I saw a cast on Willow's Duality channel featuring Willowisp. Willow had his base badly ravaged. On Seton's. He teleported in the back of the ennemy territory, poped a stealth generator and some tactical missile emplacement. If I remember correctly, he sniped 2 commanders and won the game. Most awesome FAF game I ever watched.
3 commanders. 1 taken out by tact missles along with a Para. 2nd by tact nuke and torp and final with continental transport and tact nuke. One of my fav cast by gyle and I watch repeatedly.
@@Altec006322 was about to mention that. Big river map with enemies already setting up LF's on both ends of willow's shore, river completely lost, about to be overrun when he leaves everything behind and only defends his base for long enough that he gets to build the last tac-nuke. absolutely glorious game.
What was the name of that cast? I'd love to see that.

one of the things Willow apparently understands like nobody else: it doesn't matter how much more base the enemy has over you so long as they aren't the ones throwing the last punch
Willow is the flip a coin player. He either goes out in the first 10 mins doing something crazy or he turtles like mad.

Bloody hell that was a good one. Willow absolutely killed it.
And yeah Gyle Asswashers have had a delayed boom for quite a while now. Smaller initial blast gives coms time to get out of dodge before the big bewm... Not much but it gives another opportunity for last minute spicy plays.
Does it also help do more damage to shielded bases? The initial blast seems to drop the shields and then the 2nd one does more than the old way.

been playing Beyond All Reason and watching some casts. gyle, all these casters need to check you out for how to properly cast these games. dont even play Supreme Commander, but nobody casts as well as you
True, even though other games like TA, PA and BAR have their good casters, none are on the same level as Gyle
You know there's high chance of an incredible play happening if Willow is participating.
Probably my 3rd favorite play of his, after the tac missile backdoor and the paragon corner comeback.

If you watch the replay of this: 22140894 from team 1's point of view, a key factor is the stealth on the bugs and them not being detected as they skirt along the top edge and therefore not targeted by the SAM's on their way in.
The ending was so close in more than 1 way. The last surviving bug was extremely close to being shot down as it picked on the final commander.
I thought that Willow coped well with the APM overload in the final third of this battle. That's one key difference between a 2100 and 1500.

Asswasher has now delayed bomb indeed, few patches ago it was changed. Now the bomb does some small initial damage but then rest of damage is done around the time explosion animation unfolds. It was added to give coms some small chance to get out of the way
When Willow survives the first 20 min he will win

Yeah, the Washer has delayed damage now. If I remember correctly, the logic was that the explosion VFX already looks delayed, so they adjusted the bomb to actually do damage when it *looks* like it should do damage.

I wonder if it is possible to have a UI panel for watching replays that collects ACU icons/buttons from all players to see their HP easier and to move the camera instantly to where they are by clicking on them

It's so strange watching 3 pros losing to only 1.5 soul rippers like that. They built all their aa for a bomber assault, but didn't consider that the soul ripper can fly around and stay at one side.
Still it was so close one more sam could have saved them.

I would REALLY love to see some color unity along teams lines. Like, Warm colors vs Cool colors. I've never been able to read teams with this rando color assignment.
