Wouldnt be a Gyle cast if he didn't miss the first 4 nukes in the replay. I really wish he would have a second person in his ear as he is watching the replay mentioning this stuff as he streams.
Yes please! Gyle really needs a co-host, even if all they do is keep their eyes glued to the minimap.
A nice lady saying "Strategic launch detected" would really make all the difference.

Or just edit the game later and show a mini shot of explosion so show the things missed. Seen a red alert guy do something like that to great effect

32:48 Hyper teled after the SACU and killed it, then died from bombers. That's why Sockfull was talking about why his "RAS boy" was murdered. It was a trap where Sock left his SACU exposed to bait a telesnipe on the wrong target.
Also, totally ignoring the "Strategic Launch Detected" until it blows up, and then ignoring the nuke that sails past at 40:02 or that it hits at 40:13. Takes Gyle to not notice a couple nukes... Or the one at 42:20... Or all the chat talking about taking down SMDs...
1:05:03 You can see Weck tele-snipes Signal. Odin had been in the top-right corner, then teleports basically into the nuke that just landed on the far south area, and very close to a bug that finishes him off. (Can see him on the bottom at 1:05:12. No they aren't Ctrl-Ks.)

And that's why you use the Highlight ACU mod, or at least double-check your tele-target.

I have to say... I got offended by that quite a bit xD While searching what killed the fist ACU (Nuke) he missed the next nuke.

Don't know about others, but I prefer Average Joe's games since Pro's tend to be short and unforgiving.
I love Gyle, 53 mins Gyle is talking about Yolo-na being up and how nobody can see it and Team 1 is all scared coz they are feeling a Scathis hammering their bases :D
Good god, you haven't missed as much in any other cast as in this one, and I watched them all.

You can out spam a Yolona Oso, you need at least 8 anti nuke tho and you seeing it as soon as possible helps. Also Gyle 2nd Nuke out now"....5 nukes into the game😄
Actually i think 6 SMDs are already enough. Yolona is not thaaat hard to defend against. Sad that they didnt manage to do that.
@@skuzzn815 i think even 6 smds is only for heavily assisted yolo, i remember 4 smds can hold out if some are loaded at the start vs unassisted yolo, given neither stalls
@@carlod5818 yeah 4 can just about keep up. but as soon as one other nuke is thrown at them they wont be able to keep up. also i find the value of the yolona is where you can totally obliterate your enemies expansion across the map. they may be able to spam enough smd`s at home base but they wont be able to do that anywhere else
We _need_ more 8v8 games where everyone no one dies in the first few minutes. The amount of chaos and full scale warfare you get from the amount of units from having 8 players on both teams is just intense and I love it!

I think he missed the first 3 nukes. 4th one launched he called it the first. While I enjoy the the casting, some priority needs to be given to nuke launches as they can easily kill coms. He was focused on some early experimental pushes, but completely ignored 3 nukes fired during, and missed a commander kill because of it.
@@nootherdestiny I'm amazed he manages to miss them tbh it all other audio gets reduced somewhat while a loud voice announces the launch of a nuke. Kinda hard to miss imo.
Gyle has the minimap up but he doesn't seem to ever look at it.
@@NameNotAlreadyTaken2 yeah i notice that too. it can get a bit annoying. when T2 flew their entire asf fleet directly towards the yolonna i assumed they were going to snipe it with strats. gyle didnt even acknowledge it until they were halfway back so it wouldve been something missed

MVP was definitely white. Without his unbreakable hold on his side of the channel, and that clutch play with the 4 experiementals, team 1 would have capitulated from the immense pressure from their bottom pond. Without white, there was almost nothing that would have stopped the land pressure before the Yolona could be used effectively

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the amount of teamwork on show here? The team doing all the nuke launches did an absolutely amazing job at coordination and showed far greater teamwork than I see in nearly all of these videos, even the ones involving "pros". Definitely wish Gyle would take a moment to read the in-game chat from time to time (though with everything going on in the game I know how much that'd be asking), because the scoffing about lack of SMD really misses the best bits of this game. There was a surprising lack of SMD because they were coordinating teammates to do things like telesnipe SMD and also focused on using the nukes to damage the other teams eco if they didn't think they could hit an ACU.
Again love this video and how well they played.

The best way to spend an evening. A Gyle epic supcom cast and a glass of whiskey. Keep it up, Gyle! TO BE CLEAR: I think minimizing the time between the video starting and announcing the players is best. The sooner you get into the meat of the video, the more people stick around. Speaking from experience ;)

one of these days, I pray that the double Billy nuke combo will rear its explosive head again. Its a old strategy me and my friend would use to remove roughly anything we looked at far before nukes were able to do so. Very good at taking out coms under shields as well. We need a FaF version of team wars, were each time or side picks only one faction to play were it would be Billy nuke haven.

Trust Gyle to miss the first three nukes of the game lol! Also I disagree about telesnipes - not only do they have a perfectly functional counter, but they're also just exciting and fun. The real cancer of the game imo is T3/T4 arty spam, which has no long-term counterplay and is boring af to both watch and play against as it slowly wins the game for you from a full turtled position. Novax spam has the same issue.
i feel a tele inhibitor would give away too much about the enemy base as well. you could just try to tele into a spot and be told you cant, which reveals that they have a structure without you having to do any kind of scouting
everyone here complaining about the amount of stuff gyle misses, but that's what makes a gylecast, a gylecast :D

Blind loyalty is more idiotic than a single criticism which is easily justified in this case. I can understand missing something when there is a lot going on but the things Gyle was focusing on at key moments were mundane in comparison. How many more cues than a very audible "strategic launch detected", the chat discussing it and a very obvious nuclear symbol flying across the screen and mini map does it take..... There is only one blind person involved here and he has about 10 years experience...
How are you seeing the Dislikes? I thought YT in its infinite wisdom had already decided transparency was for suckers and hid those.

There's an extension you can download called 'Return RUclips Dislikes'. It does what it says, although, we're at the point it's not 100% accurate.
It is mostly accurate tho.
@@totaldramagamer5521 I thought that thing just showed what the Dislike count was prior to YT hiding it? That shouldn't work at all for new vids. So how does it work then, and why is it not accurate?

Watching the Yolona Oss spam out super nukes was frustrating as a viewer. I can only imagine how unfortunate it was for Team 2 to have to deal with. Seems like once it's up and firing, unless the Seraphim player is being heavily pressured rather than safe in the back line, it's game over for the other team.

About the mercies, right after they leave the factory fuel starts ticking down, even after they land, so early in the game with limited buildpower and resources your group size is limited. They also get ~2 shot from t1 aa.
The "its my show, sit down and watch" commentary from Gyle...was just out of touch with how his viewers feel about multiple t3/t4/snipe action being missed completely. This was a truly an abysmal amount of things missed this game.

Maybe, instead of blocking Teleports there could be a Structure that slows the Teleport charging by ~80% if it targets into its AoE? Maybe also add an automatic warning on the Incoming Teleport?
There's actually a mod for that, mayhem. It has anti teleport towers and such.
You have no idea how angry it made me that Babushka died at 36:06, UEF TMD's are just so incredibly bad that it's not even funny. 7 tactical missiles were fired across the pond and 1 ship with TMD fired 2 volleys and killed off 1 of the missiles, fired another volley and damaged another (I'm guessing to half health) but during 36:00 that missile dies (it's unclear if something shot it or damaged missiles die off after a second), it's possible that that one ship, took out 2 missiles itself.
That leaves 5 missiles for 3 TMD's to destroy. 5 missiles are flying in, the 3 TMD's lock on and destroy 1 of them, 4 remaining. Before the 4 missiles reach the commander, all 3 TMD defences fire off another volley. There are now 3 tactical missiles remaining. Commander goes boom. Despite firing off 6 shots, only 2 missiles get destroyed.
So, I actually done some testing comparing different races TMD's etc, it turns out that the further away a tactical missile is fired, the less time TMD's will have to shoot at it, this is because the missiles would have started their descent alot sooner giving the TMD"s less time to shoot at them as they're already pretty close to the ground.
Anyway, fired 42 missiles at the aeon volcano, it chewed up 41 of them and the last one flew off course because of the ball it fired.
3 zappers would have stopped 4 missiles.
3 seraphim TMD's would have stopped 4 missiles (depending on range fired at)
4 buzzkills would barely be enough. There were times 3 missiles still got through.
You've no idea how many times I wish I could just build the governor on land (t2 cruiser ship) because at least then, UEF would finally have some good TMD. /rant

Replays would be so much easier and better to watch if all players on a team had the same colour. E.g red vs blue. Having multiple red shades on different teams and blues and yellows on both teams is jarring and hard to follow when it gets busy. Tbh it’s probably not possible with the limitations of the game, but would be good
During your filming are the audio conditions where you can not hear the game play? For instance, "Strategic Luanch Detected" ??
This game was taxing to play in - I missed some of my own teams nukes!
And there are people who need to be told the basics (myself being one of them) because we don't play the game and just enjoy the casts

Noob question, why are the Mass extractors in the beginning all paused? With the red "atm not working" marker? It seems like their all upgrading, but all at the same time in early game? ._.
As a fellow Englander, I know what you mean Gyle. It seems to be very hard to type full words these days. Know only has two more letters yet people do that. Plus the word that has become part of the ethos that I despise, "Welp" which means absolutely nothing. It was just a spelling mistake, yet has become a word that loads of people use to mean "well".

Okay that should be enough space to have the show more thing. Anyway at 36:06: While watching these replays and playing the game myself, I feel more and more that TML snipes need to have the counter buffed up. It seems ridiculous that there aren't tml launch alerts for situations where multiple are closing in on your ACU while surrounded by TMD. As it stands literally the only reason snipes at this stage work is that the player is distracted. So despite being surrounded by the buildings specifically meant to counter those snipes there's basically nothing you can do about it short of being hyperfocused on your ACU nonstop.
Just feels like they should do something to have nearby TMD give some sort of alert so that the player isn't more or less forced into focusing on a single unit.

I feel like people forget the Scathis can move. Unnecessary Scathis death makes me sad.
I don't think there would have been time to move it, it would have to retract and after that it's really slow.
So why exactly is T1 PD helfing against laser sniper? 🤔
I don't get why the Mercy has limited fuel in the first place, I reckon it should just slow down like any other airplane and have to wait to refuel. And also be usable on aircraft carriers and Czars. Since they get creamed by any tier air defense they'd be far from overpowered, but might actually see a bit more use.

Its frustrating that this is the main way to get to pseudo take part in games like this. Trying to find matches like this in the FaF community can be very slow due to the amount of people desperate to only play dual gap, or only play no arty, no air, no nuke matches that are just so dull. I really love the game but god damn it makes it more of a chore to play. Good video as always Gyle.
it's like SC2 and the arcade/coop, unfortunately RTS is more of a niche genre these days and a large portion of the population will only engage in pvp if its extremely streamlined by removing certain strategies/units or simplifying the maps. The only thing that can be done is to bring more players in or make a new title that plays similarly and try to entice and retain players.
@@creativityfails1 It seems to me like RTS communities have a bit of a bad habit of quite potent toxicity to new players, I know most games do anyway but it just seems so much more targeted when someone is new to an RTS and it obviously doesn't help new players or make them want to continue taking part.
"only play no arty" - tbh I can sympathize with that. Arty spam is cancer, and is pretty dull in itself anyway.
Thank the FAF gods for 1v1 and 4v4 matchmaker, with those being the best bets for a reasonably quick queue times. At the right time of the day.
Some people like playing the same map(s) over and over again. Others prefer variety. There's something for everyone. Although, of course, it would be nice if we had more people playing this great game...
@@ArawnOfAnnwn If you disable arty there is a good chance that the match will end up in a stalemate, cause both teams will be unable to make a dent in each other's defenses. I played at least one game like that. After 40 something minutes a stern line of T2 arty was able to kill any and all experimentals.
