    Thanks for the video fellas. I knew it was going to be a little bit of a job but not quite this much. Ha ha!! Good times right? 😀All in a quick days work I suppose. Someone prior to me replaced the keyless entry handle with a standard handle. Now my wife insists on having the keyless handle back on instead.

      @LanceLotSpot I knocked it out the same day I made the comment. I wanna say it took about an hour or so to get it done. The hardest part, just like you said in the video was lining up the door handle. The old one was already completely broken and fell out upon me just pulling on it lol.

    This is an excellent video for anyone who has electric components on their door handles. If you do not have electric components, then you do not need to remove the inside panel. You just need to do the steps seen at 7:11-8:45. This will allow you to move the lock around and get the new handle in there. Then just screw it all back in and you're done. It takes 5 minutes at best! There are videos that show these steps in better detail. Happy Repairing!

    This video is very informative. It's very easy to follow and understand. I followed along and had my car door handle fixed in no time. It does take a little bit to fit the handle/lock together and definitely needs 2 people to reinstall the inside panel to the window arms, but definitely doable! 10/10

    You could avoid all that work by just unscrewing the screw at the back of door handle and take out the button and just change handle itself but if you want to change both the handle and button then you could do what he’s showing you but that’s what I did on mine today and it was much easier and faster.

      @jordanetheeone YOU are a REAL Man of GENIUS!! Seriously! It took me 4 times reading your comment to finally understand what you are saying. So I was thinking yeah I could get the old door handle out but I couldn't get to the electrical socket to undo. I am going to have to take the door panels off. Then "click", your words came to mind, leave the existing electrical line/button connected. Unscrew the back of the new and old handles and put the old electrical line into the new door handle. My handle was the issue not the keyless entry button. Job completed! Major thanks!

    • @BoozhiOfficial

      Thanks for the video guys! And thanks for this comment! There is a trick to this bolt in the side of the door (9:00 in the vid).
      It can not come out after you've loosened it so no issue with it falling in the door, but it does have to be pulled out to it's furthest extent for the rear fascia piece of the door handle to come out. I used a little super glue on the end of the bit.
      I spent a good 10 minutes trying to get it out because I didn't want to lose the bolt in the door, but once it is loose/pulled out enough, that piece of the door handle should come out very easily.
      Then, pop in the main piece of the handle and slide it forward to catch on the latch, add the small peice, then screw it in and you're done!

      thanks for the tip. i literaly have the new handle sitting next to me after it arrived today and was dreading the whole having to loosen the window regulator and hold or clamp the glass. seeing it’s one screw to separate the new handle body from
      button assembly that seems like the way to go

    @Austin Middleton, I'm sorry I saw your message but for some reason I can't reply to it directly. If the handle button doesn't work, try the other door handle buttons to see if they work. If not then you might have to try resetting the battery but if they do then make sure you connected the harness for that door handle and it's tightly connected and everything is put in place as it should look. Should fix it

    • @leeaffel9570
      @leeaffel9570 2 года назад +3

      @@LanceLotSpot Sure. With the old handle hanging off, take some locking pliers and attach to the exposed wire so it doesn't fall back into the hole. Remove the screw from the back of the handle and remove the cover exposing the wires, the back of the button and a small box. Carefully pull out the button and the box ( which is only secured with tape or a sticky pad.) Remove the same items from the new handle. Take the new handle and attach the old button and small box and replace the cover. Then you have to loosen the screw inside the door (which you guys did a great job explaining) which will loosen the lock part and provide room to install the new handle. Reinsert the lock and tighten the screw. As good as new unless you really care about having a new button which I didn't.

    these handles that Nissan puts on have a structural defect in the quality- this happens to a lot of different Nissan- it should actually be on the oem as a known replacement under warranty - TSB for a recall - - everyone that replaces these handles should file complaints against Nissan on this - BOA- bureau of automotive repair

    • @LanceLotSpot
      @LanceLotSpot  3 года назад +1

      Hi bro. Don't hit it in if it's stuck so you don't damage the part. Take it out unscrew the inner piece that the door handle goes in and try again. It's been a while since I did this with my buddy but basically the inner piece has to be loose while you put or push the door handle in it. It's a lot of wiggling and pushing but don't hit it. Once it's fitted in the inner piece then you can screw it. Hope this helps and if I get any other info I will share it with you

  • @jimwhite8351
