tks for the great video. What a wonderful intro for newbies like me. Would you recommend entering the Open or Intermediate category as well, just for the experience, when you are there for the Novice tournament?
Thank you! There are side events you'd be able to enter, but generally you have to pick which main event you want to enter as the Open, Intermediate and Novice divisions will all be going on at the same time. Which means you wouldn't be able to play more than one. Cheers!
I was just curious if some people are particular about using their board vs yours or going a certain direction (clockwise , counter clockwise). Did that ever come up and do you just have to work it out or maybe roll for it? I know I would feel more comfortable playing on my big board that I am used to. I hope to do a tournament next year.
Some people are more particular about their board and directions. I usually just follow suit on what my opponent prefers. If I'm making a video I usually try to use my own setup and most people are very accommodating. Tournaments are great and well worth checking out. Cheers!
Yeah, the costs of tournaments add up fast. They’re definitely worth checking out if you can make it happen! Otherwise, finding a club near you might be a great idea. Many clubs do smaller tournaments and might be right up your alley. The club near me was $6 to enter and was a lot of fun! Cheers! 😃

I wish I could find a tournament for only $5.00 around Los Angeles! The lowest I've found was $50 in Vegas.
