As someone who fights mainly against ai I always watch these thinking of how far behind I'd be lol, still really fun watching
That's why I prefer team games to 1v1. Let's me focus on fewer problems. If you're lucky enough to get people on discord voice, you can get some interesting team plays and advice.
that i was thinking as well, then i hope into multiplayer some 4vs4, and it wasnt that bad. Give it a try, otherwise you will never know ;)
Gyle casts strong player generally, but there's way more players at the lower elos for you to play with
Yeah the game really demands Korean APM by default because of the silly econ system. And there's essentially no real community effort made on a genuine training AI. Your choice is get trounced by cheated AI, steamroll a sleeping AI, get trounced by professional humans, or collect newb scalps. "Strange game, the only winning move is not to play." Or watch casts.
You gotta love it when the team mates that negligently died first spend the rest of the game trying to tell the remaining players what to do.
Always love seeing chrono dampener being used. Such a fun upgrade, most people don’t know it adds 2000hp to your commander! Great cast

Did JustQ just leave his GC to get destroyed by the ion storm at 40:00? Bit of a significant blunder there. I can understand him not seeing the chicken at the end if his attention was elsewhere, but not queueing up a move command for that GC is just a rookie mistake. Would have completely changed things had he retained that asset.
The whole game felt like a competition about who could do the best blundering xD

@@therat3028 ya, same... funny thing is, the ion storm wiped out the wreck to, so once gyle didn't mention it when it happened, I knew it was completely missed. leaving the gc there to die to the ion storm despite almost half hp was going to be the biggest oops in this game... then the ending happened.
Just Q obviously had lots to do but he got way too focused on whatever he was doing multiple times. He lost the GC when he shouldn't have. He let his T3 army of harbs die to t1 arty. Most of his GC micro was non-existent either against the bases or the chickens...
Damn I didn't even notice that! I was thinking towards the end "wait didn't Q have another GC?"

That was a good last stand. Seems tunnel vision was what gave the match away in the end.
Yeah, you could really feel the "supcom brain" from both sides at the end.

@@vincenttatin9279It's basically a term for any RTS type game where, when the game goes on long enough, the player simply gets tired of thinking so hard about the game and starts losing their ability to micromanage and macromanage at the same time, as well as starting to be more reactive in their strategies rather than proactive, leading to missed opportunities/bad plays and stuff like that, stuff they would have totally been able to think of and do if they were fresh.

Just_Q absolutely threw this game its ridiculous. Like honestly. He saw the chicken for like 3 minutes. What was he even looking at!?!??! Love how none of his team stuck around to ping it either.
I really wish you wouldn't leave it on reclaim, Gyle. Watching the econ situation gives important insight into the game.

I'll never understand how people cam be so careless with their ACU's at the end of the game like this.
Fatigue, micromanaging multiple fronts AND eco simultaneously, losing all your allies... even a 'mediocre' ally can still reduce the APM a good player needs, ping stuff, etc.
Hell I'll never understand how they throw away their ACU's in the beginning of matches like that either lol

Hi, as someone new to watching these, why arnt the teams color always coordinated like cold vs warm colors. Its so hard to tell whats going on and whos on who's team sometimes. This is one of the matches thats much better to view for a nub like me.
This is 4v4 ladder as opposed to a custom game. So when players select 4v4 ladder, the teams are automatically built and colored by the system instead of the players choosing their own in a lobby.

For wrecks on land it's up to ~80% (but this can be reduced by damage they receive).
In water then that percentage is halved.

Me, at the end of the video: "Yep, they cheesed it... disappointed again..."
I think this is the one thing about SupCom that absolutely ruins the game, the fact that if 1 certain unit of yours dies, it's instant game-over. Doesn't feel like a win when a team is getting beaten so hard but manages to do a cheeky snipe on the "I win" button...
