- Another spirited game of Hail Caesar consisting of 2 Greek Divisions and 3 Germanic Divisions. In this battle report we have taken lists from the Biblical and Classical supplement.

Christ you rolled like a God early on. That Greek army is absolutely beautiful too. It's probably not cool to ask but if you are ever thinking of selling that army one day I will pay over the odds! I'm selling my 40k army myself to get more into historical wargaming
I wish you contacted me sooner I already sold a huge portion of my 40K ork army to buy more orks

@@holydiver539 Oh sweet I'll keep an eye out on your eBay. I'm 26 and have only ever played DnD in large amounts but historical wargaming seems right up my alley. 40k is alright but I just want to streamline my collection really and prioritize my historical armies (Late Roman at the moment, but I'd like to assemble a Hail Caesar Greek army). Shame it's only 40k that's popular around here. Hail Caesar seems fun. I love your Greek army a bit too much I must say. If they ever feature on your eBay I'll be right on it!

Been really loving the Hail Caesar batreps while I paint. I'm using the Warlord hoplites and peltasts in a Herd army for KoW as stand ins for the tribal spears/hunters. This lets me field a mythical Greek army by backing them up with centaurs, a cyclops (brutox) and minotaurs (guardian brutes)

Holy, double check me ov this but Germans turn 4, the phalanx unit loses its phalanx special rule of the are shaken. Also, victorious shaken units must check morale (no modifiers) if they are in a close combat.
Rob Prince so they lose the Special Rule of Phalanx if they're shaken? I'm not sure if you could lose a Special Rule like Phalanx drilled Elite. On the subject of the needing a moral test to stay in combat after becoming shaken and being Victorious I'd have to check.
Holy, check page 102 for the Phalanx rule. Long story short, if it's a drawn combat (ie you lose with a phalanx unit, but by 2 or less), you still check if you are shaken and you use the FULL difference in casualties. Make sense? You don't lose phalanx, it just doesn't work if you draw in a combat.
And as far as testing if shaken in combat, page 72. (and I will fully admit that we have been playing this wrong) but if a unit is shaken and draws in a combat, it must test. If it wins, it's good.
Also, shaken units cannot charge or support charging units.
