A step by step on how you did this woulda been dope
It would be nice to see a slower more detailed steering wheel install. Like a play by play.. I've never done it before. I've got a 2012 taco

I notice you didnt' mention about the airbag light. Did you do a bypass resistor? NRG sells the airbag bypass resistor. I am going to swap my steering wheel on my FJC soon. Thanks for sharing.
I used a 3.3Ohm 1w resistor
I missed where you put the steering wheel remover on.
4mm allens behind the interior colored plugs on the side of the steering wheel to release the bag..

I got the same nrg hub adapter and a nrg steering. It would be pretty cool if you were able to tell me what you exactly did cuz I don't really want to fuck up anything.

And if you don't want a quick release do you just buy the short hub?? Cause its pricey with the quick release
The short hub should work as its specific to the Tacoma. But I'd contact nrg to make sure 100%.
Sad part is if you get in an accident & get injured the insurance company has a better chance of not paying out a cent because you removed airbag. A friends son removed his in a low Honda & was hit head on by a lifted F350. Suffered big time, the insurance co. didn’t fork out a dime because he removed the airbag. They said he wouldn’t have been injured if the airbag would have been installed‼️

Nice. I subscribed because you got that jdm feel with your Tacoma. Please dont lift it on super swampers, lol. My truck is gutted, I tossed the passenger bag. I have the airbag light on. Im going to change the steering wheel too in the future then remove the bulb behing the cluster. The wheel looks good. Much Sportier than stock. Lol.👍

You can add a 2 ohm resistor and get the airbag light to go off

Yeah I wired in a 3.3 ohm resistor into the clock spring wiring.

How did you get the yellow wire out of the clock spring it looked like you struggled with it for a minute and I’m struggling with mine right now

Can I get any steering wheel for the nrg quick release like a cheap ass ebay steering wheel
As long as the bolt pattern is the same it will work. But I wouldnt recommend cheaping out on a steering wheel. That's quit a safety hazard.
Question! it is legal in eua cars without airbags?
can a short nrg quick release be added to this? or do i just buy the nrg quick release? i’m reading that you need a hub to install a quick release to

Cruise control had already been removed before this install.

They're just Acura Integra GSR seats. I'll try to do a walk around video of the truck soon and I'll make sure to show them.
I read one of those car customizing shows on TV got a 15000$ fine for removing the air bag

Yup just gotta wire in a resistor.
Is it safe to assume that with the same short hub and adapter that a different model momo would work as long as it’s 350mm?
It wouldn't really matter what size the wheel is, just the bolt pattern of the wheel. All 6 bolt momo (and other brands using the standard 6 bolt pattern) wheels should work no problem.
