I'm Spanish, and I'd say in 30 years rather because our last top 3 result was in 1995... and it's our points record as well. Our previous points record at Eurovision was an abysmal 125 points in 1973. And we have managed to get lots of points from countries that barely ever vote for us like Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Sweden, Iceland, North Macedonia... so I'm quite satisfied with this result, even if from now on we get below 20th placements for 6 years in a row.
This ends the myth that no one likes the UK. They won the jury, getting points from countries who never vote for them like Azerbaijan, Czech Republic and Ukraine. On top of that they did very well with the televote gaining 183 points. It just shows that if you have a good song, singer and staging can take you far.
Serbia's Konstrakta finishing 5th in total votes and United Kingdom's Sam Ryder finishing 2nd overall were the highlights of the night for me! 🥰🇬🇷❤🇷🇸👏🏻👑🧼/🇬🇧❤🚀🧑🚀✨

Was pleasantly surprised by Moldova. I liked their entry but did not think that the rest of Europe would think the same. + They got more points in the televoting than countries that were considered favorites

As a Serbian, I thank everyone who voted for us and supported us. I'm not a hardcore fan of the song myself tbh, but she and her crew killed it and made us proud. So heartwarming to see this amount of love and support from everyone.
Last year was their year,now was turn for Spain and UK to get recognition..It's fair and could motivate big 5 to give us great entries in future.Perhaps next year Germany gives us something fabulous

You can see the hosts were so happy when Serbia finally got the point they deserved from the public which made them go to #1.. I literally jumped off my seat when they climbed to #1, I love the song and performance and Im glad they still made it to top 5 despite the few jury votes..
Honestly I have mixed feelings with In Corpore Sano, the song is really catchy and Konstrakta is a really good performer, but I don't see that many outstanding things, no vocals...
Monika was my favourite this year, her voice is simply astonishing and her presence on the stage veey elegant, it feel like kf she had performed in the 60s she would have won. Lots of love from spain ❤️
Im Romanian, and unfortunately Romania's song was not my favorite. I did absolutely love the performances of Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, Moldova, Serbia, Sweden and of course the big winners, UKRAINE! I guess Maneskin raised the bar and proved that you don't have to be naked and sing about booties to win. First Eurovision I enjoyed in a looong time.

I really enjoyed the Frances concept and song this year. It was very similar to Ukrainian song (style like) so I'm quite surprised by their bad result.....
It was in my top 5, sadly I think it wasn't exactly the kind of song to vote for, and I didn't really like their performance in the final. In any case, they did not deserve that position.
I was convinced from the beginning that Ukraine would smash the public vote, but I didn't expect it to be THAT much. maybe 200ish points would be enough, but Europe + Australia thought differently.

Favourites aside, can we just take a moment to appreciate the *many* winners we saw tonight: - Spain getting their best result in almost 30 years with an absolutely world-class performance; - The UK placing second, winning the juries and scoring very impressively with the televote also, after double 0s last year; - Italy, for putting on such an amazing performance as the host nation and scoring the highest among the (many amazing) ballads this year; - Serbia, for cracking the top 5 with such an artistic and avant-garde entry; - Germany, for getting points; - Whatever your favourite is, regardless of the result, for managing to move people from all around the world after all the blood, sweat and tears that went into tonight’s show; - Last but not least, Ukraine, with such a expressive performance that managed to capture the zeitgeist and showed the brave Ukrainians that Europe stands resoundingly with them. - Honourable mention: the conspiracy theorists in these RUclips comments, for proving that human stupidity knows no boundaries 🤗 Now if you excuse me, I’m going to be curled up in a ball for the next 10-12 months trying to overcome my post-Eurovision depression. Czech Republic had 102 televote points in semifinal, yet in the final they only got 5 points. This contest has a serious problem with the running order. We can't have an entry falling so hard just because the running order.

I think it will be in the UK since they're 2nd and Ukraine can't host. Sweden offered to host too but they hosted recently and UK don't host since 1998, it would be more fair.

I think I speak for everyone in Portugal, but thank you all so much. 9th place is extremely good for us. Just a couple years ago we were a country with one of the worst records ever and with Salvador and forwards it has been amazing. Everyone helps us get into great positions so once again thank you. There’s no real way to know how the vote would’ve gone if those votes and points had been distributed differently. It was always going to be Ukraine’s year, Putin saw to that, both the UK and Spain who’ve been in the doldrums for a long time bounced back and showed they both could still potentially win with a great song and artist. For the UK it ended the myth Europe hates us and won’t vote for us, because they did.

I'm Spanish and I'd like to say one thing. We might actually have a worse track record in the last 20-25 years than the UK (won in 1997 and got a top 5 result in 2009) and Germany (won in 2010 and got a top 5 result in 2018). Spain's last top 3 result was in 1995, barely two years before I was born, and I have been watching Eurovision since I was a little kid, so in all of these years, I had never watched Spain getting anywhere near the top 3 or the top 5. Hell, our points record was a measly 125 points gotten in 1973, and the time I remember us getting most points was 97 in 2012. So a part of me thought it was physically impossible for Spain to even get 100 or more points, let alone get into the top 5, let alone score a podium. And it happened. It freaking happened. I collapsed when I saw Spain getting more than 200 points from both the juries and televote. Thank you Europe, Australia and Israel, honestly. You gave me the will to live this contest even more from now on. I really like how the Italian hosts spent some kind words for every artist who got a poor result in the televote. I still remember last year with the dutch presenters screaming "let's move on, let's move on", that was a bit harsh. I think the latin audiences really expect a host to be kind and empathetic too. That's why I'm really annoyed by the savage and mean comments made by Graham Norton and many UK viewers towards the hosts. It's not that if something isn't done exactly the way you do it at home, it's worth dissing. For instance, I really found last year's presenters to be quite boring, but I didn't send out mean comments.
Which mean comments did Graham Norton make? Also how do you know what Graham said unless you were watching from the U.K.? I think sometimes it’s hard to tell what the tone of a comment is, especially when you can’t see the face or when it’s more sarcastic British humour, but it didn’t seem mean to me.
I think it’s because of the excessive effects in his performance, it actually took away from the song. It’s a shame because I liked the song, his voice and the production.
I voted for Australia. Sheldon outperformed everyone vocally, he clearly adores Eurovision, and he was dressed like a Dark Souls boss. That's all I needed personally.

For me the shocking televote moments: - how did Australia only get 2 points from televote? 😮 - and Azerbaijan 3 points? (What a voice and performance) - and Czech Republic 5 points? - I was praying for Germany not to get zero point, but sadly he stayed at last place either way - I felt like Switzerland will get zero - I didn’t expect that Moldova will get this high points - Surprised about France too, I think their song is mesmerising and deserved more Congrats to everyone! Australia was in the middle of a very strong and competitive running order: Greece -> Moldova -> Sweden -> Australia -> United Kingdom -> Poland -> Serbia, that's a tough line up to be performing in because of how strong the acts are. But yes, I do think 2 points in televote was undeserved. Czech Republic, I think the singer was suffering from laryngitis this evening, because I noticed her voice just wasn't coming out properly even though she was trying her hardest to make it happen, it was a shame because she nailed her performance in the jury show, but she might have been practicing a bit too much recently and her voice strained itself (unfortunately its one of those things singers have to try and battle with). I'm glad Germany didn't finish on 0 points, definitely more radio-friendly than eurovision (as a Brit, we've made that mistake many times before lol). France had a few problems in their jury show, hence why the jury score was on the lower side, but I think their performance in the televote show might have fallen foul to the running order, a bit like Australia. France were followed immediately by Norway, and everyone was going to be talking about Norway one way or another after seeing them perform. That being said, I really enjoyed France's performance. This was a really strong year actually, and right up till the Ukraine televote score announcement, it was hard to work out who a clear winner was because things were pretty close up until then.
Australian song wasn't catchy. I am also a bit surprised how good Moldova did but I knew they would got quite a few points from televoting. People in Eastern Europe always vote for folk music from their region. They like it.

If there was one clear act who could have contend with ukraine there might have been more speculation.. but when there was too many good ones to choose from, when you count the amount of people over Europe who would give a solidarity vote, they probably all saw it was impossible for there to be any other result 🤷♀️

I'm German and I think the song was just incredibly boring, especially since the German public really wanted another song to enter the ESC and there even was a petition with 130.000 signatures to send them instead of Harris. It's not a technically bad song, but just so forgettable, especially compared to the other acts.

- Serbia, for cracking the top 5 with such an artistic and avant-garde entry;
- Germany, for getting points;
- Whatever your favourite is, regardless of the result, for managing to move people from all around the world after all the blood, sweat and tears that went into tonight’s show;

There’s no real way to know how the vote would’ve gone if those votes and points had been distributed differently. It was always going to be Ukraine’s year, Putin saw to that, both the UK and Spain who’ve been in the doldrums for a long time bounced back and showed they both could still potentially win with a great song and artist. For the UK it ended the myth Europe hates us and won’t vote for us, because they did.

I'm Spanish and I'd like to say one thing.
We might actually have a worse track record in the last 20-25 years than the UK (won in 1997 and got a top 5 result in 2009) and Germany (won in 2010 and got a top 5 result in 2018). Spain's last top 3 result was in 1995, barely two years before I was born, and I have been watching Eurovision since I was a little kid, so in all of these years, I had never watched Spain getting anywhere near the top 3 or the top 5. Hell, our points record was a measly 125 points gotten in 1973, and the time I remember us getting most points was 97 in 2012. So a part of me thought it was physically impossible for Spain to even get 100 or more points, let alone get into the top 5, let alone score a podium.
And it happened. It freaking happened. I collapsed when I saw Spain getting more than 200 points from both the juries and televote.
Thank you Europe, Australia and Israel, honestly. You gave me the will to live this contest even more from now on. And congratulations to Ukraine and the United Kingdom as well.

I really like how the Italian hosts spent some kind words for every artist who got a poor result in the televote. I still remember last year with the dutch presenters screaming "let's move on, let's move on", that was a bit harsh. I think the latin audiences really expect a host to be kind and empathetic too. That's why I'm really annoyed by the savage and mean comments made by Graham Norton and many UK viewers towards the hosts. It's not that if something isn't done exactly the way you do it at home, it's worth dissing. For instance, I really found last year's presenters to be quite boring, but I didn't send out mean comments.

Which mean comments did Graham Norton make? Also how do you know what Graham said unless you were watching from the U.K.? I voted for Australia. Sheldon outperformed everyone vocally, he clearly adores Eurovision, and he was dressed like a Dark Souls boss. That's all I needed personally.

Australia was in the middle of a very strong and competitive running order: Greece -> Moldova -> Sweden -> Australia -> United Kingdom -> Poland -> Serbia, that's a tough line up to be performing in because of how strong the acts are. But yes, I do think 2 points in televote was undeserved.
Czech Republic, I think the singer was suffering from laryngitis this evening, because I noticed her voice just wasn't coming out properly even though she was trying her hardest to make it happen, it was a shame because she nailed her performance in the jury show, but she might have been practicing a bit too much recently and her voice strained itself (unfortunately its one of those things singers have to try and battle with).
I'm glad Germany didn't finish on 0 points, definitely more radio-friendly than eurovision (as a Brit, we've made that mistake many times before lol).
France had a few problems in their jury show, hence why the jury score was on the lower side, but I think their performance in the televote show might have fallen foul to the running order, a bit like Australia. France were followed immediately by Norway, and everyone was going to be talking about Norway one way or another after seeing them perform. That being said, I really enjoyed France's performance.
This was a really strong year actually, and right up till the Ukraine televote score announcement, it was hard to work out who a clear winner was because things were pretty close up until then.
Australian song wasn't catchy. I am also a bit surprised how good Moldova did but I knew they would got quite a few points from televoting. People in Eastern Europe always vote for folk music from their region. They like it.

I'm German and I think the song was just incredibly boring, especially since the German public really wanted another song to enter the ESC and there even was a petition with 130.000 signatures to send them instead of Harris.
