@@JzLyfe The welded captive nuts do the same job, allows you to bolt on the bars. I've just seen rivnuts that weren't seated properly, wobble, or spin after a while. Welded nuts won't do that.
I'm sure with little modification it will, not sure if you get the headlight supports if those would bolt right in or not but I'm sure you can make something work.
I’m surprised he doesn’t just show him how to MiG it. If he gives him the right settings MiG literally takes 10 minutes to teach someone how to MiG shit lol 2 minutes for someone who already TiG welds haha
@@moreskids yea just have him set the wire speed and volts and have him give you a 2 min tutorial on how he likes to run the puddle and you’ll do fine trust me. It’s literally spay n shoot haha Figuring out which settings to use is where MiG is a pain in the ass. Cause it’s either right or it’s not. No in between like TiG since you have the pedal to adjust the heat input.
@04:23, i would have marked the location of each rivnut and just drilled a hole in your original plate to allow those to fall into. that would have left your original plating there for added rigidity to the strut towers....... having to remove plate you guys added left strut tower weak sauce... but all good. nothing in this world is perfect.

I'm sure you can weld them on but most formula drift cars have removable bars in case they need to get them replaced due to being damaged.
