  • As I've taken time to think over that first look at Kingdom Hearts 4, I haven't lost my excitement, but it does have me hoping its ambition won't exceed its grasp. I enjoyed Kingdom Hearts 3; however, my hope is that this new entry will try to capture some of the spirit, mystery and wonder the first Kingdom Hearts game provided so well. Perhaps, being more focused, is exactly what would work best for Kingdom Hearts 4.

What if Cloud and Sephiroth are also in Quadratum... and Sephiroth returns as a secret boss again for Kingdom Hearts IV...

Them bringing on Neo The World Ends With You's writer to write KH4 has me excited. The big problem with the past few KH games has been the character work, they just don't feel like people, and Akiko Ishibashi is really great at writing people. We'll see if that manifests.

I %100 agree with you on this! The only two games in the entire series that truly had the original essence of KH to me was KH1 and KH2. KH2 was a great example of keeping the essence of the original but still having a whole new story. Birth by sleep was great too but in its own gaming right. I’m hoping since KH4 is a start to a whole new saga that it starts over and learns from the disasters of KH3s story telling. I have faith though and feel like we are going to be kind blown :)

KH3 development along with versus XIII is part of why it feels so weird and then implementing new graphics and mechanics didn’t help

I would totally love to see the scope of the plot be more focused, a big issue I had with KH3 is how scatterbrained it felt at times.
Also what music did you use for the backing track for the video? I know I have heard it before but I can’t put my finger on it and it’s driving me insane.
