I was so happy when Cooper called the dog “Dogmeat” I was waiting for someone to say it. And at the end of episode 3 when “I don’t want to set the world on fire” played out.
I love that Lucy's arc didn't end with her becoming all badass over the top killer. The wasteland changes people but it didn't change her. She learned a lot and adapted but was still true to herself. She also wasn't some OP Mary Sue and her abilities were in line with her experiences in the vault. Very refreshing.
Don't understand why people was complaining about this series ignoring Fallout New Vegas canon. Mr. House appears in the flashbacks, there's New Vegas NCR ranger helmets and even New Vegas itself at the end. Little change might exists, even in the future, but at least Fallout New Vegas worldbuilding is very well recognized.

Because the references to Fallout New Vegas are mostly esthetic and the canon is severely ignored or downright retconned. The most grievous is that in the series Shady Sands is nuked and the NCR destroyed in a date that is chronologically before the events of the game, when the NCR is at the peak of its power, stretches from Oregon to Mexico, Shady Sands is one of its many cities/towns, it stands as the NCR capital, where the government resides and president Kimball is touring the frontlines at Hoover Dam before Caesar's Legion attacks. Also, the series shows the relatively powerful factions of Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave. In FNV the BoS was a remnant of its former glory, sealed and hidden in bunkers, fighting for its very survival and not in plain sight in above ground airfields with vertibirds flying around to towns and carelessly moving people and equipment. The Enclave in the West is in an even worse position, in FNV it's by all means a destroyed faction with only a bunker with a bunch of old guys remaining, but the series portrays the Enclave very differently.

Am I the only one that didn't think of Die Hard everytime I heard "Lucy McLean"?? She looks super familiar as well. BTW Goggins is a super underrated actor. Hands down my favorite character. Hope they focus more on him.
The silhouette in the Vault-tec meeting room was bothering me too. Now when i stopped the video to look at him i got an idea. Maybe its the actual US president ? This can explain everything! Remember that in the news at the Bday party they said the president is missing. How confident she was in the bombs dropping. The US government hired Vault tec, but that was just a front for money laundering to fund the enclave and conquer the whole planet after the apocalypse.
No mention of how they changed the lore regarding who started the war. In Fallout 4 it's clearly established that the Chinese attacked first. The captain of the submarine tell about how he and several other were ordered into positions around the coast and were ordered to fire. Not only does he not state this was a reaction to an attack, he also says it all in a way that implies thsy were the aggressors, and that he was a part of the first wave of attack. It's true that it had been speculated for a long time who had launched first, but in Fallout 4 it's made pretty clear and definitive that it was China. He laments launching the attack and starting it all. And it's not a decision you make in-game so they have to choose the canon version, it's established fact/lore about what happened before AND outside of your control. This is either a retcon or they need to later on clarify that Vault-Tec WANTED to start it (or that it was just a contingency in case of peace), but that the Chinese did it first.
The only thing that bothers me a lot about the plot is at the end where they made the New California Republic seems like the "good guys". It is more complex and nuances in the game (like their crazy expansionism, forcing other communities to pay tax for their "protection" after, hiring raiders to murder, etc.) and all factions are grey. Moldaver told Lucy the truth but how did Lucy suddenly switch? Moldaver led a bunch of raiders attacked Vault 33 and killed a bunch of friends and even maybe families/relatives of Lucy. And her dad never treated her poor once in front of her. But still with all that she just forgot how bad Moldaver was and switch side to her now? It doesnt feel natural and forced because the message of the show now is "capitalism is bad".
The show was great. I tried getting into the games back then my cousin was a huge fan of this game series. But I just couldn't get into it. But the show did a great job in my opinion. Could someone explain to me why the chick with the razor blade boot and Thadeus didn't just use a stimpack to heal their injuries? I like the show, never played the game, BUT the relationship between Maximus and Lucy is really forced and he makes a lot of really dumb and psychopathic decisions. Why does Goggins use a thick accent when playing the ghoul..or is that just part of his survival strategy? But yeah, Lucy is alright..her eyes are almost distractingly big though..are they being enhanced, Goggins steals the show, pacing is good, and I think most of all I like the design, analog tech..or semi-steampunk 50's style and music etc. I mean once you have that then as long as you don't screw the story up and the characters are somewhat likable, you're golden. I do fear it will suffer the same fate as Westworld..but then again I've never played the game or read the story. I was worried it would be like the walking dead or y: the last man..but it's way better than that garbage. I'd really like the show to explain how all the meds and drugs and diseases and tech work and how and when these advancements were achieved. Plenty of time for that though.
How can you explain the ending if you don’t even know the Ghouls motives, especially since it’s so simple? 🤷♂️ He’s a bounty hunter, there’s a bounty. It’s that simple.😁
The lore in the video games and this show are kind of equal EXCEPT it was China who launched the Nukes and caused chaos. But maybe we'll see or not. So far excellent first season!
The show is entertaining but that maximus character is a low down dirty coward and any little rat that can watch a knight die without helping him just to covet and get his suit is a real snake , then when faced with death himself he begged like a little girl ... that turned me off that character , gutlessness and greed are not character traits hollywierd no matter how much you wish it were so. 😂😂
I was cool with the show and then they had to throw a hint of lesbo between mal and rose. They went the whole f-ing show, and boom just had to sprinkle some nonsense in there. But awesome show otherwise
@@jimbo9208 3.7/5 is what I gave it. Not really great to be honest; lackluster dialogue, okay plot, plot holes galore. But on a positive note, the costumes, the props, the locations/scenery is all fantastic and it's what saved it(the cast is good too). They were banking off of pure nostalgia and it shows.
The mysterious city? That's New Vegas. The sinister ideas the corporate heads had for vault experiments? Every single one mentioned in the show actually happened in the game if you read system logs and play holotapes throughout the games. The entire series is VERY lore friendly.
Invincible was good but was disappointed with the ending season finale. Therefore I think fallout one best show of 2024 besides maybe power book 2 coming out soon. So no House (president of Rob-Co) mention at New Vegas shot, no discussion about how a soldier became a Knight without approval of the council... Basically, no ending explanation, just obvious things stated.
My guess would be General Chase (seen in Operation Anchorage DLC in Fallout 3). Not only was he a top General in the U.S. military at the time the bombs were dropped, he also had his own R&D company specialising in bio-medical research (he helped Dr. Braun set up his simulation in vault 112) so he would have a pretty big reason to be in that room with representatives from West-Tek, Big Mountain, Repconn and RobCo. He was also the person pushing for Liberty Prime to become operational before the bombs fell too. Presumably, that meeting with Barb and Bud must have taken place before RobCo bought Repconn?
What did you think of the ending to Season 1?
Why do you even care? Your site bashed the series when you gave it a 4 out of 10.

Me personaly I would've shown a desert ranger/ veteran ranger apearing over the hill
she’s prob a synthe
why is no one mentioning Dane's gender?
How can you explain the ending if you don’t even know the Ghouls motives, especially since it’s so simple? 🤷♂️ He’s a bounty hunter, there’s a bounty. It’s that simple.😁
New freaking Vegas baby!!!!!
The lore in the video games and this show are kind of equal EXCEPT it was China who launched the Nukes and caused chaos. But maybe we'll see or not. So far excellent first season!
Not a recipe the fuel
did you make all those wrong statements on purpose?
Nothing new to me, but a nice display of important aspects of it. 🌞
I hope they leave LA in season 2.
If it were up to me they'd have adventures all over the world.
I feel a lot of confusion here. Maybe you should play the games before assuming stuff about a tv show which is based on them.
This, like many other shows, just makes me loathe sapiens even more.
Get the details right. Pissing off a lot of new Vegas players
We know exactly why the girl wanted it so you making false insertions where there wasn't any
New Vegas
Who writes this shit? Why should I watch if Looper isn’t going to deliver facts?
God bless the Enclave!
There is a lot wrong with this video. Disappointing.
Less “Dane” in season 2. Ain’t fooling anybody 👩
They cooked haters cry more
This entire video you said so many incorrect things it just made me angry the entire video 😂
There is just so much wrong with this video...
movies often underestimate details for instance in this series where the electricity come from and are there people maintaining the power company
There was not a single glitch or load screen. Trash show
Dumb show full of bad acting .
I was cool with the show and then they had to throw a hint of lesbo between mal and rose. They went the whole f-ing show, and boom just had to sprinkle some nonsense in there. But awesome show otherwise
That Brain is Joe Biden
Don't bother it's wasn't worth wasting time over. It was obvious from the beginning. It's a worn out plot.
what are you talking about it was great not better than the video games but a good adaption?
It honestly wasn’t that bad
I have never seen this
@@jimbo9208 3.7/5 is what I gave it. Not really great to be honest; lackluster dialogue, okay plot, plot holes galore. But on a positive note, the costumes, the props, the locations/scenery is all fantastic and it's what saved it(the cast is good too). They were banking off of pure nostalgia and it shows.
Never played the games, so it was great
If it turns out that Lucy’s mom was a lesbian then not only do I understand the Hank blowing up shady sands but I will now route for him.
Worst breakdown ever can tell you know nothing of the universe
The ghoul reminds me of the man in black in westworld
The mysterious city? That's New Vegas. The sinister ideas the corporate heads had for vault experiments? Every single one mentioned in the show actually happened in the game if you read system logs and play holotapes throughout the games. The entire series is VERY lore friendly.
So far, best from 2024
You watch invincible?
@@zehzugreen6913 yes, but its 1st season is from 2021
@@zehzugreen6913 Invincible and Fallout neck and neck. But being it's first season gotta give the edge to Fallout.
Invincible was good but was disappointed with the ending season finale. Therefore I think fallout one best show of 2024 besides maybe power book 2 coming out soon. I usually don’t like movie based movie/tv show. Fallout did surprisingly well with the story I think the more seasons we have the greater it will be
I believe somehow you forgot Shogun.
I loved the show and I just downloaded fallout 76 .. I’m just so tired of all these shows being 8 and 10 episodes and you gotta wait 2 years for the next season ..back in the day shows were at least 25 episodes 😩
I always been a huge fallout fan. I remember growing up, I wished that I could have lived in this world. The older I get, the wiser, with a family now, and the world we we live.. This show gives me the chills.
Great show, but I don’t want to make my bed. Haha
So no House (president of Rob-Co) mention at New Vegas shot, no discussion about how a soldier became a Knight without approval of the council...
Basically, no ending explanation, just obvious things stated.
Who was that figure looking down on barb during the vault-tec meeting?
So nobody is gonna talk about the fact that Lucy McClain's REAL father is John McClain. A detective from the NYPD. So cool that shes in this.
Я думала что одна такая, кто вспомнила героя Брюса Уиллиса
