1991 represent indeed, literally thinking the exact same thing. These guys were always a bit more bubble gum than I usually like, but man, how can you hate motion city soundtrack?
"I'm on fire and now I think I'm ready to bust a move / Check it out I'm rockin' steady to the beat in my head" Nobody writes lyrics quite like MCS. Awesome.
I heard this song approximately ONE time on 92.3 K-Rock and didn't hear it again until about a year later when Fuse started playing it. All I remembered was it had a cool synth lead and the lyrics "bust a move". They never played it again
This is almost ten years ago....I'm ten years older then when I met the lead singer at Warped Tour Denver 2007 asking what inspired him to write his songs. Now I'm a post-graduate singsong-writer-graduate-stressed piece of a million ...pieces of all other talented human beings
i first heard this song in 2003, and it was my favorite song. my dad threw away the CD it was on because he didn't approve of certain song names (super christian, hates everything that isn't super christian) 10 YEARS LATER I HAVE FINALLY FOUND IT AGAIN
I absolutely love MCS. I first heard them of them when I started high school, got to see them in concert in college, and now that I'm married and have a baby, I'll be there front and center tomorrow seeing them again! They'll always be a part of my life.
use to listen to mcs back when i was at school prob about 5+ years ago. listened to the old ablum again and this song just puts me in a good mood and a smile always comes in the first 5seconds
Haha :3 Well, the touch of him was pretty amazing. And his hair is even better and more adorable! And i know, Justin is so nice, like i asked him for a hug and he was like "For sure." I love him to much for my own good, you really do have to see him live though! He's so nice and sweet and just plain awesome!
the difference in them live and on their album, is honestly astounding. i heard them for the first time when i went to see taking back sunday and they were amazing but this doesnt. even compare
Motion City Soundrack are so good! Chill to the max kiddies! The lyrics are great! And the moogs and keyboards along with bass guitar and drums sounds great.
My sister showed me this song when I was like 10. I'm 15 and I just found it again. I loved this song so much for like a year or two but all of a sudden I'm listening to this song and I'm literally sweating. I just read over the lyrics again and this shit explains my life
I've been listening to these guys so much lately. Especially "Hold me down". There stuff seems sad in a way but makes me feel good I don't know why. The title is amazing though. The future does scare many people including myself.
I used to listen to this song while playing WoW. It's been like 5 years since then and everytime i listen to this i picture myself grinding through nagrand.
jesus christ, this video is 13 years old and only 2M! I come back watching all MCS Video because they announce a comeback show next year! and the future still freaks me out!
I haven't seen watched this video since 2012, but the song has played in my head nearly every day. I miss you, Xaxlan. We've gotta meet up next time I'm out your way.
I agree 145% with that statement. That wasn't that long ago for me (I'm 18), and I really could NOT understand why everyone was so in love with all that...rap and hip-hop and whatnot. In my opinion, a huge part of "good" music is the lyrics. MCS doesn't just spew swears and metaphors for sex. They don't rely on back-beats and auto-tune (Justin sounds like that naturally!). All in all, they have substance--something that too many "mainstream" bands lack. LOVE THEM!
I remember listening to this back in high school and not giving a shit. I'm 23 now and... the future fucking freaks me out.
same :,D
1991 representttt
1991 represent indeed, literally thinking the exact same thing. These guys were always a bit more bubble gum than I usually like, but man, how can you hate motion city soundtrack?
Haha same here!!

"I'm on fire and now I think I'm ready to bust a move / Check it out I'm rockin' steady to the beat in my head"
Nobody writes lyrics quite like MCS. Awesome.
I remember listening to this when I was a teenager, back when fuse played good music. Now I'm 26 years old. The future freaks me out.

This is almost ten years ago....I'm ten years older then when I met the lead singer at Warped Tour Denver 2007 asking what inspired him to write his songs. Now I'm a post-graduate singsong-writer-graduate-stressed piece of a million ...pieces of all other talented human beings

LOVE THEM!
