming from a fan of the series. I've recently noticed that other games have done the Diablo thing and pushed the genre forward in better and more impactful way s than Blizzard. For example Torchlight, Children of Morta, and now Darksiders Genesis.
Children of morta...absolute masterpiece. What a great game. I’m guilty of it myself, the diablo comparison but they are very different. Couldn’t agree more regarding the combat statement, the weight difference is huge. The map things a funny one to me, a lot of comments around yet I didn’t personally notice an issue hence I didn’t bring it up, I just accepted it as it is and worked with it....same thing with co-op it didn’t really catch me off guard.
I just bought this on sale for under 13$ on ps store and love it as a huge fan of darksiders 1 and 2 complete editions on ps4 and they put a blue sonar sphere as the market on your map.
Yeah a lot of people have pointed out the map, it didn’t really bother me tbh but hopefully they will get to it with a patch! Thanks for checking out the video!

Does the physical cartridge require a download? I don’t about others but I often have a hard time finding this out. And for me this is important when it comes to a physical copy.
I prefer it over Diablo. Diablo feels like an empty experience where you're just looking for better loot. Darksiders actually has fun combat. There's a sense of weight to the characters while Diablo's feel super floaty. Even the impact of your hits are there while almost entirely absent in Diablo. If Darksiders got the Diablo budget, it'd blow it out of the water. But unfortunately, it had to be a budget title, so there's concessions that come with that. I like both games, but after playing games like Children of Morta and Darksider Genesis, it looks like the only reason Diablo is popular is because it's Diablo and people get hooked to just leveling up instead of combat.
I like both too. Children of morta was a masterpiece! I agree on the combat front and weight of it though but like you I enjoy both for different reasons, Darksiders to me was never about loot really! I’m just finishing up a review for a video tomorrow! It’s called Katana Kami and it might just be your type of thing I think!
I really regret buying this. I was so looking forward to it that when I couldnt buy it at 7am launch day I drove to Walmart for a physical copy. 195 games and only 3 physical ones and to be so let down is frustrating. It's not that's bland color pallet is off putting. It's the characters, enemies and item pickups are so damn small and nearly impossible to see. It ruined what could've been a great game. I have all the Darksiders games across several systems. I haven't finished them all, but have played them all. Not a bad one in the lot. This the only unplayable one though.

On tv the camera don’t really cause a problem it’s more when you go handheld I found but nothing you can’t get use to!
