Wow!! What a difference is to enjoy watching an old good movie : excellent actors, an interesting plot, nice dialogues and good photographies. There were no computer technology, no graphic sex, no bad words, no cell phones, no complicated special effects, no remakes and yet we still enjoy these old ones. Just pure talents.
Thank you so much for this movie in a cloudy Sunday afternoon!

This is quite a wonderful who-dun-it. Acting is first rate from the wonderful Van Johnson as a blind man around whom the narrative revolves. He is ably supported by the lovely Vera Miles. This is a not-to-be-missed masterpiece from 20th Century Fox, circa mid-50's. I saw the film as a child and got the same thrill when I watched again a few months ago. Van was the master of all genres. Put him in a musical, comedy, drama or any other genre for that matter, and he delivered, never disappointing the audience.

Also a great possibility to improve the English language. And it's nice to know, that more people like it too. Greetings from Germany! 👋🙂

I think, however, that Van Johnson is a great asset to the film because of his convincing way of portraying the blind playwright, where sounds play a vital role in his perception of the world.

neither van johnson nor vera miles are favorites of mine - but they have surprisingly good chemistry here - and i've never seen vera miles lovelier - and London is lovely too

Excellent Movie! 🥳🎫🍿 I love classics from the 40s & 50s .... And this one does not disappoint! 😄 The story was fun & interesting....The acting and camaraderie between Van, Vera, & Cecil was warm & inviting :) And the LOVELY London views.... Very fun & soothing to watch! This is one of my Go-To "Background Movies" which I play in the background while I do housework or whatever.... The music & dialogue are very calming & soothing :) I watch this frequently as well as "Heidi" from 1968 for this "chill" effect in the house :) Thank you for sharing :) Lovely! Sweet & fulfilling ending between the two lovebirds, as well :) Rachel in Nashville :) 👩‍🎨😺☕☕🍿🎫🎫
