Hello, Pepes here...
So glad to sended cast to Gyle
Thanks for nice comments
Это одна из не многих игр, которая интересная, мне так жаль, что я играл тогда, если бы играл сейчас возможно не было такой эпичности!) Pepe's bro!
Pepes MOTM for me. He had much less support from his air player than Pruegler, he was agressive from the start, didn't buckle under air pressure and under Tempest pressure and was a huge pain in the ass for the other team which greatly contributed to the victory. A silent hero
Thanks man
he could've just sailed over and prevented the tempest from being built right next to him
Yes Pepe MVP without doubt
I was rooting for pepe the whole time! MVP for sure
Watching the experimental bomber luckily crashing overtop the only defending smd's there at the end, allowing the super nuke to land nukes was epic. Clutch play having their bomber take 1 for the team to give their team the means to win
Thanks for the spoil
@@noreavad why u read comments first?
If you looked more closely, it crashed almost simultaneously with its bomb landing at the exact same spot. It would have gotten the SMDs either way, but it was still kind of funny how it accidentally confirmed the kills with its face.
I killed her on purpose so that she fell with her body on the smd, since I wasn't completely sure if there were shields there.@@jadekaiser7840
That was kinda lame tbh. They should have had more smd. Kinda anti climatic
1:38:30 the asswasher kills both SMDs, which are SUPER critical, right on screen, Gyle in good Gyle fashion doesn't even notice. Love you, man!
I am not sure he missed it... I get the feeling that sometimes Gyle doesn't comment what's on screen because it is obvious to the audience or he is in the middle of a thought/sentence... Anyway, I like his casts too !
What about during an epic naval battle , Gyle counting the asf and making a point on the eco, noticed nothing about the pond battle.
@@vincenttatin9279no he is just bad at this
yea i saw that. the moment i saw that asswasher get that drop off i knew this was game over.
Gyle turns to Biden mode in 1:38:13
What a game, what a cast! GG all!
Shoutout Pepes with the navy especially!
So good to see you here!
Thanks man
The Voicechat in our Team was surprisingly calm.
You held out pretty well
the VC was a pure shittalk and I can proudly say I was part of it! 10/10 would do again
keep scouting next time, and your vc might be more exciting with cheers of victory
41:36 Was that a bunch of your T3 bombers getting mauled up north? I think they are T1. But if T3 that could have been a game changer
Also, 39:02 was a bad decision to fight over all those lightning tanks :(
39:40 they lost that Air battle because they were literally sitting above a ton of ground to air units.
yeah, he was talking about ZUM "somehow" winning the air battle, but he had successfully baited the enemies into fighting directly over more than a dozen of Corn's lightning tanks for a solid minute or two.
Yeah lol.
The dynamic nature of this game, where you can recover several times, is why this game is still so great after all this time.
35:29 Team 2 gray ASF's made a good move to attack one group of Team 1's ASF fighters and then split his forces upon retreat once he saw the reinforcements coming in. He still lost the engagement but saved a lot of his ASF's.
In terms of absolute kills I think he actually technically won that engagement. His losses were relatively light, and he wasn't able to do anything to red, but he killed nearly half of the other guy's fighters. It still didn't put him ahead, but it definitely didn't knock him out.
Then he won the later engagement outright by staging the fight over an entire battalion of lightning tanks.
@@Jesse_359 Yeah - That was an EPIC move right there. Kept team Team-1 from taking total air domination.
Simply unbelievable that Zum won air while fighting over 20+ friendly lightning tanks :)
39:40 Airfight on top of twenty lightning tanks... "Wow, how did he win that?"
38:52 Wow, those lightning tanks are doing *work*.
46:21 I was just thinking "oh this does not look great for Team 2" and then realized there is an hour left in the video. So I am actually gonna say T2 will win this, because Team 2 air guy seems very competent, and Team 2 navy guy is going to rule the waves... But no idea. May be a coin flip.
1:08:30 Oh my god what a ride...
1:38:26 lol that bomber holy hell
And game.
This was an awesome match!
Holy BALLS - You are SO RIGHT.
Enjoy the naval bits, but I could honestly do with a green blue tropical sort of map or two. Always nice to enjoy the scenery amidst all the chaos.
Yeah, it's been too many of those red maps lately.
Solid plays all around, Corn's constant pressure, Pepe winning the waves, Pez coming back in the southeast, LL protecting just enough while Zum made the plays. Great play on the air engage above the lightning tanks, some clutches but still, well done. Team 1 couldn't bring it home.
By the time you asked, team 2 had the better cards, but still several moments where they could've buckled.
Absolutely crazy game. I always love hearing about why your dog is upset =)
Gyle's dog is all - "MASTER! LOOKIT THAT EXPERIMENTAL RIGHT THERE!!... Aw hell, yer blind Gyle...."
They forgot the first rule of Paragons: once you have one, immediately build a second.
(Outside the blast radius of the first.)
Ah, you mentioned it later.
thanks for your service Gyle
The epicness in this game is unreal! Back and forth all the time ! Tension for both teams all the time. Well done players and well done Gyle keeping up with the game and running your mouth for so long lol!
The SMD dies because colossus have a small area damage field if they fall over. They damage things they fall on.
Wasn't it a shot from a sniper bot from below? Looked like it.
@@Avalyahful I'm pretty sure it was actually the second GC behind it. You couldn't see it at the moment of the SMD dying, because it was hidden under the defending death donut, but it's there and you can see it a few seconds later.
@@Avalyahful That second GC then got damaged by its own team's Yolo shot, and finished off by the donut landing on top of it.
I think it actually was the GC fall that killed it. The timing is almost spot on and the torso ends up squarely on top of the SMD.
Looked like friendly fire from Red's Mercies, the green cloud....assuming the AOE does damage
Looking at this map makes me realise that they absolutely need to add lava to FAF. Those old TA maps with rivers of lava looked so cool.
What a great game! Awesome, this is the kind of games I enjoy the most, brilliant from both sides.
Very impressive, if Virus had requested for an aeon engineer for better shields, the game might have changed. But, especially for his rating, very well played Sir. Maybe next time.
ZUM was definitly MVP in this game though. Gorthaur´s expansionist move at the end was a nice call, but maybe gift some build capacity to the paragon owner next time if he is missing it.
This is just backseat- commenting, this was a game to behold. Nobody did a real bad slip up, everything was nicely countered and it was absolutly epic!
🎉🎉🎉
Corn carried the team in their darkest moments in the mid game, contesting team one's artillery play and sending in crutial experimantals to hold the line. Pepe needed to transition to sending in experimentals from the ocean toward the end to end the game sooner.
ooh yeah. a fat boy on that island in the north east would have been clutch. could have pushed forward onto the mainland, and protected it with his cruisers. would have reached further than just pure t2 cruiser missiles I think
In a way Pepes carried fairly well with his missile spam. Team 1 didn't have the ability to defend against that.
Apparently the Ion Storm not targeting units properly was a bug and it got fixed in the last update. It's supposed to work fine now. 47:10 looking at the strategic and economical situation, I'd have to say team 1. However, tactically, team 2 is doing much, much better. This game will be decided on a "strategy vs tactics" basis. If ZUM and co. can keep up their great attacks and pushes, team 2 might be the one to lose despite more eco.
EDIT: Seems like I was right, through continuous tactical superiority, they eventually took over the strategic lead as well. Well done to ZUM and friends.
Red after pretty surely winning air "Let me hover over 20 t3 AA units" 😂
Yeah, saw the fight engaging over all those tanks and was like "this isn't going to turn out the way they think it should..."
Corn’s lightning tanks were doing amazing work!
Check where that Ahwasa lands at 1:38:26. That finally decided the game.
Actually the bomber itself fell short. The bomb it released just before killed the smd - you can see they are alive while bomber is already on the ground and then the animation of ahwassa bomb exploding just on top of th smds.
@@Avalyahful oh yeah, that's correct. But I couldn't fathom, what killed the Ahwasa? Seemed like a Ctrl-K to me. :D
So clutch.
Yes, it was Ctrl-K, because I wasn't sure if there were shields there, but I was in a hurry, and I timed it wrong.@@Avalyahful
@@Avalyahful well spotted! I was wondering how the SMD got taken down. I believe at that point they had three anti-nuke missiles left which would have countered the next super-nuke and allowed them to maybe bring that big bunch of SMDs online.
HOLY SHITZ!!! WHAT A GAME!!! The back-and-forth of this one was un-friggin'-buh-LEEVE-able! It really seemed that, even though the naval action on the upper-right appeared to be a stalemate, the actual weight of fire from all massive number of naval there allowed the strategic game to play out to Team-2's advantage. Good God, how i LOVE FAF!
The most awesome game I have ever seen since I discovered FAF games on YT! GGs, hats off, thank you Gyle, for showing it! 👏👏👏👏👏
That is the craziest SupCom game I have ever seen. Well played all, thnx for the video Gyle.
shout out to corn who managed to get chickens into places to put on pressure and do damage, not as flashy as the rest of team 2 but until the snipe was causing enough nuisance to let the others build up.
I would sooo buy an Aeon themed shirt from you that says "Floaty Floaty, naughty naughty" :)
1:25:23 "Gyle worthy game" in chat 😂
I play a lot of map gen, and underwater mexes do happen, but are extremely rare.
Also, gonna pick team 1 because they're 700 mass up over team 2.
Yay I was rooting for team 2! Nice to see navy making some kind of a difference in the game.
Haven't even started watching the stream, and I'm already pleased to see the 1:44 duration. You know things are gonna get completely bonkers already and we're going to end up seeing some poor punch-drunk bastards nearly 2 hours in, just mashing their faces against the keyboard trying desperately to make it all end... :D
Hahahahaha that's a brilliant observation 🤣
Absolutely awesome game, credit to those players, could have sworn that team 1 had it in the bag. Very enjoyable to watch.
"That's a lot of SAMs...... Ukraine would be proud" 😂😂
"Mosquitoes pubes worth of hit points" KEKW!!!!
Im doing security at the backend of the fair today. Could be a 12 hour shift. I just looked at the time and saw im only 45 minutes into this epic. Thanks Gyle!
One of the best matches I've seen. Love the long and exciting games!
One of the most exciting games I've seen since a very early Setons Clutch game gyle casted like 7 or 8 years ago lol. Maybe even longer. I thought the game was over when the 2nd paragon came up for team 1 and started skipping time a bit but no! Crazy outcome. Just goes to show that the ground game still matters even into late game. I don't play SupCom but it seems the ground game always seems to fade away once T3 arty and nukes come into play
Snack. Check.
Comfy spot. Check
EPIC Gylecast. Check
My body is ready.
I watched the last video with my 5 yo niece, she loves it. also watching replay in faf at the same time to make sure i dont miss anything
Hello Gorthaur here... xd
ty for pronouncing my name right, @Gyle! Really appreciated
Yeah, sucks to have only loosing spots in ur team....
Searching for more competent teammates
1:18:50 And that was my nuke as well
u bad
Say that to my former trainer ;)@@sladow5975
What a superb game/cast!
It made headaches just watching it. Well played guys.
1:04:30 Iiteraly spit out my drink. OMG
Very fun game to watch, thanks for the content
Amazing amazing game. Loved this one!
One of the best epics ever!!!
*Minor spoilers*
After watching this, I feel like the engi's ability to boost shields needs to be nerfed. When a single shield is able to tank a full _3_ salvation artillery pieces punching on it, I feel like that is antithetical to the idea of what a game-ender is.
They are supposed to be buildings that are so powerful that you _must_ destroy them, or you will eventually lose the game. They are essentially a more fun version of the wonders from Age of Empire 2 - super-expensive constructions that put you on a _literal_ victory-timer. They exist to prevent games from turning into multi-hour long stalemates. With drones and engis boosting shields however, suddenly there is a way to resist the game-ender indefinitely. You have effectively found a way to not just slow, but out-right _stop_, the victory timer that your opponent started when they built the game-ender, without destroying it. I feel like this is exactly what you should not be able to do.
What are your takes? Agree, disagree?
This is not so unambiguous, because you need to spend a lot of resources on the shield assist. He continued to fire at yolo, although there were a lot of poorly protected generators nearby, without which such an assist and restoration of the shield would be impossible. Also, the stations for engineering drones were very poorly protected, and they could be killed in a couple of shots. The game has a very good balance, you need to choose the right goals and set priorities, for this, first of all, you need good scouting.
Shield assist requires massive resources to pull off like that but he was on 1000k mass income (somehow) so it's not unrealistic, team 1 should've gone for their eco first.
Also rover drones used to have a return timer, and shield charging used to take an enormous amount of energy. Those two things being buffed also allow Zhum to last this long. Also playing full/partial share, is annoying as it takes away the ability to turn a game around with a snipe.
Gorthaur reappearance on Gylecast!
THE DOG !
That match was wild. Well played to everyone.
Very happy with this one, seeing a great game where navy was a major factor but absolutely dominate and then also the t3 arty coming and going, fantastic game all around even from the "lower" skill players, i for sure would have done far worst and given up far sooner
1:25:20 - "gyle worthy game" :D
insane game, more of these please.
Awesome cast!
Man this was getting me sweaty! Intense game.
I am a simple man. I see giant-mega-nuke-launcher, I click
Naval battles of SPC are the most enjoyable to watch.
Awesome game
Mate, i would love to watch this in UWQHD.
anyways, thanks for the vid as always, Love it!
Wow, the see-sawing just kept going.
46:53 - Team two is going to make the game once they win sea!
Thank you!
Gyle: "apologies if you can hear my dog barking"
Me: "SupCom can wait, SHOW ME THE PUPPER"
To me this game really illustrates the superiority of Cybran and UEF in late game just by dint of sheer ability to scale build capacity with hives/kenells and spend your mass. Once you're no longer devoting 50% of your eco to upgrading mexes everyone overflows mass except if you have a bank of build capacity big enough to spam experimentals or t3. Even moreso with shield tanking.
I really enjoyed this game. bring on the epic slugfests
Interesting map
8:29 LOL never gets old
You know wat would be really cool!? An experimental that has 500,000 hit points, moves slowly, has no weapons but is classified as 'massive' (crushes enemies and buildings by rolling over them).
Red should have built T3 engies from the air factories once the Paragon was finished. Only ~2k from the Para is almost nothing.
mvps to me are Zum the underdog applying pressure late game getting the win and sole air player for team 2 and for team 1 mvp is hau after capitlizing on air dominace and supporting his team till the end. Honestly i could give mvp to Pepe and the guy who sacrifice himself (to lazy to read name) the was by far the best epic or any rts battle iv ever seen
I guessed right calling team 2, but it was hardly the path to victory I expected.
Almost two hours well hot dam
realgame time was 2h 10mins
Hell of a match!
"Strategic launch detected"
*Nuke flies through the middle of the camera*
Gyle: 🙄
Imagine if Hau would have focused on killing other stuff instead of trying to go after the main base. he'd have lost his stuff, but with the ground experimental play at the end there, team 1 may have still been in it. Great game though, winning water was key to the win for sure.
He needed to go for the main base, because if he didn't then the Yolo would have been hitting his own base next. He didn't have enough experimentals to win outright without followup, and without killing the Yolo immediately those experimentals would have been all that he had on the map in short order. Nor did he have enough behind those experimentals to win if they died killing the Yolo, which was what happened.
His only chance was if he could kill the Yolo before his base got hit, and still have several experimentals alive in enemy territory afterwards. Even then, it would have been a steep uphill battle.
@@jadekaiser7840 I understand the logic, but he didn't actually accomplish the intended task. Which is why I was interested in what the outcome would have been had he focused on killing everything else.
at first I wanted to launch a rocket into experimental units that were approaching the yolo, but at the last moment, I sent the last rocket to the commander Gorthaur))
45:20 - the Emissary of Corn? Must've been made in Ohio
That was an amazing match.
What a rollercoaster
1:38:30 - falling asswasher killed both SMDs!
“This emissary or khorne” probably one of the only sci fi battlefields where an emissary of khorne wouldn’t make much of an impact
I really really liked purple's plays.
That was awesome both of them had the chance of winning up until that nuke dropped
Hol leeeeeeeeee shieeeet.... That was a fight!
Hitchcock approves! 😂 Great job both teams ❤
MEGA length EPIC 😆
46:44, team 1 is favourite for winning, they've really crippled team 2 basically everywhere, except top pond (and pepe has been locked in that battle for ages without progress, with still no sign of a breakthrough)
That was a great game.
Team 1 I reckon their attacking tactics look quite impressive
BLOOD! FOR THE BLOOD GO....d? Ugh Wrong Universe. But still a good sacrifice to the algorithm.
Comment for the algorithm throne!
Man what a game!!!!
I was cheering for team 1 the whole game; Dostya, Out.
Truly epic game
I'm calling it for Team 2 because of their experimental nuke, arty, ASF superiority and strong UEF Navy.
No doubt it's difficult commenting on what you're viewing but "I can't believe it, he's actually won the field in terms of the airplay" @ 39:43, completely missing that the start of the fight was over allied t3 mobile anti air.
1:40:39 The last march of the ents!! EPIC
Great game. I wish red player had just gone with a navy over the turtle experimentals. He had a lot going on at the rime. The top naval player needed more help. Interesting how the game went, a lot different than most games.
