Don't know if you'll even see this question all these years later, BUT...how did you connect the hose to your new tank after having cut off that threaded connection? Did you just stick the tube in to the bottom of that fuel tank and tape it in place or was there a specific piece you purchased and installed to hook the whole system up for that??? Thanks for this content. VERY useful.
Hi Carole, yes I basically just cut the hose and ran it to the bottom of the tank and sealed the opening. That being said, I plan to replace the hose with a pipe and fitting, just not sure how best to do it!
I have 2 of those transfer tanks one for gas and one for diesel. Attaching the pumps to the tank will make life easier. And with these tanks I’m able to go to the gas station and get as much as I want without meeting delivery minimums. The transfer tanks are all you need but I actually store everything in gravity farm tanks just because I have them. I only use taxed diesel right now because I share it with my truck but the extra tax isn’t that much with my usage.
@@chescottfarm5356 no worries not sure about the regulations over there, in Aus lots of excavating contractors just keep poly tanks in the back of there utes, awesome vid though 👍
Super nice set up! I’m on that border of having something like this worth the cost in terms of fuel consumption. I like that you made it mobile too. Does your local fuel company come fill it on site or do you take it in and fill it from the pump at the station?

Thanks! Good Info.
What attachment did you use to connect the fuel hose to the transfer tank?
Same question. Thanks
New follower here. I need a fuel transfer tank. Good job.
Nice video, i also have a 53 acre farm and a mx5100 that i love! did you consider just buying a poly fuel tank with a pump built into it?
Harry I looked at a bunch of options but decided to go this path for reliability and for a DOT approved transport tank.
