      @@elseby it's complicated now compare to her last season. Different people different environment. We already seen winner came from EoE last year. If she return to the game she need to pull another impressive move to beat others' games especially Tony without becoming somebody's goat. I saw Tina on the thumbnail and I will say one thing. Tina is gravely underrated and underappreciated. She played an excellent game in Season 2. Very clean game. She also knows what it is like to be a winner, a first boot and to come just short of Final Tribal Council (She came 4th on the first Blood vs Water season). I would have also liked to see her back for Season 40 considering that she was the first female to win Survivor.

      Haha funny but srsly Natalie white did have a very flashy when she orchestrated Erik’s blindside at the merge scaring Russell into wasting his idol and flushing it. This caused a domino affect in Galu as they all got voted out one by one w/o having to lift a finger or get any blood on her hands, plus she somehow got Erik to campaign for her at the end and be bitter towards Russell even tho Russell clearly had nothing to do with his blindside.

    It seems so standard these days, but that Mitchell blindside was mind-blowing at the time. We were all so used to alliances just forming and going straight down the line with their votes. And then Tina's suddenly being all cryptic and being like, "Let the games begin", it was such a cool reveal. For Fabio I would say pushing for Jane to go at final 6 before Dan. Most likely Chase Sash and Holly would eventually vote for Jane anyway, but Fabio did his part to ensure a potential challenge beast left to help his odds at an immunity run and keep his only ally left for one more vote at least. Other than that Fabio’s best straights were his ability despite being a physical threat to be less of a target than players like Alina and Marty and making moves only when he had to.

      As for women winners, 7/20 of the "main" US big brothers were won by women, and if you also look at other US big brothers that are just named differently (Big Brother Over the Top and Celebrity Big Brother) then 10/23 winners were women. A pretty even split, maybe on the low side but with such a small sample of 23 big brothers it sorta makes sense. As for survivor, 15/38 winners were women, moreso on the low side, but again 38 seasons is a relatively small sample so maybe it will even out as years go on.

    For your Sarah one, I'm pretty sure we learned from interviews that it was only brought up that the advantage couldn't be given to another player when Troyzan read the fine print and saw "this advantage cannot be transferred". All of Sarah's confessionals from before tribal indicate that she was always intending on giving Cirie the advantage wholesale and thought she was sacrificing something by giving it to Cirie (the agreement was that it be for a certain amount of time). If Cirie wasn't such a nice person she should be very mad at production for making such a mess (they should have stopped Sarah from giving it to Cirie).

    • @Peridiam
      @Peridiam  5 лет назад +2

      I went through the episode and the post-season interviews with a fine tooth comb. Sarah always knew the advantage was not Cirie's, it was a ploy to bargain for trust. Troyzan highlighted the non-transferable bit but Sarah was fixated on how it couldn't be taken from her, which was basically one in the same -- in other words, Sarah knew it was never Cirie's to play, and that if she were voted out that night, the advantage would go out with her.
      They never should've stopped Sarah from what she did, because what she did was 100% acceptable. It's akin to letting someone hold an idol without actually giving it to them, except in this case the idol had specific rules attached that Sarah knew about and made sure Cirie didn't.

    • @corsothewolf8911
      @corsothewolf8911 5 лет назад

      @@Peridiam Okay, I trust you to get it right. I hadn't looked back at it since two years ago. I do prefer it when a player can be socially liked enough to win over the others rather than relying on game rules and trickery (I call it trickery because she never spelled out to Cirie that the advantage couldn't be transferred, even if she liked the idea that Cirie would try and fail and be worse off). Sarah was still a great winner (and trickery is a valid play-style) who deserved it, but I was sitting in Cirie's camp that whole time waiting for her moment and it blew up in her face :(.

    Peridiam just so you now during that Sarah-Crie-Michaela tribal... Sarah didn't realise the transfer thing. Guess who asked if it was non transferrable... of all the people there? That's right Troyzan... apparently even Probst was going to give it a pass. Someday I'll recheck to see who said this and the source of it. Btw i think it wasnt troyzan who claimed this. I'll just imagine you did the Sarah getting Sierra's advanatge instead

    • @Peridiam
      @Peridiam  5 лет назад +3

      According to Sarah, Troy mentioned it afterward, but Sarah knew about it. I re-listened to her deep dive on RHAP to make sure.

    I don't care what you think about him as a winner,but bens sub alliance is one of the best movies ever he knew that when it came too
    , his alliance would take him out,so he made a move and made a sub alliance to take out his alliance before they took out him

      Agreed, the jury had to have a reason to vote for him, and that double agent move makes me hopeful that he can prove himself in season 40.

  • @reginamachamer821
    @reginamachamer821 Год назад

    Tbf, at least according to Troyzan, Sarah either didn't know or didn't remember that the advantage was non-transferable. He claims that they argued about it for a few mins and then Troyzan himself supposedly said something like "hold on, wait, read the bottom section out loud" and then they all realized it said "non-transferable". I mean he could be just making it up, but why would he? Any of the people who were there could easily be like "umm no..?" Lol so basically idk that Sarah gave Cirie the advantage with the intention to see if she would use it and betray her. I think she really thought that if she got voted out Cirie could just have it.
    Idk though bc I haven't seen this season in ages and I don't remember what all Sarah said in confessional and stuff, just thought it was worth mentioning.

    I fully think that Tina hás the most impressive dominant winning game by a female player outside of Kim Spradlin. The way she played this round and the merge round were flawless. I think people don't look at her Australian Outback game that highly because of her notion that "the good people nerd to win". But that doesn't change the fact that she had full control from the Mitchell boot forward.

    Ok what I really liked about Tony's playstyle is how much he basically invented his own stuff outside the game to give him an edge. Wether it was a spy shack, the made up rule giving an idol to Jeremiah, or his bag of tricks with the fake idol. It's very a clearly if I don't have a way out make it myself strategy.

      I think there were two reasons: 1) It wasn't relevant to the story in the end, and 2) It showed the winner ignoring one of the producers twists. Likely just a decision to put more airtime toward the downfall of Erik over watching Parv do some minor stuff on Exile. Parv didn't have a big edit that season anyway.

    Wait. First ever idol play when the idol holder plays it for someone else and negate the majority of the votes? Russell did that in the greatest move of all times and that was almost ten seasons before San Juan del Sur

    • @Patrick-eu6gi
      @Patrick-eu6gi 2 года назад

      When Russel did it in HvV, he negated 4 votes out of 9 total against Parvati, which would’ve been enough to vote Parvati out considering it was a 4-3-2 split, but it wasn’t a majority of the votes, it was only a plurality
