Darksiders Genesis Gameplay
The relationship between War and Strife was the best part of this game, followed closely by Samael and the amount of agency he acrually has in the story for once
When a game pulls off bromance well, it's always a treat. And Darksiders: Genesis has an amazing Bromance between Strife and War! One that evolves as the story goes on, and not only provides Strife with a personality, but both of them also receive a pretty good character arc, with War getting some additional depth that flows into his Darksiders 1 characterization really well!
I literally bought all 3 games even though I’ve played them years before to play through this series again. Thanks Myth.

Strife's horse is called Mayhem and has a 3D detailed model somewhere in the internet. He's basically wearing a sick full plate.
Anyway, the OST for this game is insanely good.

Understandable when you think war is like the bulky tank and smacks the chest.. the big hand he has is a prosthetic since the horseman had to cut it off to get him out of a rage strife shoots the lock so it opens death uses his reaper abilities alot more than the other 2 from what we seen and fury i honestly can't remember what she did

the soundtrack in darksiders genesis is by far the best in the darksiders franchise. can't wait for you to get to astartes.
I really liked the overhead view of the other games because of how sick the character designs were, but strife seems pretty chill
If we ever get another Darksiders game in the main series, Strife for sure will be the main character, maybe with the other 3 too. From everything in story so far (except for Genesis, I'm seeing this now for the first time) and if I got the timeline right, everything points to the fact that he was the first to understand that the Council bamboozled them in and his brothers and decided to stand with humanity and plot against the Council, slowly showing what's going on to his brothers.
I really like strife's character as being like the jokester.

Just wanna say if you ever have the urge to play a souls game before Elden ring comes out, there is a new mod for dark souls 3 that is considered the best there is (even beter than cinderd (much beter imo).
Its called the convergence mod and it adds a ton of new bosses (not reskins but new bosses with actual new movesets), a crapload of spells and a large variety of weapon arts. Do consider it a try, i am certain you will love it!!!
Loved the video Myth! I also like the thought that technically Vulgrim is the only thing happy to see our horsemen ever bc we keep the deals and he gets to feast anytime he helps us.
Vilgrim surviving though every game and not becoming a target was quite the surprise for me
Strife gives me heavy borderlands/destiny vibes and I kinda love that in this universe

Quick info: This game takes place before Darksiders 1,2 and 3. It occurs after the war on Eden. This story is an initial prologue and the stories ending suggests why Strife may have been with the humans in Darksiders 3. I'll explain much more near the ending, to not reveal much.
I get so sad whenever the video ends because it's one of the parts of my days that makes it enjoyable

they got a cool story that plays across 3 games that play differently in comparison. maybe 4th will play like gears of war kinda with cover options or something new that changes how we see shooters
can you imagine if in the last darksiders game vulgrim is actually the big bad final boss that was lurking in the shadows

Once youve found a map you can see each areas collectibles, so when you need stuff you can easily go back and get them.
This is the only Darksiders game I've yet to play, might have to get it myself finally! Still gonna watch your playthrough of course! Now we have to really start praying for a true Darksiders 4!

Creature cores are basically equipment that you need to slot to get benefits, depending on type and level.
You haven't actually equipped any cores yet, at least not as far as I've seen in the video.

Here’s my weird prediction, Darksiders 4 will be Strife’s game and story, and only his. Then there will be a 5th game where we play as all four horsemen
I'm hoping for a technical prequel that explains how come he was undercover and how his guns ended up where they were in the previous games then 5 and 6 should be the conclusion don't want them to rush the story like ds3 felt

Music is done by Gareth Coker. Same guy who did the ori games and also helped with halo infinite :) If you have the chance listen to the main menu theme for a bit. Pretty damn epic.
I think this game is suppose to "Stryfe game" so that the "darksiders 4" game would the one that the 4 are in the same game.
Also the you have to equip the soul you buy or loot of the enemy, just saying because i don’t if you did it off screen. Anyway you’re very entertaining, keep it up

Sadly, I think the studio that made this franchise didn't allow a 4th installment of the game to be made like they planned. Instead, they allowed them make this game, because it's cheaper. I think this game is the fourth installment of the franchise and there is no other game coming... :(
If I'm correct this was outsourced to a different company that why style is different and its a prequel to story this game happens i think around 100-1000 years after the betrayal when the horseman still needed to prove themselves
A 4th is still coming. The studio was adamant in explaining this is just a small spin off game and that Strife will have his own in the future
