    Thanks for the video. Good job. I just completed a 3/1 SST Readylift install over this past weekend myself on my 2021 Tundra. Your video was a great help in preparations.
    Tip to the DIY folks... have a good jack. It helps to have a n extra small jack or two, plus good ratcheting straps to help get the lower arm back up and in place. also it was helpful to get the whole sway arm off while doing the front spacers (put it back on last when all done). On the rear, make sure you get the rear jacked up 5-6 inches to leave room to drop the axel. Good tips to know when you are working the install in your driveway. An extra set of hands is helpful at times, though I was able to complete by myself. It took every bit of 7 hours from start to finish. Take your time and be safe.

    Good job bro. You need to jack up the lower control arm to line up the hole and reinstall the bolt. It shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes. At around 100k, I installed Bilstein 4600’s and they were way to bouncy from the get go. At 150k I installed Bilstein 5100’s which are much firmer and even has height adjustment. I highly recommend the 5100’s once your 4600’s wear out. You can take your riser blocks off too.

      It may be a tiny bit stiffer up front but very slight. I have really enjoyed the set up. The person you spoke to may only recommend a 2" in the front if you aren't doing rear spacers to give the truck the right look. I did 3 in the front and 1 in the back so at the end of the day it'd look the same lol. If your goal is to put bigger tires check out customoffsets.com and search the wheel and tire size you want for your truck and you can see what size lifts/leveling kits guys used to fit that particular set up. • @kccreations5945
      @kccreations5945  3 года назад

      Hey Tim! Yes I did loosen them a little bit. That portion starts at 3:38 in the video if that helps! It's definitely tough because they are torqued at like 120 ft. lbs so they are hard to loosen but just make a mark on how they are aligned then loosen them slightly. Then once you are done you can realign them and then take it to get a proper alignment asap. I get mine done at Firestone because you pay $180 and you get lifetime alignments for free after that. Hope this helps!

    • @timvolcheck6445
      @timvolcheck6445 3 года назад

      Thanks for the reply. I missed that somehow in the video. I currently have a leveling spacer in there and wanted to simply switch coil overs (new as the original have 149,000 mikes on them), so didn’t want to mess the alignment up on it. Does the thing you marked actually rotate and then while tightening the bolt, you just hold on to it so it doesn’t rotate/ move. I’m guessing you have to loosen each side separately as I don’t think it’s a bolt that goes all the way through with a nut on the other side? Or is it? If you can take me through the process in detail then I can do this job and not take it in. FYI they want $400 to install the coil overs here in the Midwest. I imagine it probably takes them 45 minutes of actual time to do it.

    • @kccreations5945
      @kccreations5945  3 года назад

      @@timvolcheck6445 No problem man. That''ll be a good upgrade for sure! It will rotate if you don't hang onto it because it is a bolt that comes through with a nut on the other side. So you can loosen it a little bit without it moving but in order for the lower control arm to drop enough you'll likely loosen it quite a bit and the cam piece will move which is why it's important to mark where it sits originally. It's kind of tedious trying to get it tight while not letting it move but just be patient and you'll be able to get it close to where it was before you took it off.

    • @Cruz0604

    • @kccreations5945
      @kccreations5945  2 года назад +1

      Yes an alignment is a must after doing this since we loosened the lower and upper control arm bolts which have a cam on them for alignment. So I used a paintpen/sharpie to mark where they were initially and tried to get them close when I reinstalled, but the new height throws it off a bit as well. So better to get an alignment than ruin expensive tires ya know?! Also at Firestone if you buy the lifetime alignment it's like $200 and a one time alignment is like $100ish so it's worth it to just do the lifetime alignment and get it done each year.

I plan on following your great example and would really like to talk at you for some pointers however I don't know how to contact you.
