    Just for a quick recap
    1. You stand up for others
    2. You're a natural born leader
    3. You are a great mediator
    4. You think things through
    5. You always tell the truth
    6. You're an active listener
    7. You're fiercely independent
    8. You want meaningful relationships

      1. Eh, I guess.
      2. Not a leader, not the most confident but I can help with things.
      3. Not a mediator. I like to stay out of drama most of the time, I'll knock something's on the head, especially if it's effecting me but I prefer to stay out of trouble and let people work through their own things. I draw the line at bullying tho, see point 1.
      4. I suppose. Might think too much and do too little at times.
      5. No. I am not afraid to lie or withhold the truth. Maybe that's me being honest lol.
      6. Yeh, I prefer to listen than talk. I am not a big talker anyway.
      7. Ha yeh. I prefer to keep to myself.
      8. Yeh, I keep very few friends, I don't mind not having loose or casual friendships but it's easier to invest in someone who wants to be close because I otherwise like to just keep to myself.
      So am I a HSP lol.. 😂

    • @Evokun
      @Evokun 4 года назад +10

      1. Yea, depends on who the person is
      2. Now leading my family's business. Not very good at it though.
      3. I can only give my own advice and inputs if they come to me personally one on one. I don't think I'm great.
      4. Oh definitely. It can take me days or weeks. My dad warned me it might lead me to being ill though.
      5. I was too honest once and it destroyed my relationship. It's still hard for me to lie and rather tell the truths though.
      6. Yes. I have many friends that told me that before.
      7. Not at all. But I do make my own decisions and rarely regret them.
      8. Yes. With the current life I'm leading it's almost impossible to find them.

the reason i don't hate confrontation is because i've always hated it when people started problems and they never solve it and would rather wish it to go away than do something to resolve it. (especially my parents) which resulted in me always confronting the issues i have at hand rather than ignoring them.

I think that also. And I learned that don't beg to much it can tear you down, I was once told from someone to look, wait and be surprised. Besides...soul mates always come for you at the right time!...right? If it feels hard you can tell a friend or family member about how you feel about all this! Don't be scared to.

I’m so impressed with the accuracy of this video describing my personality. I think it’s confusing for others to see that I am vulnerable and also very strong. I also have, over the years, lost many friends until I have had only a small group of genuine people I adore. I am a deep thinker for sure, and chose my career because I could mediate the darker angels in people. I appreciate this video for making me feel understood :)

That's the hard part for me.. I don't feel satisfied with most friend groups even when the circumstances seem ideal.. it has to be just right for me to see potential with anybody, since I don't think the general public will come to rely on me/want my presence specially in their lives.. How is it that people are so bonded I'm larger friend groups, in a sweet and authentic way, when it means there's too many members to keep track of and look after?

Loosing friends is a big trait! Of this because we are confident and friendly so make easy friendships but we don't stand for bull so when see it in people we either call it out or shut down towards them. The best part is that we eventually get a genuine pool of people 🙂 it's a great filter. Seems like a curse at the time lol.

Me too. My mom and some of my friends and even complete strangers seem to take my "strength" as a threat, and they'll make cheap shots at me because they think I have a lot of confidence. I don't think they realize that often, I just need a little encouragement, even if it doesn't seem like it. I remember one day I was feeling really bad, but my mom made a concerted effort to 'knock the chip off my shoulder' after I got home from school. It hurts to be depressed and successfu at the same time. There's usually nobody to talk to about it.

I was always told I was a sensitive person but was strong mentally.
I never really believed all the hype I received.
I just wanted to fit in with the normal people, you know the kids who were assigned to groups rather than being the leader of a group. No matter how much I wanted to be an extra I was frequently pushed into the leadership roles.
I was assigned the classroom tutor because I was far ahead and had a better grasp of the information than the rest of the class.
To me I was just doing my work quietly, while others saw me a some sort of guru or genius so I was voted into the position.
I was Skeptical and reluctant but as I helped others it felt good to help and be a support system for others and I eventually enjoyed the position assigned to me.
People came to me for help because they weren't afraid that I would talk down on them for that or afraid I would shame them.
Being a leader still kinda intimidated me even with the forced lead title and I felt like I wasnt good enough.
I was always praised by my peers, you're such a good leader, you're so easy to follow, you're so good at explaining.
Even though I didnt see them in myself at the time.
Frankly I though I was a failure who couldn't do anything.
I.didnt believe I had all the skills everyone is saying I have and are praising me for.
I thought I was just an average guy.
But now I know I'm just depressed, with a negative outlook about everything about myself.
I didnt realize I had everything people said I did.
I just downplayed it as common knowledge, sense, and ideology.
I didnt need to be special.
This video reassures what everyone was saying about me because I've heard people say this to me.plenty of times.
And its scary that I'm this gifted and don't know what to do with them next.

I wanna work back to my old self

    • @clomyst
      @clomyst 4 года назад +18

You already are. Your soul is the same as it was then. I also thought i was confident before and not now. But the moment you realize that you are only getting stronger than ever before, you'll open your potential. So never hold yourself back. Confidence os just a perception aboit yourself. How others perceive you is shaped by your perception of yourself. Recently my friend said she wishes she has my confidence. Shocking. But i gained it back somehow. This implies that you're always gonna be that same amazing person. So work hard and don't let yourself down. Your old self may look special to you, but you need to work towards your new better self because that is gonna be the best. Imagine, the moment those toxic people are out of your life you'll automatically shine again. Becuase if you were confident once, you're confident forever (i made that up) You'll find your way, you are not lost forever. Where there's a will, there's a way.

This is the best description of my spirit!!! I know I am more on the sensitive side. But in trying to find videos that describe my sensitivity and concurrent strength, I came across videos that only discuss HSP or Empaths that are way on the left. I’ve noticed from a young age that while I’m higher on the sensitivity scale, I’ve had a concurrent amount of strength. Sensitivity has a connotation of weakness and at least for me that’s never applied as I’ve always had an extra sense of fortitude.
All of these on the list fit me like a glove!!! I am a mediator and arbiter of justice but, simultaneously I have no problem fiercely standing up for people being treated poorly. I love empathetic leading (servant leadership), but I can also take a back seat. I am insanely independent and work best by myself and simultaneously in love with building deep connections with people! It’s such a juxtaposition!!!
I’m a Scorpio so maybe that’s why while I am deeply sensitive, I’m a take no prisoners dude when it comes to narcissistic and toxic a$6holes!!!

Thank you so much for this video! I always doubted if I truly was a HSP because I am so extroverted and people oriented, I have never been more identified with a video!

Iam an hsp, even so i dont believe IAM " a good Person" .
I feel many comments concerning hsp, Not only in This Video, are very prideful, AS If hsp's are better people. From my experience, i can Tell you , WE are No better than anybody Else and Our motives are often Not AS selfless AS WE Like Others to believe.
    Thats to The Point:
    Always telling The truth.
But IAM Sure each one of US IS very loveable💃😘♥️🌹

Well HSP is a personality trait, so yeah you're right it doesn't automatically make you a good person. However, people with HSP often get called out for being sensitive and over reactive, and that is where I think these comments come from, its empowering to finally see this trait as a positive thing in your life after countless times of being scolded for it.

yeah, your comment suits me. I am a HSP with strong personality and i also have traits of female narcissism as well (the part of "you know exactly what you want and work for it" fit me well. However, since being aware of that trait I usually spot if i have thoughts related to narcissism and change them if they are coming from there. So yeah, being the good, empathic person who ppl sometimes look up to and who listenes and may even resolve conflict also feeds my inner low self esteem (which causes narcissistic feelings). I am no person to meanly manipulate people to get an advantage from them, theough. Way too empathetic for that. It is a funny mix. 😁
And i hope with ongoing therapy i will be able to further reduce my low self esteem so the narcissistic feelings won't be as strong.

recognizing the things that differentiate us is not prideful... it is acknowledgment of our uniqueness... you have a right to your opinion, but it is a little self-righteous...

Reiko Tamura I agree they can be over reactive. I feel like since HSPs feel so deeply, it also means they react deeply to anger. Which makes sense to me when I get angry. It gets so bad that I have no choice but to either walk away and calm down, throw something, or scream. I can’t control how angry I get. But at least it makes sense to me now why I get so angry at the stupidest of things

Thank you so much for explaining this. I have just spent 4 days trying to recover from a situation where I had to stand up for myself and what I think is right. Now I know why I am assertive but it takes a toll afterwards. I go over it all in my head, the effect I might have had on others at the meeting, was I too passionate? Etc etc. It all makes sense now. I feel empowered.

Talking about hsp.. I teared up directly when the first point was mentioned. It was mostly happiness, thinking of what I managed to become after almost ten years of various diagnosis, medications, clinics, fear and self hate, often thinking everything was somehow my fault.
Overcoming everything and being stronger than ever, with just my self reflecting and self care.
No doctor or medicine was ever able to help me as I did myself in about 2 years.
Even now I tend to feel shame, thinking of sharing this and maybe coming over as arrogant, but every day I realize more and more that I don't need to feel ashamed of what I accomplished with 21 years old, when the majority of people can't get over their patterns and stories they tell themselves everyday, which makes them feel miserable.

Is having a strong personality, alongside being a HSP, meant to be so lonely? I feel like I do everything according to my beliefs, yet I feel like I'm ostracized for them at times. Lost my job because my workplace wasn't distancing or putting measures into place to protect us, brought it up and ended up jobless. That's what _"justice"_ is, expecting the world to do right, when in reality, we all make due with what's left of this mess.

I learned a lot from this and realized I can relate because I'm actually an HSP. I just didn't notice it back then because people always told me I have a strong personality. I didn't know that strength and sensitivity could go hand-in-hand so this video is really helpful.
