    Same torque specs I use. LOL I try to use two to three umps when its suspension bolts. But 90+ lbs on the torque wrench works too. I just installed a Rough Country (RC) 2.5" - 3" level in front of my 1794. I went with all the shims and that put me way high. After contacting RC they said take all the shims out and should be level, nope! I still have to install a 1.5" block for the rear. So I just got the blocks for the rear and can't wait to install. Hopefully it'll be close to level or else I'll have to install shim by shim in front to level. Of course I'm planning on an alignment but not until after upgrading to 33" tires. Thanks for the heads up videos.

    Nice video thanks. How is the ride for daily use and on bumpy surfaces? I see a lot of lift videos but no one talks about the ride after the lift. I really want to level out my 4x4 DC, but I don’t want to comprise the factory ride with squeaky noises and a harsh ride from the lift.

    So if you have 3 inch spacer on the front , I heard that stock shocks extend to much, now my question is would adding bilstein 5100 help this ? because it can be adjusted from o.85 to 2.5 inches. Thanks

  • @f5fstop
    @f5fstop 3 месяца назад

    You do not have to jack up the rear. Leave vehicle on the tires, slide under, remove the four nuts from plate, remove bottom shock mounting bolt, remove the plate, place jack with a piece of wood under the spring, just in front of the spring perch and jack up high enough to place the spacer in place, lower jack, making sure pin and hole align. Install new u-bolts, plate and nuts. Torque to spec. Replace bottom shock bolt...torque.
    The tire on the ground will also help keep the axle in the correct position.
    Possibly, may not work on a non 4x4 that already has some clearance; or if the person is too fat.

    • @kccreations5945
      @kccreations5945  3 месяца назад +1

      Also an option, but hey if you gotta get the jack out anyway might as well give yourself some room!

    Hey man, I had the same problem with my 07 tundra after I installed the 3" front leveling kit, none of the measurements matched up though it was on level ground with equal tire pressure and all new shocks if that makes a difference, must be a tundra thing. I am about to install the 1" rear leveling blocks so thank you for the awesome video!!

      @@kccreations5945 So I finally installed mine today and I think its worth noting the nuts that come with ready lift kit are actually 21mm vrs the stock nuts which are 19mm. Luckily I had a 21mm but not everyone does. Also the blocks were about 1/2" off from the pin coming down from the leaf springs when seated in the axel but once I raised the axel it forced the block in place, thought summit had sent me the wrong part once again. Thanks again for the great video man, it was a big help!! Lastly I measured my friends F-250s height all around and it was off just like our tundras, must be a weight distribution thing...

    The driver side will sit lower on the Tundra due to the fuel tank being on the driver side. There is a company by the name of
    "Coachbuilder" who make a shim to solve this issue. It's very inexpensive and makes the truck level from side to side.

    How tall of a Jack stand do you need to raise the backend? I think I need to invest in a taller set of stands. Did you raise truck with Jack under rear differential or by the frame?

    • @kccreations5945
      @kccreations5945  3 года назад +2

      I need taller ones too since I only have ones for smaller vehicles. I used a jack with a block of wood on top of it to jack the truck up from the differential. And then used my jack stands on the frame kind of close to the center of the truck so they would reach for when I needed to lower the axel down to put in the spacer block.

    • @kccreations5945
      @kccreations5945  3 года назад +2

      Hey Randall! Yes I did get an aligment afterwards since I adjusted the lower cam bolts on the lower control arm. And even with marking where they were when I took it in for the alignment he said it was way off still so definitely factor that into your budget! I got mine done at Firestone since they offer a lifetime free alignment after you pay $180 for the first one. Then the rest are free. So that was nice. Thanks for watching!
