I reacted to Attack on Titan Season 4's opening. After watching the first episode of Season 4, I am hyped for what this final season has to offer. I skipped over the opening, so I can record my genuine reaction to the opening visuals and song. Are you all hyped for Sunday? Every Sunday is a treat for me!

Well, for me ,as a manga reader, this opening is just the best of all the Shingeki No Kyojin Openings

@@HorHey If like Mappa said the anime will contain all the manga in just 16ep so there is not a long time to understand the opening, it's rich on spoiler but the spoilers are so deep that only Manga readers will understand it

I have never heard a bad AOT opening. The lyrics are brilliant, the beats are carefully crafted, and the symbolism is immaculate.

This anime has turned so dark making eren not a hero anymore and then this Opening and its meaning and I can’t take out the gibberish that sounds like Spanish sayin “you’ll live life alone” and I’m more scared cuz I haven’t seen the manga but don’t want to cuz I need to see this animated

The manga has 2 chapters left. So 2 months: about 8 weeks / 8 episodes.
Then the anime would probably have covered 2/3 of season 4 content.
This song is literally called Eren song. When the verse starts it’s eren talking. The chorus is the perspective of people from Marley. Especially when they call eren a monster, monster , monster!

Like EVERYONE is saying the final chapter is trash, and while I'll agree it wasn't amazing they act like it ruined everything and that the story as a whole sucks now. The ending wasn't what we expected but it wasn't trash, it had so many little details that I remember being stated in earlier chapters, even chapter 1 had multiple connections with the ending and I really enjoyed looking at this and connecting the dots!! I can bet MONEY that in a few months people will say the ending was a Masterpiece because this is how this fandom has been in the past we hate new things then love it. I think in a way it's a coping mechanism for the fact that it's over, but we need to find a healthier one guys 😭😭

You're commentary is genius. I love how you summed up the AOT fandom so effortlessly. I agree with you 100%. The AOT fandom is very radical lol, in the sense that we jump to conclusions or strong opinions right away without looking at the other side. Same thing happened with fans getting triggered over MAPPA's CGI animation. The AOT fandom fails to keep an open mind because we expect the best of the best. However, no anime or story is 100% perfect. The imperfections are what makes these stories human and enjoyable.

I am going to politely disagree because I still think the opening represents WWII. The dropping of "bombs" and the mushroom clouds are symbolic of atomic bombs and the destruction that WWII inflicted on the world. WWII's consequences were much more destructive than WWI. Also, the armband on Marleyans show the tactics Nazi Germany used to identify Jewish people. Regardless, the trailer shows the destruction of war and puts out the message that nobody really wins in total war.

Facts bruh. AOT is such a great anime that I am not reading the manga because of how amazing the anime is. After watching Season 4, I will probably read the manga because I heard the manga is a masterpiece in itself as well.

It's hard to avoid spoilers, but nothing comes close to the scenes actually getting animated. In a sense, you can still look forward to the direction the anime goes, so all hope is not lost!
