- A GREAT version of the Derek & Dominos number at the Royal Albert Hall, London on Tuesday 21st May 2013. Filmed in HD from Row 1 H Stalls, with uninterupted view and great sound.
Derek and the Dominos live version at Filmore east and Electric Factory in the seventies blows this one away... Back then Clapton was at the top of his game and Jim Gordon was a monster who was one of the handful of drummers along with Mr Ginger Baker who could keep up with Genius Clapton's fiery solos without missing a beat

The main difference betwen the "Derek And The Dominos" live versions is that the guitar has more distortion and yes...J. Gordon was awesome in all of those versions.

I saw him in September 2023 in Denver, and while he didn't do this song, that screaming note effect you referenced appeared several times during that show. I've been playing guitar for nearly 35 years and don't know how he does it. It's kind of one of those signature things no one else can get quite right.
