Holmie did Ctrl-K. 37:45 In fact, it seems like a Ctrl-K of all the units under his control so his allies couldn't use it, leaving that hole in the defenses Klaus would exploit just after, which is why Wild_KABAN said nobody play with him.
Might have been the unit cap kicking in, because some of his stuff got transferred.
@@zwierzak1748 Game transfers units over the cap to neutral civilian IIRC...
Also, default is to share unit cap, so 1000 Times 4 players i don't feel like there was 5000 units on the remaining team.
Also, 100% of the units disappeared... Not just like _most_ of them. And he was losing units and probably not capped.
He wasn’t helping anyone through most of the game. Kaban _did_ start flaming him shortly after getting merc’d himself, so that probably didn’t help the fighting spirit either, but deleting all your shared units and then yourself in response is just petty and inexcusable.
@@jarrod752 By default, the unit cap isn't shared. I checked the replay and it was indeed unit cap that made most of Holmie's stuff explode. Just a few T3 mexes got transferred to SkillIssue, who was already almost maxed out.
@@zwierzak1748 Don't things over the unit cap just switch to neutral? Why explode? And why would they be playing a full share game with shared unit cap off? That almost defeats the point of full share.
I was watching the Air fight in the minimap and it seemed like despite the lower number of ASFs the Restorers made a big difference in the fight. I've said this before on the channel but people really underestimate how powerful Restorers are in A2A. I think even his teammates were griping at him to stop building them and build more ASFs even.
You need around 3 ASFs to kill one restorer. But ASFs are more cost effektive and mich faster. You cant get restorer fast enough to every air fight in the map.
Holmie not only did Ctrl+K but also Ctrl+K all his stuff since it blew up on full share
No wonder his teammate said no one should play with him in future. That's just petty.
ive read elsewhere in the comments that it might have been due to unit cap on Skillissue's end. Apparently unit-cap does not get transferred aswell by default, so if that was turned off, the excess units might have exploded instead of being transferred. Not sure if this is true or not, but I felt like leaving it here anyway.
@@Nautules83 No, the game turns stuff over the unit cap to neutral (like the civilian structures), it doesn't destroy them. Unit cap also scales with the number of players whose slots you've inherited so as to allow full share to work in the first place. So that wouldn't be an issue. He definitely deleted it all, and his teammates recognized that hence their ire.

Kaiser deserves MVP in my books. Dude single handedly held back two opponents on his own even when they threw experimentals at him, he had them on the back for through sheer eco and T3 land production. With or without the snipes, I think he would have crushed his opponents and won the game for them anyway.

Suicidal telesnipes are generally unsatisfying, but I do enjoy it when they have put enough thought into it to not just drop in on a protected com/game ender and still do damage.

Funny how Maverick is well known for having an interesting personality, but he wasn't even close to being the toxic one, so props to White for winning this time. Also, dishonourable mention to Holmie for not only ctrl+k-ing himself, but also all of his units just to screw over SkillIssue. At least Maverick does his job.

Holmie played absolutely horrendously. He produced next to no units, letting white pound on blue. He produced next to no eco, he was behind the whole time. He contributed nothing to the team, leaving his flank wide open so all their restorers were bogged down defending him. And then he ctrl-ks! How did this guy ever get to 1200?

Yeah but not entirely unwarranted.
Ofc its rarely ever a good idea to be toxic to your own teammates but the frustration should be understandable as well. For example they were losing the air game pretty much from start to end and instead of focusing on T3 fighters to try and equalize, the air player is building a nuke and going YOLO tele-laser.
@@TheHuffur It's still terrible play by white. Air player is vs a higher eco player with more bases, who is also higher rated, so obviously they expect to lose air. Yet white doesn't focus on their own play and flame instead. Top tip for those trying to become a better player, don't try to control what your teammates do, focus on what you can do better yourself. In this case, if they were good they could have built more mobile t3 aa, built their own air grid, sam creep, or any number of things to counteract the air power (which is what a 2k + rated player would do). If at any point you feel rage against your teammates, queue solo ladder, then suddenly every loss is 100% your fault, and every win is your doing. If you are unwilling to do so, it means your ego is fragile and you can't stand the thought of being bad at the game (which you are, unless you're already 2k+), hence you play team so you can blame teammates if you lose, while patting yourself on the back if you win. At super high levels, players usually blame themselves if they lose, because there's always something they could have done better to prevent the loss. Getting better is all about having the right mentality, and that starts with viewing the game objectively, and focusing on what you can change.
P.S Yellow did the right play in a pug group, and they went for a winning play rather than try to claw back air against superior eco and larger air grids. They ditched air and went for snipes on comms and nuke defense, and they hard carried the whole game, while white basically contributed nothing.
@@alexioskomnenos5290 Hindsight is 20/20 and you are basing Yellows performance/play on that rather than what he actually did and why. If his first teleport crashed and burned due to stealth bombers or something I really doubt you would be praising him and his decisions.
Contrary to what some people think the end does not always justify the means.
Just as being toxic in chat is a dick move so is actually being a dick when you play, selling your teammate for your own 'profit' is definitely a dick move and there is a very real correlation between Yellows lack of support and Whites lack of contribution. He was left to fight two players, them having more resources than him so saying that he should just deal with both of them on his own and not complain is silly(and the fact that he more or less fought and had some success on that front despite this should be considered a big contribution, tying up two players for that long while being disadvantaged).
I very much doubt Yellow would have been happy if White pulled back into his own main base and started building a T3 arty or something and not caring what happens to Yellow when the combined ground and air forces roll his way.
@@TheHuffur Yellow was also fighting two players on air, so his hail mary play was the only possible winning play from his perspective. White meanwhile built exps, didn't need to push, he could have built air to help air win too, or just a ton of mobile aa (which also helps air). In the end, as a player you should only ever focus on your own play, and make what you think is the best possible play to win. Put any 2k rated player in white's position, they would have hard carried.
Bottom line is simple. If you hate your teammates, play 1 vs 1. If you can't do that, it's just an ego issue. If you do play 1 vs 1 and do really well and get to 2k+, then you can go right back into team games; from that point just play with the mentality that all your teammates will suck and you'll hard carry them all. Any time you fail at it in a lower rated game (i.e sub average 1.8k games), you failed hard at something, so you'll see it as an opportunity to improve.

for some reason... this reminds me what a shame it is the game not has some basic 'terain deformation/sculpting' mechanics because seriously while the 'walls' is practical for T1 ..anything else and it be simpler for each faction to try hamper movement ,block line of fire etc to just dig fat motes or sculpt the very land itself into 'walls' to block paths... or 'ridge bridge' to get forces to a new position without constant air lifting ^^
also..
damit, its a shame it apparently is so hard to make a ''teleportation blocking field'' tactical defence building for the faf curation of the game :/ would be a sweet way to represent the natural arms race in 'balance' aka... only some factions have efficient local teleportation , natural recourse for those that have lees efficient ones.. to develop ways to hamper the use of such means.

aye thats the 'pragmatic' solution to it in practical terms atm lat time i played thats more or lees why as uef i spread out ravagers across the power/factory spots ;)
but compare the cost of covering each part of critical infrastructure with enough pd's with say a 'field generator/disruptor' 1/10th of that cost that limit where someone could teleport to and well ,that leaves a fk load of resources to deploy in other directions.
besides , if it could be made to work it could be given an interesting quirk for a purely logical in game reason aka , sure you can build quantum field disruptor ...but it also mean any support commander gates in its area shuts of because , well.. you cant safe guard agenst 'bridge head' rifts or singular teleports if you leave a glaring 'this freqvence is cool' gap in it right ^^

I feel like kaiser was the real MVP's they had to hold the front and plug gaps the entire game with no air vs multibase opponents.
Also don't fault ferfer for abandoning air, there was no way they could win it back.

Thats wrong. Most Mapgen Maps are not axial symmetric but point symmetric. Try it out ;)
