    I’ve handed a stock blue bugout and a kershaw iridium to probably 5 or 6 people now and every single person thinks the iridium is the nicer knife by far. My uninitiated buddy said that the iridium feels and looks like a premium knife. Kershaw is really knocking out the park these days. Love my bugouts, but I t’s really hard to justify the pricetag of the the s30v bugout.
    Great video brotha

      Thanks man I appreciate the support. Kershaw has done an awesome job with the duralock and honestly the cheaper Heist model with plastic handles seemed to have a better action when I got to hold in store. Might be worth checking out especially for "non knife" guys. Thanks for watching!

      I haven't ever owned one or used one and I have seen some questionable videos relating to the heat treat of their magnacut steel. As soon as I get one on sale in the next few weeks I might have to add it to the list! Thanks for the comment!

    The CJRB Pyrite Lite is the real Bugout killer if you aren't completely strict about weight. It weighs an ounce more than the standard Bugout, but that's because it has full liners which makes it much more sturdy. However, the Pyrite Lite is also only 30 bucks currently.

    The problem with the Case Marilla and Kinzua is that they aren’t great cutters…way too thick on blade stock.. and they run the steel really soft. They are great designs though!

    The Mini-Psyops, Kershaw Bel-Air, and the Hogue Decka??? Any three of those is a better choice than the Bug Out but yet not talked about? 🤔😔

    • @DXSharpening
      @DXSharpening  6 дней назад

      Not familiar with the Mini-Psyops, I forgot the Bel-Air model in particular but I did mention some of the other nice Kershaw Duralock knives, and the Deka has some issues that I've seen online with poor heat treat of their steel & I haven't personally owned/used one. Definitely will check out the Mini-Psyops though as I haven't ever heard of it. Thanks for the comment!

    I'm not a Bugout or crossbar lock fan, but I do kinda like the bailout. The Al/m4 version is one of my go-to beaters.

      The Bailout is a very well made knife and I enjoyed using it, the ergonomics just weren't for me. It felt a little weird when I went to close it when compared to knives with thicker/wider scales but that doesn't mean it isn't a great alternative. Thanks for watching!

      Couldn't agree more about the handle. I don't understand the current fad with making handles as thin as possible. It's sacrificing almost all in hand comfort, to make it pocket a tiny bit better.
      The Bailout is the last thin handle knife I own, and i really only keep it around because the m4 in my example) is so well done.
      Under .40" thick is pretty much a non-starter for me, and under .45" has to be something special for me to really like it. I prefer .50" for slabs, or .55-60" for contoured handles.

    The magnacut hogue deka should have made the list based simply on value over the bugout.

      Lots of people have recommended the deka, I have not owned or used one and I have seen lots of questionable videos regarding it's heat treat. If I end up getting my hands on one and can see for myself I would happily add it, but I'm hesitant to recommend something that I don't have experience with and I have seen some pretty major negatives with. What about the cold steel American lawman s35vn steel, it's about 105 bucks. Triad lock is very very strong. I don't trust the Omega springs with Benchmade. They broke in my bug out before I fixed it and then I sold it last month. I got the super freak in m4 and I like it but I just don't trust the Omega springs. I thought I was over it. I like to fidget and I don't feel like fixing Omega springs again so I may sell it
