@@markiwi1507 no, Serbia won a separate prize voted on by the commentators for the best artistic performance - how the performance itself rates as a piece of artistry, rather than the song, and not a public vote. Serbia gave us something that was more like a performance art piece than a traditional Eurovision performance, so a clear winner in my eyes for this category. If you click on the bit for more information just below the video it explains what these awards are and who votes for each one. This was Sat afternoon, well before the grand final in the evening. Every performance, interval act, the results sequences, the winner announcement, final winner’s performance and the full live stream footage are all available as separate videos on this RUclips channel (the main Eurovision one) if there’s anything you missed.
If the juries voted like this, Eurovision would be so much better... But they prefer boring balads without message like the one from Azerbaijan or the cliche from Switzerland.
Basically before the show they award some prizes to the top 2, top 4 and top 5 songs in the final classification... This is some good perception of quality and what real artists can deliver on stage.

@@Garfieldfreakje Its basically inspired by Marina Abramović performance art “artist must be beautiful”.. it would take a lot to explain but the symbolism with washing hand represents the oppsesion with staying healthy, or could be understood differently such as her dressed in white nurse cloths representing healthcare workers washing their hands of someone which in Serbian means being not sympathetic(not sure if this is the right word in English) or being heartless towards someone that needs your help or ignoring someone that needs help. After all the message of the song is how little attention is given to mental health in theese times when physical health is represented as the only important thing and her washing hands gives a strong symbolism to pandemic where washing hands was all you were supposed to do and it became an oppsesion in a way that our mental health suffered because it wasnt given enough attention. There are much more elements within the performance that make it a true art perfomance which was appreciated obviously 😁

UK and SWE = best overall entries! Glad they got some well-deserved awards here! When the contest was side-tracked in support of Ukraine.
