- The rock epic "Love To Love" was released on U.F.O.'s sixth studio album, Lights Out, in the spring of 1977.
This 7+ minute song was just one of the great things about U.F.O.'s classic and critically acclaimed Lights Out album. It's just a seriously epic rock ballad, with some absolutely brilliant guitar work from Michael Schenker and Paul Raymond (rhythm).
I wanted to create videos for some of my favorite U.F.O. songs, and although I was already pretty far along with videos for two other U.F.O. tracks, I just couldn't get "Love To Love" out of my mind.....so I halted the other two and began work on it.
I wanted to work a couple of clips of the band performing into the song. Actually, there is only about 3 very brief clips used over and over. A few more clips would have helped, there were obvious spots that called for them, but I never got around to plugging them in.
I've worked as hard, or maybe even harder, on this song as on any of my previous videos.....and it never really cooperated and worked the way i had hoped. I struggled to make it find any cohesiveness. I achieved some eventually, but this was surely one of the most difficult videos I've ever attempted.
If you don't like it.......just close your eyes......and enjoy the tune.......cause that's one thing that is perfect! LOL!

Most underrated band in history, as far as the United States goes! How these guys weren’t as big as Sabbath and Zeppelin is totally mind blowing to me. Kicked ass and took names. Rest In Peace Pete Way and Paul Raymond.

SIR shenker is the reason I kicked my ass as a kid to be able to buy my first flying V. I broke my soul and fingers to the death, gave up friends, locked myself in for days studying and figuring out where he was coming from. 59 years later I am here in this point in time listening to Mr Shenker with tears in my eyes, blessed I never looked back. Love to love is the story of my life.

This is one of the top tunes of the latter half of the gargantuan 70's era, if not the top.
Have you familiarized yourself with Diamond Head? Their first 3 albums are like the perfect blend of UFO, Zeppelin, Purple and Queen.

Lola Flores Oh yeah, going to rock concerts 2 or 3 times a month, blotting and dotting (blotter or microdot), that was the life. going to school or working, buy your tickets, drugs and have enough for gas and T-shirts then do it all over again for next week's concert... general admission, 10,000+ fans rushing in to get the best seat, until the Who concert in Cincy that changed all that. No more GA concerts, they used to be wild free-for-all events. Even the bands played longer, today they have a tight schedule and have to fly in, play and leave for the next city. It all became a big business... They can take away the fun but cannot take away the memories!!!

If I do update it I try and keep much of the same elements in place....and just in case I usually leave the original up as well. Thanks for the very kind words!!!!!!

Sad to think so many people have never heard this song. One of the greatest tunes I've ever heard.
Out-FUCKING-standing. I had totally forgotten about this masterpiece of musical craftsmanship. It brings back recollections of good times, and bad times, and times of love, and times of sorrow, but I wouldn't trade them for anything out of the last 30 years.
Music was such a massive part of so many lives in the decades of the 60's through the 80's.

Even though this song is over 8 minutes, somehow it just doesn't feel like it. I could listen to it over and over and never be aware of the length. Surely, this is one of the most underrated masterpieces in all of rock & roll.

They were brilliant days. My mates and I lived in oxfordshire and got into UFO in 1973. They played the Marquee in '76 three of us got tickets( we were 16 or so) and then hitch hiked to London to see the best concert id seen in years. I was deaf for a week, Schenker trod on my hand we were so close to the stage and someone spilled beer down my coat, but we were happy. Saw them many times after that and now I recall them as one of the greatest bands the world never knew. Cheers for responding

This has always been one of the MANY Micheal Schenker great solos out there for anyone who LOVES soulful melodic heartfelt guitar playing. Michael has always transported me to some of the most incredible places that I've ever been to with his music. Lipstick Traces is a great little solo song that he does that is fantastic. Thank you for this & it's a great video also.

Brings back so many memories for me :) My ex hubby toured as a sound engineer for a local band called Fist who were the support on the tour for this album. I got to know them well and watched them from the side of the stage and the sound engineers desk over many concerts and this was my all time fave track...Thank you
