Player martian here. I never thought one of my games would be called an EPIC, so thanks Gyle! I think that our team lost because of the lack of teamwork since I wasn't paying attention to the right side. Also the bottom team played really well and their teamwork was much better. If anyone has any advice on what to improve, feel free to comment below. I would love to read it :)

With that out of my system i am going to retire to a russian bot farm.
Generally, try to play mostly zoomed out (the best players play zoomed out 90% of the time), this will help a lot with your map awareness. Also with a superior eco and a massively advantageous map state, scouting becomes high priority so you can see what is coming (with that much eco you can easily spam t3 air scouts, not scouting the enemy game ender was your biggest mistake this game). This tip is related to the first, because by being zoomed out a lot, you realize what area of the map lacks intel over time. I assume you also had omni up at a decent time as well, so you can easily see when engineers are clustered around something for instance, so that will tell you that you should scout and have a look.
One more thing for late game, is if you have a giant stack of novaxes like that (or the equivalent such as t3 or t4 arty), then the main goal is to just keep those alive and you'll win. Snipe the anti nukes with the novaxes, nuke it, that sort of thing.
Otherwise you did great! You were hard carrying the northern team, and they just stole the game away from you due to a few easily fixable mistakes.
P.S with a massive eco like that, you generally only need to match the enemy team in experimentals and stay defensive with them while protecting your game ending strategy (in this case, novaxes). It's similar to early game as well in team games, where you only really need just enough t1 and perhaps com upgrades to stay alive and hold your half of the map while hard ecoing back home. In lower ratings as long as you can eco up and balance your eco at the same time (spend at least 50% of your income on making more eco, unless the game will end in 3 minutes or less based on your scouting info), you will hard carry, like you almost did this game.

you played a solid game on your team part tho a bit more defensive turrets in key locastion to by time would have helped you a bit more from mass pushes and maybe walls to slow hard advances
Note that Vexy couldn't get his ships out of that pond because it wasn't pathable (deep enough).
but why did cruise missiles refused to launch? that was by far the bigger problem

Hi, I am InABlink this game was defiantly one of the most fun games I've ever played. Just because even though both teams made mistakes it was fairly balanced and the trades where good fun! It was even better because no one gave up and CTRL-K everyone just stuck it on both sides that made it a real good game in the end. Martin you where a pain for me the whole game gg dude!
Yes, it had some quite phases but it's an entertaining game and mistakes are a big part of it. Without those mistakes all games would look similar. Also, I really hate when lower players die and some pros take over (damn full share). Here, however, when players are around 1000 rating, they can't fully utilize the extra base, so killing someone does have an impact.

That was super Epic. I remember seeing the Scathis under construction and discarding it: "Game will be long over once it's ready". And it was the only thing capable of ending the game, and end it it did.
That fight was totally unpredictable. Seemed to turn several times.
I agree with Martian for mvp. At this level of skill, even if you have similar total mass, it is hard dealing with multiple enemy players at once.
Inablink should not be mvp. Even though he had the "winning piece" he totally abandoned his teammates several times. Also I don't think he would even had that at the end if not for the clutch save from Tutenhamoun.
Agreed that while InaBlink did close it out, he also undercut his teammates several times in the mid-game by bugging out of fights that he could have made a crucial difference in, particularly in the air, so I think I'd also go with Martian as MVP. His play was solid throughout and his economy strongly carried T1 through most of the game, even if he didn't quite pull it out in the end.
@@Vastin Better than Flesch at least, who totally missed two potential com kills. Tho tbf to him, he was still very actively fighting

For those thinking you may of seen this before, willow's Duality uploaded this match yesterday. Cast#215. Not a dig at Gyle as I am sure this was unintentional.
It's always interesting to see how casters with different styles cover the same game. Like that crazy 1v1 Setons that Gyle and Jagged casted a while back.

In relation to why BornToChill never buildt a quantum gateway, is likely because Seraphim are the only faction that don't actually have RAS/ARAS on their SACUs.

I called the Scathys unintentionally, earlier on I was like "man, they should really go for a scathys, that would put a lot of serious pressure on the other team." And low an behold, the Scathys put some serious pressure on the enemy team lol
Yellow almost lost them the game when he had 2 crabs able to kill Martian's commander, but seemingly just got up from his computer to go make a sandwich instead and left his crabs doing whatever they felt like.
That eastern shipyard started around 17:24. It's visible in the stream 18:31, operational 18:37, destroyed 25:56. The turnaround on the counter wasn't *that* quick.
an 8 minute turnaround in faf isn't bad considering the travel time and building tank

I have never played this game but for some reason its the perfect thing to study to. Keep them coming!!

These uploads always deserve the title of epic game. I really have no doubts that I would have given up three or four times over before they threw in the towel.
I think the logic in not going for the com kills is trying to kill infrastructure instead. In Fullshare games if you kill a Com it doesn't really accomplish too much except put all of their bases in a (presumably) more dangerous player. There's an argument to be made for cutting the team's APM and attention down though.
That argument mainly holds for games featuring teams with very low and very high rated players playing together. Not the case here.
The problem with that logic is times like when yellow had 2 crabs on Martian's commander, and didn't kill him. BornToChill was effectively out of the game and his Commander was compeletely out of position. Once Martian was dead it would have only been a few minutes before BornToChill followed because of his Commander's position.
I saw this game yesterday and it was epic then...and it's still epic now.

I have to say. This was the best battle ive seen. These joes were better than most pros. Not saying that to offend anyone. Saying it because it was action packed and got to see alot 9f air engagements, ground engagements. Even a few naval engagements. And was so hard to tell even at the ejd who was going to win.
I was hoping T1 took it because they had map control right at the start. But lost it early afterwards. Yellow player made the most of his "lock down" and went ape nuts on the building of decent units to contest.
So i have to say. This was a super enjoyable episode. And battles like this is quite few apart. They may have low scores and called out as joes. But they made the most of it. And made this more enjoyable than watching some pro episodes.

41:00 this runby kills my soul. I was shouting "MOVE! Look at your map!" at the screen and thats when I realised I was rooting for team 1. The biggest misplay for me though was martian having a loaded nuke sub and having SEVEN experimentals clustered right next to it and not firing the nuke. Absolute waste.

Not bagging a com when you have the upper advantage isn't an error when full share is on. problem with full share is that sniping a com doesn't always work in your favor.

As for MVP, it's either Brobey or InABlink. Martian massed and massed and massed, but didn't do much with his 1.3k income. He could have built almost everything, but he didn't, he amassed crabs and didn't use them properly.
I was really surprised he did not go with bugs and more air in general. He had such huge production and the other team was doing crabs. though its easy to talk when in observer mode

white focus on his side and completely ignoring his ally being annihilated, as well as yellow push into his base, was a horrible mistake
I feel like Brobey's telemaser could've seen more use. There were more than a few times where a couple spy planes here or there would've revealed an enemy ACU standing out by themself totally devoid of any defenses.
I usually play against RNGAI. It's a world of difference compared to Sorian. More active with it's commander, doesn't throw away small waves of units (not nearly as much anyways) more map presence, will actively reclaim mass fields.
Of course it still isn't really as good at making strategic decisions, but it's pretty decent. I'm a +- 800 rated Joe and if I were to 1v1 on a 10 by 10 map it'll probably win about 20% of the time, just because it's faster at (re)taking mexes across the map, and doesn't forget about macro while microing units. If it's a 20 by 20 map I'll probably lose a lot but I haven't tried.
It's insane how time stands still in this game... 30 minutes feels like a year...

blink also took down the sats earlier... so giving him mvp wouldn't be terrible for that reason either. The biggest issue, was he was donating mass early on.
Pretty crazy game
This is the type of games I love. It's an absolute epic on a scale that dwarfs Warhammer's siege of Terra. From squads of 5 titans emerging on the beaches, colossus being thrown as regular infantry, gigantic crabs. Pure epicness.

I don't think avoiding the com kills is an error, all you're doing killing coms early is doubling someone's income. People never really work as a team in these casts, so it's better to let them duplicate effort and move in opposing directions. Better to just cripple their economy and let human nature cause chaos until it's time to go in for the final kill.

What an awful and painful match to watch. Team 2 was horrible. They couldn't reclaim, think straight or even build smds while they had time... congrats to team 1 that took the chance :)
PLEASE use the split screen feature HEAPS MORE, worst comes to worst, it allows the viewers to see more action elsewhere

Jumping Jesus on a Pogo Stick Gyle. INABLINK CLEARLY IS THE MVP. Martian had twice the economy of his opponents and it was all given to him. He couldn't even wipe Vexy off of the map when he took out his base. He lost that to a freaking gunther installation. He was absolutely the WORST player in the game. Blink went up the right side and completely emasculated his opponent in the NE corner and also was instrumental in taking air control back throughout the game which had been quite clearly the strong point of team 1 for the vast majority of the game.
InaBlink carried his team like few before have and you give your MVP to the freaking potato of the game??????
This game waa filled with SO MUCH CARNAGE. So many clutch plays and plannings + SO many missplays. Either side coulve lost and won if they noticed certain things.
The game got sooo much better since the meta became full share...

Its a hard game to play when you can build anything you want, any time. You still have to pay for it though.
I don't recommend actually playing like this but perhaps try playing a game and only give build orders for things you have mass in the pool to build. Doing that helps you get an intuitive sense for what things cost and eventually you can manage to keep things running on a low negative number. Not that im a pro or anything.
I just know what helped me and that constantly being smart and thinking of a thing to build to stop or counter what they could do is what puts you in those -300 situations. When you see people make mistakes and think, oh i could have countered that with this. They probably did have the thought but also knew they could not afford to change production direction.
